they've basically just given us one of the best DAPs in the world but we can use whatever interface we want rather than whatever garbage custom OS or android skins other DAPs use
I really don't get it, why this brick is more expensive than Mojo? Its really hard to decide wether upgrade to Poly or buy a way good DAP with its price? The only feature I'm interested is control Poly's SD card with phone. And that feature is the same as Hiby Link, so basically Control your Shanling M1 and Mojo wirelessly via you phone. Its cheaper. lol! I'll just buy the sony walkman remote controller then.
Yes, you have the option of controlling it on the Mojo or on your phone. That is determined in the initial set up that is relatively easy to change when desired. It’s pretty cool, but until they release the Gofigure app that was noted in the video, configuration is a bit clumsy. Doable, but clumsy. What is impressive is the variety of wireless connectivity/source options. I primarily use a microSD card as the source and use a DNLA/MPD app on my iPhone to control it. 8player or MPDluxe are options recommended by Chord (8player does not recognize DSD files, but has a nice interface. MDPluxe plays all files, but the interface is a bit lacking, functional though). Maximum music quality if you have HiRes music files. NAS would work just as well I would imagine.
