i cannot thank CMH Heli and Ikon pass enough for this incredible experience and a massive, massive thank you to abe kislevitz who invited me to tag along. this was quite literally an experience of a lifetime and something i will never forget! thank you stoke squad for your unrelenting support, positivity and encouragement throughout this journey!
Hey Lucas! I'm a high-level quadriplegic, injured 29 years ago at the age of 19. Prior to my injury I was an avid skier. I recently stumbled across your videos, and watching them puts me right back on the mountain again. Thanks for the experiences!
LOVED the debrief with you and Abe. I see a sponsorship coming in your near future. And that elevator scene is hilarious. Just thinking through the logistics of you setting that up. Drop bags, Open door, set camera, door closes, open door, go out bring in bags door closes. I would have loved to have witnessed that fiasco.
Bro I started watching your videos a few weeks ago and assumed you had hundreds of thousands of subscribers because your videos are so well produced and filmed. Just want to give you props and say keep it up brotha
What a great tip on the rubber bands for the brakes....How did I NEVER think of that!? Thank you Lucas. I hope we get some more skiing with Abe and Heli for sure together! Safe travels!
Watching this channel is quite addicting at times especially when you're jonesing to go skiing again Lucas you crack me up keeping all of our spirits very high can't wait to see more action and the great Ski state of UTAH.....
What an incredible experience! It may not have been perfect but you and Abe did an amazing job of catching the stoke and bringing it back to us. Thanks for all you do to bring us along on the adventure. Stay STOKED!
Stoked u luved Canada amigo. Welcome back anytime. I live in Calgary & travel to SLC every year for 1 week of work so pack my gear to smell the roses while in Utah. My favs are Solitude, Park City, Alta, Brighton - maybe our paths will cross one day. Keep livin' the dream homie.
Totally agree on your "skiing alone" and not having to wait around for others while shooting your videos. The videos of you doing laps alone are the best.
Hey Lucas, I picked up a carry on bag that holds my boots, outerwear, 3 days worth of base layers, underwear, & socks from RMU last season. The bag I picked up from RMU is their "Mountain Briefcase" and it's a great bag in every regard. This allows me to make sure I have my boots & ski clothes no matter if my luggage is lost or delayed, as rental boots & buying ski clothes you don't need, sucks a lot harder than just having to demo skis. This also allows me to not go overweight with my ski bag (even carrying two sets like you have here). I wrap some hoodies around my skis so they don't destroy each other in transit, and then fill out the rest of the ski bag with regular casual clothes I'll need for Après and farting around whenever I'm not skiing. I've really enjoyed this evolution of setting up my ski luggage. On my trip to SLC last season my bag was delayed by 3 days and not having neither my boots nor my skis made me seek out this alternative process. Highly recommend keeping your boots with you as carry on. Maybe I'll see you when you are in my neck of the woods later this season!
Awesome tip on the rubber bands. No idea how I didn't think of doing that. Maybe I missed it but another way to save some space is to stuff socks or gaiters into your boots (might not work for you since you said your boots were still wet).
Ayy I was there the other day! It was my first time there! Lots of intermediate groomers but also some really cool hike-to terrain, double blacks, chutes. Definitely some gnarly stuff that I wasn't expecting. I was impressed! I saw them running Kachina while I was there but not open yet.
I pack kind of like you. All my snow gear in the ski bag including my helmet. It mostly worked great until I went to Aspen while Delta sent our gear to Denver. We found out the plane was too small to carry all the skis, so most were put on another plane. Good news, Delta ended up paying for us to rent gear and buy the rest. Bad news, we wasted 3 hrs getting way overpriced gear at Snowmass. Best news, our gear showed up that night so we could return the Demo stuff. I will say Delta paid for some nice ski clothes.
So random, bro. I just test packed my ski bag today for an upcoming trip. I turn on your channel to see if you had a new video and BAM! I'm only bringing one pair of skiis in a double bag. I'm Gucci. Epic trip though Lucas you continue to make me jealous.
Another great video Lucas. Thanks for the demo on packing the gear. I usually also put my contact info on the inside in case the outer tag gets ripped off. Also lost that GoPro in the elevator haha. Thanks again!
Wonderful trip thanks for taking us along! I enjoy watching your videos even though I don’t ski any more! So thanks for the experience! Hope you and Abe get to do some heli skiing soon! All the best for the rest of the ski season, been awesome so far! No snow in the east from a fellow New Yorker!
Packing a ski bag and actually thinking it is a good idea to bring own equipment is my takeaway from this video. Nice tips there. From the look of it Kickinghorse showed best. Lake Louise looked nice but wind blown and cold - still fun. Revelstoke looks wet at the bottom and another world up top. Nice in a circuit up there to also take in Northern Montana and Idaho but if travelling with someone who consumes medical Cannabis Montana and Idaho sadly get scratched off the list.
Hi Lucas 😀 Everyone is always asking you if you are sponsored by Armada or whoever. I think hooking up with Abe will bring you 100 times more than any sponsorship could give you! Awesome trip… thanks for sharing your packing scheme, you gave me a good idea before I go to Switzerland on the 28th. Awesome times await you… Fernie, Whistler, Red Mountain, Sun Peaks, Sunshine Village and returning to Revelstoke and Kicking Horse… “Stoked” doesn’t even describe what you are about to experience 😀⛷
They do tend to check groups. But if you go toward the end of the previous group boarding, they don't really care. They will really get pissed if you are in the last group that isn't allowed to bring a carry on and you try to sneak in on the previous group
Hey Lucas, have you considered getting a boot dryer. I used to just put away my boots wet until they got a bad case of mildew from all that residual sweat - - sweat and mildew - - not a good combo. The boot dryer I found was very light and fit right inside the boots when I wasn’t using it during travel, my Boots were always dry and mildew free after that.
@@LucasCatania17 I get it. The one that I have is pretty old and doesn’t have a heating element. It just blows air so it really doesn’t draw that much power but you know your van better than anybody else. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.
"its my little hack" - one flight, long time ago, my friend grabbed my infant daughter and boarded when people with small children can board, real early, then when my wife and I boarded he gladly gave our daughter back to us -now that is a hack

Great packing tips, never tried the brake before and it does harm the bags. Thanks Lucas
for sure man!
I know it is hard to film with a crew, but it was awesome watching you rip with friends. It got me excited to ski this weekend with the homies.
i agree. my best videos to date i feel like because of the crew.
Lucas reunited with Luna all is right with the world again!
amen!!
If you come back you gotta check out sunshine. My favourite resort to go to. Spring skiing is 🔥 there.
ill be back next month!
Louis - Taos Ski Valley now has a 60 inch base - the minimum to satisfy me. Soon the Kachina Chair will open - elevation 12,481 feet. Time to ski.

Great video! Just a quick packing tip. In order to hold the breaks up, you just need to press down the binding. Like your boot is on it :)

If you have a long overweight bag it gets checked by customs more frequently, and therefore won't get lost as often.
oo good point
