You mentioned how BTS acknowledged what they achieved but never fully. That is because they are one of the rare artists who understand not only can one always improve but that they have a wonderful support system filled with staff and the Army. A lot of successful people forget their journey to the top, which was aided by many people. And they constantly remind themselves of that. That mindset is unique, especially among celebrities.
While I agree that we never see the process of creation from start to finish, I do find BTS is one of the bands that has shown it the most. From Namjoon almost always coming live to comment on his lyrics, to frequent discussions during their shows and bombs, to our following the decision process during the Be album, to their book and music recommendations allowing us to understand their thoughts process, to the 2023 documentaries about Face, DDay and JITB, we've been shown a lot. That is quite unique, isn't it?
I've always thought that art is not complete until it reaches an audience. A lot of people disregard the importance of the audience in the process, but no BTS. What they have wrought with ARMY is truly remarkable, imo. I think it's reached the level of cultural zeitgeist.
Indeed! 2025 will be an explosion that the music wprld has not seen yet. BTS is already a legend but that won't stop them to create and compete with themselves. The inspiration everyone needs and leadership that is lacking in many lives, young lives critical to our survival as a specie. It may seem superficial but when the ball starts rolling, you know what happens.....
I want to add to your comment, it was their talent, skill, and personality on stage. You feel like you're watching your family especially the clip your showed with JK and V teasing each other while singing 😁
i love to acknowledge the fact that yes, a bts concert is not only about them, but it's about army too, and for army. it says that army is alongside them, whatever they do, however they do it. i don't know any other artist who had done that; you can see their ego while they're onstage. it's the audience's privilege to be able to witness what that artist unveils on stage. but with bts, everything feels like it's always a gift for us. that they do everything not only for their own growth and artistry, but for army as well.
You are so correct. The sense of never enough time to celebrate and really absorbed the magnitude of their achievements as they are constantly asked “yes but” can you go higher. Is this a function of the kpop pace that RM has talked about? That Suga said mentioned as being ready to leave behind with his 20s? As Jimin alluded to when he mention a frame of mind which allow for one to risk one’s life to achieve something? Equating achievements with self worth? Or is it because they have been the first, again and again, over and over? AND Because they are minorities in this story? Thank you as always for your discussion ❤
Great question about "getting to that moment" - I think a lot of people quit before getting there & that quitting becomes a habit so they spend their lives unfulfilled always looking. To answer your question - yes, I got there. I'm not a global star or even famous. I'm an Operations Manager & I'm very good at it. I ended up being in charge wherever I worked. Turns out my skill is juggling the chaos of people, events, materials, and business goals to achieve an outcome. It's a gift based on how few are good at it, & how many I've trained to be functional in a similar role. By my third job & getting promoted to run the show I saw the pattern & the pieces fell together. Now some 30 years later still doing the job & enjoying the challenges. Part of why I enjoy the BTS story so much is because for the past several years I've watched them labor, sacrifice, and do the impossible. It's an amazing story, with great music, and fantastic performances. The boys deserve their success.
I always love your videos about BTS! I’m driving, so I don’t really have anything else to say right now, but I love listening to your insight about anything that comes out!

It amazes me that BTS members though in such young age withhold great maturity and wisdom. I am in my 50’s and have learnt so much from them.
