Thanks. I try to keep it fun rather then it be frustrating. Everyone comes to fish, not to be all tangled up. You know what I mean. Thanks for watching and giving me feedback. It’s greatly appreciated! 🎣
SurfRAt 4Life There are two types out here. Lake strippers and ocean. The ocean ones here in SoCal are so rare, I haven’t seen one caught in about 15 years. Biggest I seen was about 30lbs surf fishing using a fish rod.
Nah, it’s the larger one 228 SSK. Although I do use the 190 fast sk sometimes. It varies depending on the size of the bait that’s in the water at the time. I appreciate the feed back and thanks for watching
I actually have a few different setups. But I always have two with me. One for jigging only and the other one for everything else. The setup I used in the video was Shimano Tiralejo 10’ MH. Equipped with a Shimano Ultegra 5500 Ci4+ with 40lb 300 yards.
I’m be completely honest with you. I can’t just give you a spots. Certain location vary and nothing guaranteed. Your best bet would be to bring a bike and try to cover as much ground as possible. Fishing structure with very deep off should help you find them. Good luck Saturday man 🎣
luis nogueras Yeah, being on foot is hard man. I remember my first time there I was on foot. I got lucky and happened to be at the right place at the right time. I literally walked right into blitz. I didn’t have all the lure and etc i have now. So snagging and live lining was my best friend
Yeah man I'm at the beginning of all this right now I have a few lures and on foot...but I dont give up! I talk to people but like they dont like telling me nothing or no invites. But ima get my first one one day lol
Yeah. Even though it’s all over social media, people are still secretive about things and I completely understand why. Some are locals and they’ve invested too much time in learning spots and techniques just to pass it along to just anyone. So the best way to learn and find out is trial and error. Watching videos can help as well but, getting out there and fish it as much as possible is way better. You’ll start picking up on things pretty quickly. I’m by no means an expert but that’s what I’ve learned from my experience.
Good fishing, good manners, good ethics a caring fisherman. Bravo!

Looks super fun! Nothing like that from land here in the west coast.
I got a buddy out there on the west coast that fishes for them. He told me it’s very challenging to get them and big ones are few and far in between
