- John Mayer plays In Your Atmosphere at The Wiltern theater in Los Angeles, CA
John plays this lovely piece and trips up a bit on the closing section! The crowd jumps in and helps out, bringing this performance to a beautiful conclusion.
What an amazing musician. I’ve wandered various paths with him and away from him, but I always find my way back with deep appreciation for the meaning his music has held throughout my life, from a young college guy to a middle-aged man.
Welcome home buddy.
❤❤❤🥲
The whole crowd remembering the WTLI outro version, and just spontaneously singing that part for him... John not recognizing it and genuinely getting caught off guard... What an absolute gem of a live moment! Thank you for capturing it in such high quality, this is really special.
i think he didnt realize that part is from wtli. He was like what is that.
The what?
That was my favourite part. Has got to be really special for an artist to see this kind love that people have for his work. This whole song is so damn beautiful, I hope I get to witness this live at least once in my life!
WTLI = "where the light is" referring to his DVD of a live show he did in la@@cpesq.5884
20,000 people who have where the light is memorized
that was unexpectedly wholesome
His high pitched " what is that? Thats amazing " ❤
Damn, those are some real fans in that audience.
Not me crying my eyes out first thing in the morning because of how wholesome this is🥺
It really was beautiful. John got to see a Dad in his 50's cry right in front of his own Daughter. (Probably not the first time!)
Almost forgot to watch this today
omg the end to this was one of the most beautiful things ive ever seen or heard
It was absolute magic. These are the moments that we go to these shows for. This will never happen again.
I love how you can hear me clear as day shout "OUTRO" as soon as he finished. And you can hear me screaming the lyrics and encouragements at him. I must have been like 3 people to your right (blonde lady front and center on the rail). So cool!!!
I must have watched dozens upon dozens of videos of this song live. All the way back to when I first heard it in 2004. I can honestly say, this was the best/most wholesome one I've ever seen.
It was a beautiful performance.
This song (live) makes me so happy. Almost like if he broke out “comfortable”
Its crazy there are so many fans that remember the outro from 20 year old live recording and JM's like "what is that?" lol.
Wow! What an Atmosphere
I love live renditions ofJohn Mayer doing this tune. Looks like a great show with lots of mutual fan love. Love it. Love him
All time favorite song of JM. This was very beautiful!! 🥺 wish i get to see this performance live!
That has to be an amazing feeling, as an artist, listening to the crowd singing your song back to you
Will always be a favorite
I am firmly convinced that the outro to IYA is the best 30 seconds of any song ever
What john has achieved as an artist is something very few other people ever will, the people who love him really love him like he's one of they're own. Amazing god bless johnny
This might be my favorite video on the internet. Thank you so much for sharing it. ❤
as soon as he started singing the outro tears were cried
I’ve seen him four times now? He always talks about some of his songs were purged from memory for his new stuff so this is totally true
He played half of comfortable and stopped cause he had forgotten the rest. I wish I had a sign that said “I can play your whole catalogue!” Haha. This was cool. He genuinely forgot about it - which is so ingrained in many of our stories.
Living legend
that final was really emotional!
Oh those vocals at 5:32 were fun!
Favorite JM song
JM gets all the love for his electric playing, but I find his acoustic playing more interesting, original, and awe-inspiring.
찬영이 라방보고 찾아보다 여기까지 옴,, 언젠가 찬영이가 존메이어 직접 만나는 날이 오길🙏
Can't wait seeing him in Philadelphia...2 weeks!!!❤
❤❤❤
I'm so glad I found this video! Thanks for uploading this, such a unique reaction by John, love it
I love you baby❤️
great video man
Thanks for posting! John doesn't do this one much and it's soooo good!
Bless you for posting this. Thank you.
I don’t think he is gonna go to LA anymore
He gets lost on the boulevard at night.
Without her voice to tell him, "I love you, take a right."
The whole thing ripped!! Minimal people...just JM at his best.
He just made up the chords on the spot in the last part but it was still amazing
Shoutout to the cameraperson
What does he say when he realizes the crowd is singing?? I can't quite understand.
Your recordings are always the best. Did you happen to have Slow Dancing or Free Fallin' recorded?
Posting Slow Dancing today. (I didn't get Free Falling, but I WANTED it!!!)
"i don't think i'm gonna go to LA anymore" : live in LA
ele literalmente não lembra da linha harmonica que ele mesmo fez nesse "uhh uhh" no final, naquele show Live in L.A kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Anyone know what he said when he first noticed the crowd singing?
"Come on, this is nuts!!" (Maybe not?)
I was hearing "Come on space dust!" but could be completely wrong.
I feel like @3:17 he got a voice crack and quickly improvised it 😂
🥹🥹🥹♥️♥️♥️
The crowd butchered the "woooo."😂
Promo sm 🤷
john’s jacob collier moment
Wow, so glad you were able to attend! Thank you for posting one of my favorite JM songs! It was incredibly touching that our JMFam helped out, but not unexpected! ❤I've got a version of it in Camden, NJ from 2019 on my other Linda Madeline @musicandartsconnection yt which has been reinstated after the takedown. I'm concerned about the upcoming 10/7 Philly show, jsyk. I'd love to upload, but not ready to go through the trauma of having my yt channel taken down again. Fifteen years of shows is way too much content to lose. I'm just so thankful that it's back up and running again.
Nothing tops the Kodak Theatre performance.
This was hmmmm…. 😑
