- In March 2023, Russia revealed that it would complete the modernisation of its missile defence systems by the end of 2023. Russia began prioritising its aerospace defence capabilities in 2020, when the Kremlin announced its State Armament Program. The program is reportedly intended to result in the deployment of 800 S-400, S-350, and S-500 missile launchers in 100 battalions. Under this program, known as GPV-2027 in Russia, Moscow aims to complete the production of the new S-500 system. Moscow claims that the new systems can easily take down American fifth-generation fighter jets F-22s and F-35s. However, very little is known about the S-500’s true combat capability. Nope, s-500 are not specifically designed to shoot down stealth aircrafts like f-22 Or f-35 aircrafts, the s-500 are specifically designed as an anti-ballistic missile shield to shoot down very high flying ballistic missiles, Russia is manufacturing and inducting more and more s-500 systems since the start of Russia -ukraine war either Russia may be fearing ballistic missile attack from nato Or Russia itself may be planning to use nuclear attack in the future and in that eventuallity to prevent any counter ballistic missile strikes of hostile powers.
To take out stealth aircrafts one would need better radar and electronic warfare systems to detect , track and shoot down these stealth aircrafts.
But they can adapt it. Like how they easily adapted pantsirs to thwart himars

launch power is incredible. But, that is not hitting something that has an unpredictable flight plan. You get speed or accuracy. If this was aimed at stationary targets then it's game over anything moving it's most likely going to miss.
Wrong. The missile is way superior in speed and maneuverability than any human operated aircraft. if it's locked on the target it's game over.
Except if the target has tremendous speed (Hyper Sonic) the unpredictability of the target path means nothing once it's discovered by the radar.

Everything about radar is in real time. Radio waves travel at the speed of light.
"Unpredictability" of the target path is related to the interceptor VS target speed and maneuverability. The one with the higher figures triumphs.
Other than that when a radar illuminates a target the tracking is happning at the speed of light , in real time.

The F22s were designed to evade Russian air defense. And I would think F35s are no different.
F-35 would be heavily supported by jamming aircraft to degrade the range of Russian radars, there would be ELINT aircraft to detect the Russian radars and anti radiation missiles to attack the Russian radars. The S-500 is just another target for us to destroy.
