The A-bomb causalities IRL are the equivalent numbers to killed by Ainz's spell. 70,000 instant dead is also the number that Oppenheimer quoted the A-bombs would kill. Which is also how many instantly died from the first part of Ainz's spell.

To be honest, I'm not surprised they don't even consider Momon and the Sorcerer King being the same person. In their world, even the most powerful people ever have specialised in one thing. Someone being that powerful a mage AND that great a warrior would be literally mind-breaking for most of them.
Ainz showing his genius at hiding or altering information and spreading it even when he doesn't mean to is always nice to watch.
Momon who is pretty courageous to the point of recklessness vs Ainz’ cunning and intelligence is pretty much the complete opposite of each other XD

(No spoilers, just extra details from the LN’s that were exluded from Seasons 1-3, and dont impact the story much other than simple background knowledge)
Jircniv is actually a really good emperor, he purged the corrupt nobles when he ascended the throne, made a ton of reforms to help the commoners, and improved the empire for the better by a lot. He also does a lot of the work himself, instead of passing it off to other people. Jircniv, in Season 3, asked Ainz to open the war with his most powerful spell, because he wanted to show the rest of the world that all the countries needed to come together in order to fight Ainz, he was expecting maybe 10,000 casualties, not 150,000. That was soooo far beyond anything he could have ever seen coming, but the rest of the world thought he knew what the outcome would be, and blamed him for such a huge tragedy. Its extremely unfair though, since even Fluder, one of the strongest mages alive, nearing the level spoken about in legends, cant even manage 10,000 casualties with a single spell, so 15x that is beyond anything considered possible

I greatly appreciate the understanding on why Jircniv acts the way he does. I see so many people going "Why wouldn't you just submit to Ainz without thinking?", completely incapable of understanding the mindset of people in power. Overlord's characters aren't that shallow.
True. In their experience, undead are inherently evil, and now this big guy starts throwing his weight around. They have no rrason to trust him. Even if theyre allies with the empire, the Katze Plains Massacre felt like a threat against the empire too.
I think the fact that Pandora's Actor has been playing Momon for Ainz makes it extremely unlikely that they'll put it together that Ainz and Momon were/are the same person because they can now be in the exact same place at the same time.

Emperor Jircniv is actually the best human ruler in the entire continent, literally his entire being is dedicated to his nation and nothing else.
Sadly in any other anime Jircniv would be the bad guy against Climb, assuming Renner is sane.

But considering that the Kingdom shines because of his mediocrity, he would undoubtedly have been a better King than anyone in his family, he was literally the only one who cared about the kingdom and its people.

They (Slane theocracy) aren't just now having a problem with the kingdom (drug trade, etc). This was the whole reason they sent the Sunlight Scripture in Season 1 Episode 3-4 to take out Gazef so the empire could easily take over Re-Estize.
Jircniv would have been a great leader. It was a very unlucky timing for him to rule when Nazarick shows up. His methods in Baharuth Empire is what Slane Theocracy had dreamed Re-estize Kingdom should have become. So yeah, Slane tried to give Baharuth a covert helping hand by assassinating Gazef which could embolden the nobles for civil war within Re-estize for Baharuth to swoop in and make good use of those massive resources that Re-estize been squandering for decades.
the adamantite team feels so much like a DnD team, like that interaction with the bard and the warrior is exactly how most dnd adventurer would do in this situation. oh we have to guard the king but we also want to learn about their talk? hey let "accidentally" break the door. oops now the door is open and we can hear everything.
Ainz's cautiousness in earlier seasons finally paying off.
One of the main tactical strategy in playing Yggdrassil is to contain info from leaking and using it to their advantage. Ainz and his minions have done a very good job in concealing information and feed those people with false/fake image of them. A lot of people are thinking Ainz's doing too much but if there's another waves of powerful players or Guild get transported to NW, AOG will be in a lot better position facing them.

Regarding the 200 years talk, basically they were saying that it has been 200 years since the last time gods descended on their world. The conversation went like this (these are my own translations btw):
Skinny faced guy: “Isn’t this the magic of the gods, 11th tier magic? Which means…”
Pudgy faced guy: “The gods have descended.”
Monocle guy: “So they have finally come.”
Bearded glasses guy: “It must be. Has it been 200 years since the last time?”
So, they recognize that this is god level magic, and we can speculate from these comments that “gods” … in other words, other Yggdrasil Players, have come to this world before. “Kin” means “related to,” so the Godkin may be descendants of these players, which explains how they are extremely powerful. These godkin include the two that was pictured and perhaps the dragon (or is that a Player?) and that old lady adventurer that gave the ring to Gazef.

El nix is genuinely a good person, who cares about his people and he is just not afraid to play dirty against those who are threatening his people.
If he lets Ainz run free, there is no guarantee for his people's safety in the future.
The reason he let Ainz open the war, was to let the rest of the world know that Ainz existed and was a world level threat, in the hope that the rest of the world would band together to take him down.
He did not expect Ainz to be that strong and is now blaming himself for those 140.000 dead

In the Empire the nobles have no political authority. Nix consolidated and took all power (and money) from them. He is in the opposite situation of E-Rantel. He has literally no one in government to help him cuz he ran them out. All he has is military advisors. Ainz was in between two very flawed governments. Corrupt/incompetent nobles (E-Rantel) and an autocrat (Empire).
Basically there is the chad Emperor and the virgin King.

Jircniv asked Momonga to use his strongest spell to gauge his power and devise a plan/strategy to fight him and his undead army. He was expecting Momonga power to be "slightly" above Fluder. This is what happened when Jircniv saw the petition sent to him by his Knight Corps on the table and started cursing Momonga. (The excerpt from the LN below reflects what exactly took place.)
These petitions, from the upper echelons of the Knight Corps’ command structure, expressed their desire to avoid warfare with the Sorcerous Kingdom.
Jircniv could understand that sort of thing even if they did not bring it up.
Anyone who dared face that Kingdom in open combat would be far beyond a mere fool; he would be an absolute madman. That was a nation that could trample 200,000 enemy troops with a single spell. There was no way Jircniv would conceivably pick a fight with such a foe.
Even so, the reason why the Knight Corps had tendered such a petition was because they had lost their faith in Jircniv.
Before the Battle of the Katze Plains, Jircniv had proposed to the Sorcerer King: “I hope you will use your strongest spell”. The upper echelons of the Knight Corps knew this, and laid the blame for that miserable hellscape squarely at the feet of Jircniv.
In other words, they were using him as a scapegoat.
When Jircniv learned this he was both furious and frustrated in the extreme.
If he had known that such magic existed, he would never have said such a thing.
Besides, the reason why Jircniv had asked that damnable Sorcerer King to use his strongest spell was to verify how powerful his magic was.
Originally, it should have been the other way around. “Thank you for drawing out part of the Sorcerer King’s power. Now we know better than to act recklessly around him,” they should have said while expressing their gratitude. After all, if things had gone poorly, that magic might have been unleashed in a city.
However, the Knight Corps did not see things that way. It was because they felt that Jircniv was a splendid Emperor that they believed he had asked for the use of that magic, knowing full well what it did. Thus, many suspicious gazes now fell upon Jircniv.
This was the first time Jircniv had been so disgusted by his own reputation.
However, crying and complaining would not help things. If someone could do something in his place, Jircniv would gladly cry and scream and rest until his stomach pains went away. Of course, nobody could do Jircniv’s job for him, so he had to handle it himself.
Its hilarious in the book when the slane theocracy shows up the 1st question they ask is why would you ask him to use that spell.
Imo i think that the kiss and hug ainz give to albedo play a big role in why philip is still alive right now 🤣😂🤣

This is a minor detail about the episode that I can point out using anime only info. In this episode the Emperor talks about how scarred the knights were by what they saw in the battle of Katze plain, which is why a lot of them are resigning. This is a minor but important detail showing that Jircniv's hold on the empire is weakening. In season 3 we find out that unlike the soldiers of the kingdom which are mostly conscripted peasantry, the empire's soldiers are trained professionals equipped by the empire.
When comparing the soldiers of the Kingdom to those of the Empire it's a discussion of quantity over quality. A few peasant deserters don't cause much issue for the Kingdom because they are equipped with garbage and are untrained. The Empire meanwhile invests in their armed forces, their training, and their superior gear. When such a soldier resigns, replacing them can take a very long time. When a lot of resignations occur, it may take years for the Empire to replace that lost strength.
Now also consider that Jircniv took radical measures to purge the empire of corruption. Along with his mentor and basically foster grandfather Fluder, he was making massive reforms in the empire backed up by the loyalty of his armed forces. That's why a literal emperor is still handling paperwork instead of a bunch of scholars doing it for him (which also parallels Ainz who is in the exact same situation after taking over E-rantel). At the moment he simply can't delegate that work.
And now, after the Katze plain battle, Jircniv lost a lot of his military backing. As he points out when he is venting to his guards, not only are knights resigning from their posts, scarred mentally by the sight of Ainz's power, Fluder has also defected to the enemy side. Fluder alone could have wiped much of the army of the Kingdom by himself, in addition to being a political advisor to Jircniv. Now the Emperor has neither the wizard's strength nor wit and he just has to work through all these issues alone. Not to mention the additional guilt he carries over asking Ainz to "use his strongest spell" to ascertain his true power. For many, he must seem like he is complicit in the massacre that occurred.
Mind you this is all just anime only info. There's so much honestly crammed into this series that it makes me excited to see you three pick up so much info during your viewings. Your insight and discussions of the the episodes make your reactions to the Overlord series the most enjoyable to watch.

Also guys im not spoiling anything, Imma just say that I think this season will blow your mind, and me personally will enjoy the movie the most :)
I think Ainz knew of the meeting between the king and the slane theocracy and had asked questions about them for just being coy or seeing him squirm. If I'm wrong, then I suspect demiurge may have suggested Ainz to attend there in anticipation of such a meeting. Also, it isn't out of the question to think that Ainz could be a "god descended in every 200 year's".
Plot spoilers: read if you wish
Ainz didn’t know, he was there to recruit adventurers for his new guild, although there’s a good chance that Ainz’ max intelligence passed to his subconscious just like his racial bonuses did, explaining why he makes such good decisions all the time without being aware of it.
As for the gods every 200 years, the gods refer to players. The players have come to the new world before. The 8 Greed kings referenced before were players that appeared 500 years ago but were turned on themselves and eventually destroyed by the 13 great hero’s who were the strongest entities originating from the new world.
Ainz and the level 100 floor guardians are considered gods, since they can use supertier and 10th level magic, which no one else can. It should be noted that there are entities close to Ainz however. PDL’s armour was around level 80-90 and he himself is likely 95ish with unique and powerful wild magic. The godkin such as zeshhi (girl at the start of s2 who was referenced could beat shalteae) is around level 70-85. She would lose to shalltear and any other floor guardian, but is still a credible threat
I'm aware of the gods they're referring to are players; considerating that this is an isekai it'd have to be addressed sooner or later. And I'm inclined to agree that Ainz was unaware and that this could be chalked up as another misunderstanding interpreted as cunning. Even though I care very little for the frequent coincidences, I can understand that a characters stats are important and if he has enough of luck or intelligence it'll become something close to passive skill.
Honestly love pausing in the middle of the episode to talk about all the sauce that just went on. It feels real good seeing some of the discussion after something really big like that, massively enjoyable and y'all took the words right out of my mouth. Shoutouts to Slain Theocracy they're putting in work.

plus it was said in a mix of season 1 and 3 magic users are looked down on as jokes. unless you had access to 7th magic like the old wizard in season 3 or have a talent like ninya or evil eye but magic users are looked down on and most don't know about the 8-10 tier like khajit back in season 1 he thought the skeleton dragons were immune to all magic but there was limit and nabe could cast higher tier magic than its immunity and khajit said "you've reached the power of the gods"/or something like that. then there's I think the super tier magic ainz tried to use to try break shaltears mind control, then the world items.
the kind said to ainz go forth and its show me what you can do. They can't even fathom 8-10 tier magic let alone the super tier and the world level items as frightening as ainz is he's still holding back
the scary thing is he didn't even see the most frightening thing ainz can stop time and unless you know how to counter that you're boned all the preparation means nothing if you don't stop that ability
i do think there's a difference between a good king and a wicked/evil king, a good king wants the power for the people and bring a bright future for his kingdom. The evil/wicked king is one who wants the power not for the benefit of others but for themselves, like orochi from one piece he doesn't care about the people, or like wapol from one piece. or a good parallel is the two kings from black clover, we have the wizard king and the kingdom's king one cares about the people the other only cares about himself

I think whats really flummoxed the Theocracy is they have some sort of insight that lets them know every so often players get isekai'd to their world from Yggdrasil and they prepare for it but instead of a single player or a small group it was essentially an army. So instead of a few players who might have been level 40 or 80 or any random level it was level 100 Ainz with his whole cadre of level 100 floor guardians, all of the Pleiades maids that range from like 50-80ish, all the area guardians on each floor of nazarick of various levels but most over 30, the unknown number of npc undead of various levels many of them over level 30....this just completely went beyond their comprehension because in their world level 30 is hero level. It blows away their worst case scenario and like Lee was saying here at the end of the video they just can't even comprehend the power gap.
About them talking about the 200 year prophecy; basically every 200 years powerful beings seem to appear, i.e. Players
Ainz isn’t the omnipotent god the denizens of Nazarick think him, but he’s more clever than some anime-only watchers give him credit for.
Indeed he was in medium-low tier among lev 100 sorcerers in Yggdrasil (he was quite decent only coz of p2w items), but still he managed to win most of his pvps coz of his strategic mind to outplay oppos. That's why he was at the top of the guild.

(no spoiler-not for you Lee😂) extra info of light novel regarding this episode: players appear every 100 years, 6 great gods appeared 600 years ago and saved humanity from the brink of extinction, then 8 greed kings appeared and slaughtered everybody and then they fought between themselves and died, then there was a minotaur player who helped humans to become slaves rather than food and made refrigerator and lots of other modern tech using magic, another player unfortunately appeared in front of a dragon lord and died, and 2 more players formed the 13 heroes and fought evil gods.
ainz and momon have completely different fighting styles
momon is known for dual wielding ultra great swords and just chucking them around.
ainz in this episode has a staff. during the episode in season 2 where he fights a troll, ainz literally beats him to death with a walking stick. like ainz doesn't even need a fighting style
so unless ainz starts fighting with 2 giant swords no one is going to suspect a thing
Funny thing is we saw the godkin back in season 1 episode 10 at 12:34 and episode 1 of season 2 at 6:12
We've seen them in the Anime but never knew exactly who they were or what rank they have. This season is doing a great job of bring in looked over content that normally gets skipped for time sake.
It was a coincident Ainz was there but Nazarrick still suspects Jircniv to betray them also Ainz watches over him with his mirror. That's why Jircniv feels watched over and Ainz accidentally drives him into madness.

Ainz did know they were meeting and even if he didn't and just showed up there he would've noticed the slane theocracies military uniform because he faught against them in season 1 ep 3 and they were wearing the same uniform.
They were supposed to wear something else, anime just gave them that outfit to make it easy for anime onlies to see it.

With ainz showing up, it was complete coincidence. Ainz went to the empire in secret because he didn't want the emperor making a big deal with his entrance to the kingdom so he went to visit with the adventurers guild in the empire to see about getting adventurers to want to come to his kingdom to become adventurers and ainz would offer up better equipment and access to magics that his kingdom is in possession of. The guild master set up a meeting with the coliseum owner to have him fight to show off what aniz was capable of and win the minds of the people. So when he went to go greet the emperor he was greeting him, because ainz sees him as being one of the only people being an ally to him. So once again ainz looks like a criminal mastermind to the emperor or to demiurge after ainz's actions here will lead to something happening 3 to 4 months sooner than demiurge calculated would happen and demiurge is perplexed as to how lord ainz was able to make it happen so much sooner.
Btw honyoponyoko has a twin sister. Look it up, jk but Ainz did put that plot line in when he talked with the adventurers in season 1 when he was about to confront Shalltear. Though idk if that was on the anime cause it was definitely in the LN

For me, Ainz is not evil, he is purely neutral. The thing is that most of his npc look at humans like trash just because they weren't created by the supreme beings, and that's why he some times does questionable things like going after the lizard people (to strengthen Nazarick's military force with death knights) and kidnapping the citizens from the kingdom in season 2 (Demiurge wanted to use them in his despicable experiments, but because Ainz told him not to make them suffer he actually saved them from the worse Demiurge can do), but he doesn't feel anything form doing these things, he just does whatever it's best for Nazarick.
Demiurge it's a whole different story tho, he actually enjoys doing fucked up shit and he is the source of every bad thing Nazarick has ever done.
