  • Over four years ago I bought this rebounder or mini trampoline amzn.to/3QM9SdX and use it every day. Two years ago I posted a popular video review describing the pros and cons of the rebounder and the benefits of exercising with a mini trampoline. Viewers have asked me for an update and review of my experience using the rebounder daily for over the last four years.
I recommend you also watch the more detailed and specific first video to get the best information about this mini trampoline.

Wow! You look younger in this video, healthier, and less winded talking while bouncing! I’m so impressed 🎉 Time restricted eating and cutting out sugar and low carb has left me with no pain and lost 130 lbs so far. I meditate in the morning and set my focus on positive things so I attract more. I think I’ll follow with bouncing now 😃 You are an absolute delight! I’m so glad I found your Channel. I remember when Gregory Peck was doing his show, like the late 90’s? Didn’t get to see it then, but feel like I’ve heard the most important part.

Hi...just wanted to comment that I watched your 2yr video which led me to your 4yr, very inspiring, you're looking good, love your honest approach. I've always been active but wanted to add some fun to my day, after hearing about the benefits of rebounding I purchased a rebounder in Dec. '23 as part of my promise to start '24 with better health and exercise routines. Cardio and stretching along with better eating habits from now on!

@@RobbsHomemadeLife - Well by golly, I did watch your video from two years ago! It is equally as inspiring. Please take care of your acid reflux. Please. You seem like a great guy! I had that and heartburn for decades and developed Barretts Esophagus in my 50's. At age 63, it evolved into cancer and has been a battle that I think I'm winning. I began taking Pantoprazole years ago and it seems to be the best thing for it. No more gerd or heartburn. I didn't know people could live without Tums or Rolaids but I'm doing it! Please, if you have not done so and it is still bothering you, think about having an endoscopy. I was very lucky and my cancer was caught early. I was also surprised when you said you had afib because I just went through a cardioversion a month ago. It really seemed to help me but I'll know more in time. Tom thanks so much for your reply I really appreciate it. I had my throat checked out a couple years ago and thank the Lord I was able to get off the omeprazole and things are pretty much back to normal. Everybody is different. For me it helped to not eat late meals and then go to bed or even have lunch and lay down. I also think the melatonin helps. You are right about our health as we get older. People wonder what they are going to do when they retire. For me it has been to educate myself about how to maintain and improve my physical and mental health. Some of the best information about any illness or ailment I have had has come from other people who have had the same situation. Thanks a lot Tom and best of luck to you.

      @RobbsHomemadeLife  2 роки тому +2

RaKa I always say that the habit muscle is the hardest one to develop. I have been reading a lot about habits and how to acquire them. It seems to help if you can link a habit to one that is already established. Also it does it matter if you start off slow. For example if there is something you need to do every day for half an hour and you just start off by doing it for two minutes every day. Once you have the habit of doing it for two minutes whatever it is then you can increase the time. If you start off at half an hour it's easy to stop.

YES! I first discovered your channel with your first rebounder video and subscribed for the rest of it. I can do without the kippers, but know how to substitute, and love your plant growing, the inventions, and meal preps. My rebounder is bigger, but I 'fell off the wagon' and stopped doing it during the summer when I had more going on at home. It is a big yes to all you have said and you are not rambling. It is so weird that I was thinking about you and your rebounding this morning to remind myself to start up again. Instead of making the railings, just put the rebounder closer to your wall unit and you can use your hand on that bottom shelf to steady yourself once you get old. By the way, you are looking very healthy.
I can relate to your bursts of exercise because that is what I do. I've been trimming my huge hedge for the last 4 days and hopefully, I will be finished with all the yardwork in time for my hibernation by Nov.1. The hedge trimmer is so very heavy (extends to a great height) but is so darn heavy at the business end that I can only manage short bursts, rest, and back at it again.
I want more of these chats while rebounding! It is so great because you mirror many of my thoughts and practices and are motivating and inspirational in the process.

I live in Bretagne, here in France and I wanted to add something about the Lascaux cave paintings that have only been discovered recently: they are actually animations when viewed by candlelight. The horses move when seen by the flickering of candlelight.

Great job Robb. You kind of sound like me. Had back problems all my life, but working behind the computer made it worse. I got one of those desk treadmills and was walking 16 to 20 miles a day. Then it happened, I was carrying a box on my shoulder one day and it went to fall and I tried to catch it. I ended up messing up my back. I could no longer walk and spent the next 6 months in intense pain on the floor most days. Tried pain management and they wanted to do surgery. I said no as most back surgeries fail. I basically thought my life was over. After a while I was able to walk again. Surfing youtube I saw an electric unicycle. I said no way, but it pointed me towards an ebike. I thought I would give that a try. I was blown away. It made me feel like 16 again. It made such a difference in my life I started keeping a vlog on my channel. That was about 2 years ago. I will soon pass 10,000 miles. I said all that to say, maybe you should add an ebike into your exercise program. ; ) It will make you feel like a teenager again. I ride 16-20 miles a day all year long. Ice storm stopped me for a day and rain [and a tornado] puts a damper on it, but most days I am riding and feeling 16 again. I have been doing videos on it for 2 years now. People have reported back and said I was the inspiration for them riding again, so that makes it worth it all. That is my cave painting to the world.
Keep on keeping on. : )

Hey Mr. blue shirt I like the way you think. You're like me. Everyone always tries to tell you how to get to the road that takes you to no when you want to find the road that goes to yes. I'm glad you didn't have the back surgery. I have heard the same thing. I have been bouncing on a mini trampoline since 2018 and I like it a lot. However I would love any bike but where I live is very urban and congested and there are not many safe places to ride at all. At least not nearby.
I watch a couple of people on UA-cam that are pretty smart like Scott Adams. When he went on vacation a year ago he rode an E bike for the first time when he was in Greece and he said it was the future of transportation. He went crazy over his. There is a trail out in the Everglades for bicycles but I don't think they like motorized vehicles out there. I have always wanted to take my many folding bicycle and put a sale on it and take it out to the road in the Everglades and go sailing in the swamp if there is a nice wind from the east or North.
I have watched a few of your bike videos and I can tell you are having a great time and the places you are writing yours looks perfect. I need to find a way to get back to a body of water I can go rowing and sailing again. That was my favorite thing to do.
Thanks a lot for responding. Hey, before I go, have you ever thought about growing mushrooms? I would love to grow them here but the weather is so warm and humid I don't think they will grow on my balcony. I will think about your E bike suggestion especially the next time I ride on my folding bicycle. See you out there Mr. blue shirt.😃

@@RobbsHomemadeLife I believe a class 2 ebike can be ridden on any trail, so do not let that stop you. They even have stealth ebikes. Ebikes that are very hard to tell they are ebikes, so no one would know. They would just think you were in super shape LOL. Rowing would not work for me, I almost drown when I was a kid so I am terrified of water. The family always kids me and says if I fell in our pond I would freakout and try to dog paddle, only to have them yell "Dad stand up it is only 2 feet deep lol.
Re mushrooms: Warm and humid may work, I think it has to be dark too, but you could put it in something. I have thought about it and may try it sometime. I was concerned about mold growing on the walls or something, but I may do more research on it. I used to eat mushrooms I found in the wild when I was younger, I now realize how dangerous that was. Take a trip and never leave the farm LOL

Hey Mr. blue shirt. I used to sail a lot in North Biscayne Bay and always wore my life jacket and my friends made fun of me because the water was so shallow if I fell overboard I could break my arm.
I have had similar thoughts about growing mushrooms indoors. It worries me I could be inhaling a lot of spores from the mushrooms. But I have been eating a lot of mushrooms. I read an article the other day that had a study claiming that many mushrooms helped increase and maintain brain health. I need all the help I can get. The study said even the plain white button mushrooms work. I eat about three or four cans a week. You are so right about the wild mushrooms. When I was younger I a a lot of wild foods and now that I am older I have learned that many of them had other plants that were very similar in appearance and I got lucky. I see a lot of UA-cam videos telling people to eat different lawsuits without giving them any warnings about the mistakes they could make.
Most of the electric bikes are very expensive and I drive an old 1994 Corolla. It would be hard for me to buy a bicycle that cost more than my car. However I have a feeling they are just as fun as you have said they are and I need to look into them more. There may be a bike store nearby where I could rent one for the day to see if I like it before I bought it. Or maybe just retrofit one of my folding bicycles. I'm not too worried about writing it out on the Everglades trail and having someone complain. If someone stops me I will just tell them that my bicycle self identifies as a non-electric bicycle and that they need to appreciate and not be dismissive of my bicycles life choice.
In between the rain down here in South Florida this morning and amidst a tornado warning I planted some kale, tomatoes, cucumbers and collards on the riverbank with the tip of my umbrella. We shall see what happens.

Robb, you may have just saved my old behind. I just put one in my cart. A really bad doctor clobbered me seven and a half years ago. He gave me a drug that nearly killed me, then more drugs to counter act it that gave me a nasty heart arrhythmia.
For my entire life, no matter what illness or injury befell me, I was able to exercise my way back to health. That ……guy, fixed it so I couldn’t sleep or exercise. The greatest challenge for over a year was trying to rest without the capability to sleep. Then ,to keep from falling to anger and despair, not to mention finding ways to secure proper nutrition and continue with life’s most basic responsibilities. I focused on trying to stay sane. I kept my mind active with studying history and playing music, but It was all from a sitting position. It became a real serious problem.
The biggest hurdle now, is finding a low impact way to get my circulation back in order. I’ve healed enough from the poisoning, but I’m so out of shape that all my previous , regular exercise practices are dangerous. This may prove to be the key to getting strong enough to start getting out and about again.
BTW, I just received my new 18” Tamontina. Wow! It’s a beauty. I promise not to play with it while I’m bouncing.
One more thing. I just saw a short video called “Squishing Pennies is so Satisfying “. Somebody came up with the idea to charge fifty cents to smash a penny flat in a coin operated metal rolling mill. You gotta see this thing.
It’s the perfect analogy of this new economy.

Hey chops, I'm so happy the video helped you. I get a lot of satisfaction from knowing any of my videos help people. It's a wonderful feeling. I agree with you about the rebounder. I have used it a couple days when I was feeling ill and thought I had the flu and I hardly bounced at all and held onto the bookcase with one arm and just put my body in motion and it was helpful. My rebounder is a little stiff so if I bounced to vigorously I think it put some stress on my joints and maybe a more expensive softer rebounder would be good for a person that wanted to use it vigorously but for just getting the body in motion the low-cost one I use has worked out good. It would be wonderful if you had a swimming pool nearby you could use because the water supports your body while you're moving and is very therapeutic. I didn't know you had trouble sleeping. That is the worst thing in the world for your health. Whenever I have gone to the hospital I could not sleep and the lack of sleep destroyed me.
I have made a couple of videos about my little MP3 player radio. I made a tape to listen to sort of like an affirmation or motivation tape and I put it under my pillow when I go to bed sometimes and it makes me go to sleep and less than five minutes. I will do a video on it. The great thing about that little MP3 player is that it has a function that will allow the recording to play continuously or repeat at the end or play for specific amount. Of time before ending.
Something else that is helpful is to lay down or sit in take large breasts of air repeatedly for several minutes at a time. If you count them and just think about your breathing it helps clear your mind. The rebounder helps supposedly your lymph system to clean out any toxins but you can also give yourself a massage from your feet to the top of your head and I think that helps a lot too. Whenever I am not feeling too well I will do that and it helps a lot.
Good luck on your journey chops. I know you can do it.

Fortunately, the damage that horrible prescription did to the sleep center of my brain has healed to the point where insomnia is no longer an issue. It took seven and a half years. Had I not been in such good physical condition when it happened, I probably wouldn’t have survived. I advise anyone whose doctor, out of the blue, prescribes a medication with a “black box warning” prescribed “off label” to get a new doctor. That’s not a doctor. It’s a drug pusher. One pill can actually kill you, or worse! I called the FDA on that ……guy, and he “ flew the coop”.
If I’m having trouble getting to sleep now, I use a sleep aid in the form of listening to a video by a channel called “crysknife007”. The video is called “Super Deep Cosmic Background Radiation Ambient Noise (10 hours)”.
It’s the actual electromagnetic background noise produced by the universe that’s been filtered and buffered for easy listening. That stuff knocks me out cold. If that isn’t enough, I’ll take some magnesium and calcium citrate.
The very best “sleep aid” though, is physical activity and a proper diet suited to one’s situation.
The gentle stimulation provided by that bouncer looks promising and it’s not very expensive. Bouncing to the right music should be fun. I’m going to try some early Little Richard and Chuck Berry. Those two always got my blood pumping.

I had a rebounder with springs that kept breaking because I used it so much. I notice the one you use has tension bands. Have any ever snapped? How are they holding up for ya? Have you ever used one with bungee cords?

Hey thanks for watching and commenting. You're right my rebounder has elastic bands and they are still working great for it I use it everyday since 2018.

I understand that is is good for lessening afib episodes. Does your rebounding seem to affect the placement of your pacemaker?

Hello, thanks for watching and commenting. I've never hot up pacemaker. I did have a cardiac ablation but not a pacemaker. I don't jump and my bouncing is not vigorous but I do feel I have benefited from it. I have been doing it almost every day or I should say every morning since 2018.

Hello, thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. I think the weight loss has come about because I have reduced the amount I eat. I have breakfast and lunch but for dinner I have a small shake made from berries and a spoonful of protein powder. The dried berries are economical and I put them in a jar of water and the next evening I blend them up. I use cranberry, cherry, blueberry, amla powder, protein powder and psyllium husk. It tastes a lot better than it sounds. I am hoping to lose some more and go to 185. I was about to 210.
