Wicked Easy Trick for Minor Scales All Over the Neck - in Any Key!

i’ve been playing guitar since i was a kid, but i never really bothered to learn scales out of the bounds of a small portion of the neck. I always wanted to solo all across the neck, and it was frustrating that i never learned. If anything just to access the full range of notes and voicing possibilities. Learning this and applying it to the scales i already know (as well as new ones) has made the guitar fun again. It feels like there’s so much creativity that this video could unlock for guitar players. Thank you so much.

I always find that learning these tricks is way way way way easier for me if I start anywhere without an open string. If I start it on the g, my fingers all are involved. If I start with an open string I get confused. I always learn it away from the first fret and once I have it I then go and learn it at open end, because my fingers get confused any other way. If that makes sense.
This works great with harmonic minor too. Only 1 fret to slide up instead of 2!

I’m having trouble corroborating the Minor Scale pattern image from your screen??? Also, is “Minor” scale the Natural, Harmonic, or Melodic Minor?
So, is it: 1, 2, b3, 4, 5, b6, b7 ?
Is the root note at the “1” position or the “6” position? Are the numbers from the corresponding Major scale sequence and we’re just fooling around with the pattern to make it Minor?
I want that your guitar. What make is that? I am thinking of buying Gibson, but this sounds really moved me

Ive heard that solo towards the end of Stairway to heaven like a million times, and after a month of playing guitar my fingers still cant play it. 😢 my ears cant reach the guitar so i guess im stuck relying on my fingers. Help.
Keep working on it, but that is one of the greatest solos in history, and is not very easy, even for people who have been playing for years. If you can get it down, your well on your way. But the beautiful thing about soloing, you don’t have to be exact note for note. Have fun and don’t take it too seriously.
