The question about the other animals’ responses was a good one. I saw dogs who had never been in the wild sniff some clothing that had come into contact with lions, once. Those dogs were out of there with the quickness. Even if the animals don’t know, they probably still know, y’know?
those actually were some really good questions. i know Maya is hand picking them from what she sees in chat, but sometimes chat can be a little insensitive and ask unnecesary questions when these kinds of Q&A streams are happening. so good job chat! yall did some nice question asking

Every time I watch a vod/stream I always think "man alveus deserve more recognition" you can tell how much passion Maya has by how above and beyond her and the crew go
Excellent choice with Axis cameras. I've been installing security and camera systems for nearly 20 years and they are by far some of the best in the industry.
Absolutely loving how much the community is growing and actively engaging about learning more about Alveus.

you are such an amazing person who is doing such amazing things. i’ve loved animals since i was a kid and you make people like me realize that jobs in the animal field is feasible and changes for animal welfare are possible
same! as a kid i said my job was gonna be an animal rescuer (granted to my lil kid mind, that meant owning a bunch of animals as pets 😂) but now as an adult in college, im realizing i dont have to do a more traditional occupation and can 100% go down this route, and im very excited to :)

This is so awesome! And what a beautiful enclosure, love the pond! I've visited the Wolf Dog sanctuary where I live and it was an incredible experience, they are wonderful animals. So thank you for doing this project at Alveus and taking on some animals that needed a home

Unfortunately I'm primarily a UA-cam watcher, due to my odd schedule. But I have been a Jenna Marbles fan for many many years, and vividly remember when she and Julien started showing up on videos together (I still to this day quote Jenna's "Photobooth challenge" video w/ Julien). I also have never been a huge stream watcher, but kinda knew who Miz was when you came along. All of this is just a convoluted way of saying, I am so fuckin' happy too see these two worlds collide. I like too fantasize about Jenna coming back, but maybe as like, a collaborator with Alveus or something, lol. Saving the animals and having Jenna Marbles back. That's how you solve world conflicts 😅

I'm glad J&J made a donation for Stompy's splash pad! I enjoyed Julien's visit / collab video the most. He was so sweet and genuinely interested. That's how I found this channel - plus the randomly recommended tiny house tour 😅. I've since watched a couple more of the streamer collabs, but I have to say Julien's was the best (to me, but maybe I'm biased 😄)

you need a drone with a pooper scooper attachment, to fly around and pick up poop, way easier than using the switching pen every day, and more fun.
I don't think that will go well with the wolves. So the switch pen is pretty much still a necessity
My fiancee an I would love to help with crating/ retiring an/opening environment for any individual but reach out to me separately because my fiancee and I are looking very closely into lookiing at what we can do with our available outreach for each animal

There are ways to do it
Even while in college you can enroll to a second school to cut between pre reqs and highschoolers if they know about what they want to do they can get college creds
Not to mention, that in America, a non-profit and private land already grants you a number of privledges
@@thatonellamawhoissoobsesse8138 She started the sanctuary several years ago, which means a 22-23 yo acquired enough training and permits to house dozens of species her own sprawl of land where she also lives. I'd be impressed if she were 25 getting hired as an entry level keeper at a zoo or extant sanctuary; but learning enough and paying out enough to found and operate - with employees - a legitimate animal sanctuary? Impressed doesn't cover it. I'm incredulous frankly...

She had a following online before this was a thing. I assume there's either family wealth or outside donations to get it off the ground. Isn't a bad model tbh. No visitors to stress the animals and a source of revenue to keep the place going. A lot of sanctuaries struggle with funding.
I have a third gen wolf dog hybrid, roughly 20% gray wolf content. Such a huge sweetheart but always skiddish around people the first time meeting them.

There's a Y. Tuber who just acquired a wolf-hybrid pup from a breeder in Tennesse .It's 3months old and claims it is 39% wolf . Hannah Barron ( catfish noodler on Y.T. ) I'm hoping that there's a small number of people breedin' these animals...just sayin'...

I know I shouldn’t be, but I’m scared that Maya and the team will walk in the enclosure thinking the wolves are friendly… and them being spooked and attack.

Why would she commit to accepting them with such little information. That seems insanely bad legally speaking.
They was confiscated by the authorities, due to the other place failing an inspection. If they didn't take them they would very likely be put down.
Kind of interesting, but sad that there is so little information about the wolves. I always thought the animals at Alveus had some backstory, which made it more interesting to learn about the animals, conditions, abuse, etc. In this case, it seems they just got them, and that's it. Hopefully, it's not from a breeding place or so where they sell wolves and pretend that they are reduced animals or so.
It was another facility probably a zoo or even a sanctuary, they weren't giving the wolves any space or proper care. Also Maya said the old place was violating regulations 🥲
They're not wolves. They're the result of breeding dogs with wolves.
As the other commenter said it was a neglect case, thats why they wanted to rush
it's not lol the old place couldn't support them animals anymore, the wolves are already 10 years old
You really think Maya would adopt wolf dogs from breeders? You must be new. The department of agriculture seized them from their previous owners that were neglecting them.
