    DPF is one of the most stupidest unnecessary pieces of nonsense put on new cars. Wasting more fuel to clean up the exhaust.

      I fully agree ray, absolute nonsense mate. At least we didnt have to pay for another one to be fitted lol.

    the process for the dpf filter is done through opcom. I'm interested in Opel Corsa D a13dte; Thank you

    is it normal when that happens to have a burning rubber smell? i think i interupted a regen as when i popped the hood it was extremely hot and some black smoke came out but i also could smell burning rubber. checked the belts and stuff and nothing shows wear

    in new cars with tdi engine regeneration of the dpf filter takes place every 200miles ride around the city. ;) all ecology. thanks greta ..

      I own a 2015 passat 2.0tdi. It regens every 300-400km, despite using the car mainly outside the city.

      @@-xYz--nk1gm A few weeks ago I drove on the highway for 400 kilometers. I had the menu of the start/stop open, it shows when its regenerating the DPF. I got the message twice, the beginning of the trip and after 320km once again.
      How many kilometers does your Superb have? My Passat is at 123.000 kilometers, but it has been doing this since I bought it at 103.000km.
      I cant really blame the tuning either since it has been regenerating on the same amount of kilometers before it got tuned.
      I could blame the fuel tho. I put normal diesel of Shell or BP in the fuel tank, I'm going to try BP Ultimate Diesel next time to see if it makes any difference in performance and amount of kilometers till next regeneration. I got told by friends who have experience that it does make a difference.
      Im assuming I need a bluetooth dongle for that app right?

      @@-xYz--nk1gm Do you like literaly mean in the city where you drive max 50? Or do you also drive it outside the city at speeds of 80 90 100km/h.
      I havent had any issues with the dpf either despite having the engine tuned @200+hp & 450nm+ torque.
      97% is about 22 grams of soot, right?
      Alright thanks for the advice. Ill watch your video in a bit.

      @ThenameisOskar 3 роки тому

      @@-xYz--nk1gm Oh I see. If im correct you are Polish right?
      Ye I knew about it being between 5 and 22 gram soot before regenerating, guess I was one gram off. Have you ever had the DPF light coming on? Im guessing that happens at 25 gram when its too full.
      What is wrong with your DSG gearbox? Have you tried getting the DSG remapped? With VCDS or OBDeleven you can also change the throttle response, have you tried that yet?
      I do agree that an automatic with torque convertor is a better gearbox, especialy the ZF gearbox.
      I havent experienced such stuff but thats probaly due to my Passat B8 having a manual gearbox. Taking off too quick results into alot of wheelspin though. 😂

    Is forced DPF regeneration harmful for diesel engine as engine is run at 2500 rpm for half hour ?

    • @high1voltage1rules
      @high1voltage1rules  4 роки тому +5

      No mate, as the engine is run at this when you drive the car anyway, its perfectly safe buddy, as long as theres coolent and oil 👍

    • @owenthomas3
      @owenthomas3 4 роки тому

      Indian Only no of course not letting it warm up in the cold is better than getting in the car and just driving it normal when it’s cold

    • @deiu9999
      @deiu9999 3 роки тому +1

      Forced regeneration while the car is stationary can be very harmful because the engine will get extremely hot because you have no fresh high speed cold air flow that you normally have when your car is running.

    I'm looking for some diagnostic equipment that will enable a forced DPF regeneration on a 1.3 Meriva B (Engine A13DTC). Can you recommend one? - Found a few devices but none seem to offer it for this model. Thanks in advance.

    • @high1voltage1rules
      @high1voltage1rules  3 роки тому

      Hey buddy, if your from the uk there’s some places that can help you with the right equipment, my friend who does it a lot got his equipment at halfords and they sold him a great setup able to help him out for the issue and any other problems he will get with his car in the future.
      If your not in the UK then I’d suggest going to your local car parts shop and asking them for advice. Some can be expensive mate but you buy what you get! Cheap is shite! Expensive it does the job!
      But you have to look at what’s going to be realistic! If it’s cheaper to go to your local garage to get your car fixed! Or if you have any knowledge to pay for the device and able to do the work yourself.
      I hope Iv helped you in making the right decision as I’m trying to help you not waste your money my friend. And help you in the long run 👍😉
      Be safe and I wish you all the luck my friend.

    I know a fella in Oz that makes a device that tells the computer to circumvent the EGR on new diesels cos that crap destroys the engine. He used to work for VW many years ago. I have one on mine tricking the air fuel ratio and getting my vehicle back to standard emissions and fuel economy. Mine is petrol, so it's only using the fuel adjust function. The other wire is just loose.

      Empty the oil pan. Check compression/piston rings and clean your dpf thoroughly. If the dpf is too clogged and fuel finds itself in the oil pan then the engine can potentially runaway and this can be dangerous and expensive
