It’s several murders. In the side novel in danganropa Togami ,and the audio vn Novel Kirigiritso talk about how Hope’s Peak other research had lead to kill more people. Both of these we did not get a localization for so you need to find the fan translation video of both on UA-cam. Though Danganronpa Togami is a trip to solve so the truth in part isn’t gonna reveal itself until the end and Kirigiriso has multiple endings but one cannon ending. The Steering Committee can’t be trusted.

I’m happy that I wasn’t the only person who found the game as scary and unsettling. This was based on a real game which also Spike Chunsoft released, and the original game called Twilight Syndrome is way more scarier.

Sato is the killer btw in case if anyone's still confused. She killed natsumi since the victim revealed her plan of wanting to remove mahiru from the main student course in front of sato, mahiru and even hajime. However, fuyuhiko found all of this out and thus got sato killed.
Personally, this was the most interesting part of the game. Considering this had the most lore to the anime, pictures that were taken when their memories were wiped, and the Inclusion of 2 Characters that were from the anime. Literally a work of art.
7:49 This sentence is actually really misleading, and very much on purpose. The gravel is on the floor because it came loose from the stuffed swimsuit after Sato smashed it over the girl’s head. They mention the fish tank being tipped over to mislead you and make you think it was a pervert (until that itself gets contradicted later with the *picture of the broken vase* proving that the crime happened before the 4 girls arrived at school). It’s probably the only clue you’re given that gravel was used to kill Natsumi.

That gets easily heavier than you think. On top of the strangulation attempt, the other Girl died to a blunt attack on the head. To cover their tracks they not only stole the keys to the music room to lock it but planted evidence of a break in .

The fact that some of the characters experienced murder BEFORE The Tragedy even happened is another very disturbing part for me. And then it gets completely swept under the rug. At least Natsumi gets some sort of justice in the trial though.

(MAJOR SPOILERS FOR DANGANRONPA 2 ENDING) The fact that this occurred before any tragedy really goes to show just how awful hopes peak is. It’s been proven time and time again that it thinks of the students as symbols of hope for the world rather than individual people that aren’t some tool. Honestly, it seems hopes peak doesn’t care what happens to the kids as long as they bring hope. It’s no wonder the class became remnants of despair. The school is a mess!
But Sato and Natsumi weren't Ultimates; they were part of the Reserve Course like Hajime. Besides, when Natsumi's body was found by school staff, the police were called right away.

I cant wrap my head around why they included that disturbing photo of the dead girl. I’m aware that the blood is edited in, but it was a real.. girl… it freaked me out so bad when I first played this, It felt more like something that would be in a game like DDLC.

The fact that this occurred before any tragedy really goes to show just how awful hopes peak is. It’s been proven time and time again that it thinks of the students as symbols of hope for the world rather than individual people that aren’t some tool. Honestly, it seems hopes peak doesn’t care what happens to the kids as long as they bring hope. It’s no wonder the class became remnants of despair. The school is a mess!
But Sato and Natsumi weren't Ultimates; they were part of the Reserve Course like Hajime. Besides, when Natsumi's body was found by school staff, the police were called right away.

impossible. the vase was broken while the group of girls was in the building. this hides the fact that the murder actually happened some time ago. so the window and fish tank were broken during a time when no one was around. @Frinsky
its a point that doesnt clearly get brought up. one big logical hint that the gravel and swimsuit are used is the fact that girl e reported her swimsuit was stolen, making investigators think it was some pervert. but we know that girl e killed her. so there would be no reason for her swimsuit to be stolen if she's the culprit. which means she had to get rid of the swimsuit. so the swimsuit must have been used during the murder.
