I just nabbed MHR in a holiday sale 2 weeks ago and have been having a blast. I was nervous about multiplayer, but was STRUGGLING in a hub quest, so I got over myself and reached out for help and it was wonderful. Thankful for the "elders" who still come through and help out (and setup group selfies, lol).
For anyone wanting to use a wide range build on Fatalis. If you see someone animation locked inside the downwards breath attack, the only consistent way to save them is with great sushifish scales. Even if you have speed eating, potions have the normal speed on the receiver (visible at 2:22 where the korean guy is about to eat a pill type consumable, but roll cancels it. Most likely a max potion that he mid animation realised he didnt need) unless they themselves have speed eating (16:51 we can see mudandgrass receive the faster healing just before he swallows a max potion. We can confirm he has speed eating as we can see he clearly speed drinks a potion at 18:58), but sushifish healing is immediate. Its also a bigger heal in the first place, 100 instead of 70 from a mega potion. Granted, great sushifish scales are annoying to grind, but it works.
Idk if he is a show off or just trying out his new guard sns build coz he had lots of mistakes. Then trying to limit test the guard on the nova breath. Prolly look badass though tanking all that flame.
Had no idea other people were doing this too. Ive beaten almost all the monsters (except Fatalis and Ruiner Nerg.) and ive just been helping others with my Savage Jho HH. Im a SwitchAxe main lol, nice video man! Great to see others looking out for the little guys
you can tank fatalis flying breath with 2 ways 1.max potion when in fire, the moment fire dps you think get slower eat max potion but you need health boost lvl3 and 0 fire resist (i try with velkhana armor [-15 fire] and still have about 5 to 10 percent hp) 2.spam superman dive same with max potion way you need lvl3 health boost in the end tank the fatalis flying breath was good for GS tcs, SNS (perfect rush set up), and LS in red gauge for helm breaker
what papercuts did is very common rn (i do it all the time too) during the 3rd/4th/5th flame, you can tank it with max fatalis armor. just make sure to bite down a max potion to get back to full health at the correct time. tho, idk if head break matters, i usually feel safer doing it after the second head break. you then just drop a smoke bomb afterwards to get a free few seconds of opening
I honestly prefer SnS for support using item based support. Speed Eating + Free Meal Secret + Wide Range 5 = Constant Mega Demon Drug buffs + Mega Armorskin + Mega Nutrients + Astera Jerky + Mega Dash Juice = Everybody is suddenly a super soldier and they can out heal almost any damage Fatty can deal out
@Roobere207 Yeah, idk what caused this video to explode like this lol. I just wanted to see what playing with randoms is like lol. I might have to do another one with Alatreon but I'm kinda scared how that will go.

@bulletknights Stay close. Velkhana loves to try to put distance on you and zone you out. Also and this one is the most important........DO NOT randomly clutch on to flinch shot and or tenderize, even with Temporal mantle. Wait for a good opening.
Is there a reason to not use fatalis armor for a build, other then u dont have the armor/cant kill fatalis or u dont have decos for the build u want to do ?
@naioziren6831 Some weapons might benefit more from Velkhana gamma, I just don't usually use Fatalis armor so people watching know that it's not a necessity to have that armor to be good at the game. Or to have a min max build to beat all of the endgame iceborne content.
what kind of build does PaperCuts have to TANK FATALIS' ULTIMATE ATTACK!? *TWICE!* because that's, to quote the Huntsman, "impressive". (i guess i was lucky enough to be Like Number 69)
Actually it is not that hard to do. There is one big tick of damage that you need to have full health and after that you dont take any more damage. Fully uppgraded armor is all you need.
@@jacktheomnithere2127 Well you can see it in the video too being done. Also there is plenty of videos that explain how to do it. Its often used to save time and being able to setup smokes where Fatalis will land so that you can get free hits in. And yes it is really simple like many of the elements in Fatalis.
If head is 1 part broken rocksteady and 30fire resi will eat it. If fully head broken just 30 fire resi This is fairly easy with a fire resi jewel for all 3 fire resi And a elem resi L from food
So, seeing as you have wider-range on your set. I've always wondered, why is this attritubed towards Hunting Horn Users, who have a decently lengthy weapon sheathing process? Why is this expected on the weapon that wants to keep dooting? It just feels like its, oh this weapon can buff, they should also heal us. But like, sword and shield does that a million times better and faster.
@Sixx0Two I'd assume it's because Hunting Horn is labeled as the support weapon. So some people only know it for buffing other and relegate it to also healing others.
