Now is the time that Riske comedy is needed. You were talking the piss out of lad culture. You should continue with what you were doing. You have fans, you were never cancelled by your fans. You were cancelled by people who never even watched your vines.
My journey is so similar I went 6 months off the beak carried on drinking due to ego "I can still have a few" and "I don't want to miss out" the wheels came off relapsed heavy grand a week only thing that got in the way was work anyway 18 months clean now once I decided giving up booze would set me free it changed my life! 💙
This episode pointed out what a class act James is. He's silently been there for dapper without taking any credit for it jus understanding he needed someone. Respect james
@@JamesEnglish Fellas need blokes like you and Dapper talking about this stuff. Really helped me look at myself and get back on track. Full respect keep it up 🔥👍🏻👌🏻
I totally relate to this. I'm seven years sober, but it took me to pick up a drink after three years to realise that I can never drink again. I use that experience to remind myself what would happen if I were to drink again.
Im the same age as Dapper and have been through a very similar journey to sobriety. I’m almost two years clean and sober and life is so much better now. I was in a terrible place and genuinely thought I wouldn’t be here now if I didn’t stop. If you’re reading this and thinking about getting sober, just know nothing is beyond fixing. Life can be so much better. Get the help, talk to your mates and just stay focused. This was an excellent episode . Great to hear someone relatable talking about something most won’t with such honesty and vulnerability. Big love to you both ❤
I've been sober for almost 3 years. I miss the crazy times but I've had to admit that I cannot control it ! So I had no choice. Plus I want to remember the 2nd part of my life ! Lol (im 46) Keep it up lads. You both have the world at your feet. You would be fools to f it up ! ❤
Genuinely hope dapper sees this - The guy changed my life with his motivational videos and message. And i listened! I started looking after myself a lot more start of new year. Ive lost 15 kilos( still long way to go ) ive got a job that im really happy with, and im so much more confident and healthier. Thank you for opening my eyes, i now see i needed a kick up the arse seeing how lazy and overweight i was🙏🏻 i can still enjoy a beer with my mates, and I’m much happier going out, been a big follower of him for ages. Hope i can get to one of his comedy shows when hes on tour.
Get your out there for the men who’re struggling, but my friend and I have really resonated with this podcast… all your sobriety podcasts JE… first time I’ve come across DL… what an inspiration! Thanks for getting this message out and giving us the courage! X
This deserves 6 million views we can all relate to this .Drink, drugs, cars, watch’s are all part of of the problem this has helped me so me much. Can’t thank you boys enough
Brilliant informative, supportive, natural free flowing chat between two mates that will hopefully help those needing guidance and advice and even those that don't!
James this a banger. So much respect for Dapper. He is A proper bloke. Brave and the perfect example of intelligence and humilty. Keep doing what you're doing man 💪🏻 Big up 👊🏾
More and more men who suffer from mental health issues or addiction issues need to watch to videos like this to make themselves realise they are not alone, this podcast is like a therapy session plus I love how these two are highlighting the biggest issues in the world right now and making more and more people aware of how vulnerable kids are nowadays, James and Daniel you should be officially named as mental health ambassadors
Quality lads, myself and many others can definitely relate. Having a family definitely changed my outlook in life and gave me direction. Keep smashing it lads, for you're wife and kids to say they are proud of you is a better high than any drug fact. Mad how when off the beer and drugs you start to appreciate the little things in life which years ago you would of found boring. Could listen to you both all day,so relatable!
Absolute breath of fresh realist truth, be who you are (or who you pretend to be) but keep it all personal & away from children... not enough Men & Women are speaking out on the madness & that's exactly how madness takes hold.
Love you two together 💚down to earth blokes, great chat and keeping it real as always. Good to hear you diving down the rabbit hole James 😇 we are living in a satanic shit show right now and it’s great to hear you speaking out on this nonsense 💚
The madness is I know once I give up I can never drink/sniff again so I keep putting it off and telling myself I'll do it one day....I think that one day is coming very soon 💯
Cheers lads for talking about your addictions I've had warnings and signs and hurt ppl I love and care for. I'm going use your story's for inspiration and realised it's better to talk about it rather than being ashamed peace and love ❤
This is one of my favourite episodes james, keep smashing it mate 💙 I go through this stuff myself. but i choose to keep it to myself and not really tell anyone anything anymore, as i got tired of hearing the phrase ''man up'' which i don't even understand what that means anymore, people still seem to live in the stone age.
James, I’ve watched every single one of your podcasts but this for me was the absolute best 😍 can’t wait for you to go on Daniel’s podcast, well done darlings xx
LOVED THE PODCAST MATE My opinion from a 34 year old Aussie, who has over come cocaine and alcohol addiction. People , young men these days have no respect. Back in the day if you had something told to you by someone older even if it was over a beer you listened. And if it was something important you acted on it out of respect. This generation in my opinion is given too many easy options, no young man wants to not only learn a craft but take pride in it and be respected in it. To many options to take the easy way out. Keep up the good work. Big fan of the podcast
Iv managed to be able to change from alki to “normal” drinker, 2-3 pints and go home easily now. 1 macro dose of mushrooms 1-2 months has sorted me right out. Love dapper and James. Great combo 🤙🏻
Men who are suffering mentally might look like they are weak! But if your still fighting demons daily in your own head! Trust me your stronger than you think. The struggle is real
Absolutely loved this. You two are amazing. I watch both your Podcasts and love them. Don't ever stop, you's are the best. Thankyou for what you both do.
Fare play .I just gotten sober yet again done 16 years clean n sober .but deep down I still wasn't broken so started again I needed everything to be gone .mental health gone .I just needed everything to be completely gone this time around . Early days just feels very different this time around only one day at a time
Half way through and I’m cracking up, this is completely different to the normal podcasts, you both just bounce off each other. Cheers for cheering me up
I’m 4 years sober from booze, sniff the lot. Yet I say all this what dappers said about what we’re perceived as, lack of congratulations between blokes (presents etc) Glad to see someone saying it
I love this pod cast , some many guys been in this situation it's hard am 52 it's a struggle need to hear this we are not the only ones who been through this is 😊
The ADHD comments are absolutely spot on. I suffer every day with addiction and it always settles when I’m off my tits but the pain always comes back tenfold when I’m coming down
Love dapper from the vine days glad to see him back I’ve been watching his podcast and came across this awesome crossing of paths. Only just got into James recently too. This shit is fucking gold compared to any shit they feed you on tv
DAPPER. I couldn't believe it when you said about having your Mrs to Write shit down. I'm exactly the same. I NEED MY MOTHER, PARTNER , BEST MATE to write things down if they want or need me to do anything. I was diagnosed with ADHD very young. But it's getting worse. !! This podcast helped a lot. TOP BLOKE
So refreshing hearing guys speaking so openly about their emotions .. also your awareness of the trans issues stamping on women’s rights , it’s under the radar for most men , please can one of you interview Kellie- Jay Keen ( aka Posie Parker )? She’s been physically attacked at a recent rally by mainly men in dresses just for speaking on our rights being lost . Did you know the head of Rape Crisis In Edinburgh is a biological male - & he put posters out saying ‘it’s ok to orgasm if you’re raped ‘ - would a woman think or say that ??!! that’s one example Kellie has highlighted , this whole subject needs a light shining on it xx
With you both 100% brother, some dude tries walking into the toilet with my daughter were having it and I'm gonna mess that fucka up fact! Protect the kids no matter the cost to us
Either of you round Liverpool or the North West and you want any protection or just keep the idiots at bay feel free to contact me, best mate owns a close protection company and we look after VIP's and multi millionaires every other day brother 🙏 god bless both of you
Can relate so much on what we put our partners through without even realising. Being a lad a geezer whatever we dress it up as. These women that stick by us are the strongest type of people. ❤
Loads of lovely comments on here - and a couple Nob heads lol thank you!
Great to see you back on top . 🤜🏻🤛🏻
