The World of Interiors presents Visitors’ Book with renowned set designer Tom Pye at the Royal Opera House in London. Step inside the world of Cinderella, as we go behind the scenes of the Royal Ballet’s production of Cinderella and explore the awe-inspiring set of Frederick Ashton’s timeless classic.
Part of a team tasked with creating a Cinderella production that is both modern and upholds traditions that span decades, Tom’s intricate set design has to both set the scene and compliment the splendid choreography. “I spiral around researching all sorts of things,” Tom says as he explains his inductive design methodology. “I started looking at fairytales particularly and illustrations in children’s books.” Watch the full episode of Visitors’ Book as we explore the set of Cinderella at the Royal Opera House in London.
