Side note, I can't say how appreciative I am that the trowel doesn't have durability. You just make it and use it. It's not a weapon. It's not something like dire's building gadgets, it just randomly picks from your hotbar, so it's just a single craft and done.

I haven't played MC in almost a year. This is the first mod pack to get me excited about playing again. As a memory handicapped combat veteran I struggle to remember how all the mods work. Quests are a must because of this, as I need reminders of what I can do. This looks so fun! I can't wait to download it today.
I just downloaded it and played for about an hour. Seems very well put together
It's fun but the quests don't guide you through using the mods at all. It frustrated me to the point I deleted the file that removes EMC from everything.
protip: to save a small headache later, break a villager's work station to remove their profession before you pick them up and take them away from that area. it'll make it easier to deal with them later.
I was gonna say this, but I've only ever played with Easy Villagers in Vault Hunters, which is 1.18. So I was gonna wait and see if that was applicable in the 1.20 version of the mod.
tip: if a villager with a profession hasn’t been traded with, they will switch professions if they are placed in a trader with a a different poi

Great first episode! I've been following your progress on Project Architect 2 and have already started exploring my world. Thanks for explaining what gets EMC values and what doesn't.
i love how your modpack is the first one on the featured list, I've been a long time watcher from when i was like 13 I'm 20 now i still appreciate your videos.

This looks like my kind of pack! All the others don't seem to focus enough on exploration. Definitely looking forward to this series, and even hoping back into MC myself.
I got a transmutation tablet from my first reward. I didn't know it was a random reward till I watched this. Now I'm debating if the 2 million emc is worth giving up the comfort of portable transmutation

EMC done right. Beautiful.
Combines automation with EMC (ProjectE) in the best way possible, notably removing EMC from many items and materials to encourage/force automation rather than just "make everything with EMC", which is how EMC typically plays out in the end.
Personally, I've made a few changes to the pack myself, but unlike with most modpacks that require a LOT of balancing and reworking, the changes I've made are personal preferences.
For example, I've added the DankStorage mod which gives yet another alternative boost to both building and storage. I would argue that Sophisticated Backpacks and Sophisticated Storage are more balanced than DankStorage, so if you want to keep the pack balanced (which somehow it miraculously is), leave it alone.
However, one thing I did change that doesn't affect balance is I added Dynamic Trees and got rid of biome mods that are incompatible, namely Regions Unexplored. Instead, for better biomes, I added Terralith and Biomes o' Plenty, which both have add-on mods to add support for Dynamic Trees. Personally, I can barely even play the game without Dynamic Trees anymore, it adds so, SO much to the experience, even if it doesn't really change gameplay itself all that much.
I also added a few other things such as automatic tool swapping. You can get that feature as an upgrade (part of Dynamic Backpacks, I think?), but it just makes it better to have it from the get-go IMO.
But as for this pack itself, it's brilliant. Like ChosenArchitect said, tons of work has been put into it, starting with basic, core mechanics. For example, the Transmutation Table can now be easily and quickly broken with any tool or item (or your hand) AND it's emissive. It's a perfect way to skip the first hour of ProjectE where you're slowly grinding like normal until you can craft a Transmutation Table.
So, bottom line: When ChosenArchitect says "meticulously crafted", he's not kidding. No modpack will be exactly what everyone is looking for so if playing the official modpack that others are all playing isn't essential to you, I would recommend experimenting with which features you enjoy and which features you find to be lacking. Again, the pack itself is perfect, but everyone has their own personal preferences.
PS: Note that messing with large modpacks like Project Architect 2 oftentimes bricks your game. Errors on startup, map load, random crashes, etc. are all possible. So if you don't know how mods work together, how to read Java Stack Traces and use them to debug the issue, etc., then I'd leave it alone. I've bricked the game about a dozen times in my attempts to configure the pack to my exact preferences, but once I finally got it where I wanted it, it was totally worth it.
PPS: Keep the core of the pack the same, or at least that's my recommendation. The work that has gone into balancing this pack is absolutely unreal, and making changes to the balance would be a shame.

Man my first reward was a "Basic EMC Link [MK 1]", let's just say the 4.3M EMC it gives really helps at the start
its nice to see Draconic and Project E in the same pack, i feel like those two will go super crazy as a combo

Just a personal discovery, but Ocean Monuments are INSANE for early game EMC. Mined for 2 minutes and went from 200k EMC to 5 mil. Each prismarine block is about 2,000 EMC.
I purposely avoided all the dev streams because I wanted to experience it when it was and I am incredibly impressed with this. This pack pretty much just ticks all my boxes.

the island is so perfect. Like, noone can resist an decent size island and also connected with other lands by bridges
Best quest rewards I have gotten so far is a transmutation tablet so useful.

I was just playing this modpack today and the way you tweaked the projectE mod is amazing. I love this new mechanic that doesn’t make the pack too easy but instead turns it into a quality of life mod instead of a cheaty mod

The EMC route reminds me of Mechanical Mastery which only had the raw ingredients EMC-able. Loved that pack and looking forward to playing this too.

Just started this pack, I truly hope you're gonna do some stuff with Create mod in there, there's so much addons that were added, it would be a shame not to use the possibilities of it, can I suggest some QoL mods, like Chipped, Chipped Express, Chisel Chipped Integration, and Rechiseled Chipped, theses can help when you want a crap ton of Chipped blocks of the same type for example.

I love emc being used not for cheesing the entire progression of the game, but being used to make building so much easier. I don't really like playing in creative because I like a little bit of a challenge, but I also don't like manually chopping down like 20 trees to get all of the wood for a basic house frame lol

Love the idea! Would be cool if you added create in the mix and made a skyblock version of it.
Sad theres no Lite version, as I have to run the modpack on 20-50fps (very interchangable, mainly like 20-30), RAM is fine, just GPU usage going from 20% to 100% a lot. a really good modpack tho
Played the 1.5 version for a good few hours almost all of which was just being a loot goblin in the bunch of villages that were around my spawn, including an air village. I got nothing done except a little mob farm using dreadful dirt. :D

I using Prism as my mod loader now, it so good
id either shorten that window by one block to a two by two window or lengthen it by one to a four by two while lengthening the shutters as well if your going to use those shutters as you currently have a 6 block window with only four blocks worth of shutters

I used your seed and made a server so me and my buddy can play together. I made a massive house and he made a rftools builder that’s actually a miner so we can get some emc.(If you want to share emc with someone, install projecte teams mod)

I added a couple of my own mods to this pack. Just random stuff, this pack already has everything lol!..... update 2 weeks later.... I broke everything.... DON'T TRY TO MAKE YOUR OWN CUSTOM EMC VALUES FOR DIFFERENT BLOCKS IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!

How do you disable the item enlarging effect in the inventory? Every time you click or drag an item, it gets bigger.
