Aim just uses length so we are searching for the longest fish. Each length has a weight associated so the conversion gives you an idea of what you’d have for weight for a reference but ultimately just looking for the longest fish in the system👍
@@joeokada Thanks Joe. CPR is good for releasing quickly, but some how they should incorporate girth. The formula is Weight = Length x Girth (squared) /shape factor (750). This would require more handling the fish would not be the best. I guess the playing field is the same for everyone. Next time you catch a girthy walleye (29 +) check it out. Use a cloth tape or tailors tape works fast. You may have done this... Thanks again...good luck out...tight lines
May is a great month to start with them but they can get bites in cold water if you can find them. I think there’s a small shop in waubasha that carries them but I don’t know the name.
Many people prefer braid to flouro for pitching jigs. Sometimes I do too but in current I prefer straight mono. Just personal preference either way you'll catch fish!
That was incredible! You and G work so well together.
So good Joe, what a horse! You both earned that one!
That big girl made our day for sure!
Joe, it was great chatting with you for a few minutes at the weigh in at Petenwell on Sunday. Wishing you the best of luck the rest of the season!
Thanks Ryan, same to you!
Thatt second fish, you could see the rod thump in your hand when it bit. Love that feeling!
That’s the best!
Got to say Hi to you while pre fishing on Friday afternoon on Petenwell. Made my day! That was #1 on my list.
Appreciate it man, hope you guys had a fun weekend!

Thanks Justin! I'm skipping red wing. Too tight of a schedule, I need to be home before leaving for the AIM shootout.
@@joeokada well shit good luck at that then we r headed to ND slip boober bite is on
Nice job! Just wondering about the weight calculation? I see you don't measure girth. Do they calculate that with the length? Thanks

Any idea when willowcats start to be a good bait, and any bait shops you know of near wabasha and lake pepin for willowcats?

Would using braid with a long mono leader be okay? Or does the braid impact the action?

What lb test mono? Sensation?
6-8 usually. TrileneXT or yellow stren works good
