G-Lapras is a better option than D-Cryogonal. They both have low attack stats but even though Cryogonal's attack, 190 is higher than Lapras 165, if you are levelling up max moves, the Gigantamax wins. Gigantamax moves: Level1:350 Level2:400 Level3:450 Dynamax moves L1:250 L2:300 L3:350. So effectively, a Level 1 Gigantamax move does as much as a Level 3 (fully maxxed) Dynamax move.

Tbh bro it’s much easier just levelling 1 or two excadrill, mud shot and the rock special (important) to fast charge dynamax meter given zapdos weakness. Then swap out to articuno or Lapras (like you did) with damage maxed. 3 ppl with this excadrill set up your meter will charge before zapdos attacks
@mattsimplified-pokemon-go I seen that even in a few of our battles we did, we have another meet-up tomorrow to do 5 and we're all trying 1exca,1lapras and 1greedent for sh!ts and giggles
I tried one but it was just 2 of us so we didn’t get to do it. Zapdos was always my favorite of the 3 so I’m hoping to get a dynamax. No luck with the articuno since I never got more than 1 other person. I need more dynamax excadrill, they seem extremely helpful towards the Zapdos!
These are so fun to do I wish more people were able to do them! Even limiting remote invites to two people might be a good step in the right direction. What do you think they could do to help more remote players stand a chance?
idk, I found Articuno way easier than Zapdos (where I didn't even bother shielding/healing at times), but I also don't have any G-Max pokemon. As for Zapdos, I was kinda shocked by how hard his electric moves hit, even on a lv50 Excadrill (at least before shielding)
You should have used Excadrill with charge attack 'rock slide' and steel type fast attack. That charges faster and Rock slide does more damage. If rock slide is not there, dont use the charge attack at all as it only slows down.
Just was spamming it full so didn’t bother to optimise - it was way too easy as it was 😂 I reckon if we struggled I’d probably tighten the moveset up more
@ we did 17 in one hour yesterday. Most of us user toxi as tank and gigantamax gengar or lapras to deal damage When 2 persons in team had mushroom only one dynamax stage was needed to finish full zapdos so yea much easier then articuno

This is great to know man - gonna try this with a few extra on the pokemon go zapdos shiny hunt this week before Gigantamax kingler!
The damage that shows on your screen is combined damage not just your own, when your the last one left you will notice the difference
Yeah, totally get that - but that’s how much we were doing - huge compared to Articuno which seemed puny. All the Lapras were slaying 😂

I had the exact same experience with how hard Zapdos hit my Excadrill. Wild!

You shouldn’t use your charged moves as it’s better just using your fast move as it changes your max meter
