Can you do a beginners guide? -Setting up your first tank/terrarium -Feeding -Care i would be so glad, because I really fell in love with the mack super snow.
Hi Is that sanded grout or non sanded? I know you said you like it thin at first. Does that mean you add water to a premix or do you use powdered grout? Im half way through my diy bearded dragon enclosure and the grouting as turned out to be the hardest part for me.
it's been 5 years and.. same.. i'm french and i'm struggling with all people talking about grout WTF IS GROUT PLEASE, every video talk about it and never detail anything lol
@@dollyta There are different types of grout, but tile grout works for this and is what you fill in between tiles in house ( such as bathroom) . It can come as powder…you mix yourself with water..or premade. Premade you will still probably want to thin. I know a lot of people, in Australia, use something called Tile Pointing, which seems similar. Also, grout can be sanded or non sanded.
If you are putting on the sealant you should throw a litte bit of desert zand over some spots, just like you did with your other hides to vive it a bit more color.
Great video, im in the process of making my beardy a background for my new 70 gallon. its the first time ive ever done this, i like how you explained the concistency. Did you add paint to the grout, or is that the color of it?
EX7RUD1CON Sorry I missed your message before. That is the colour of the grout. I have heard of people adding acrilic paint to their grout to colour it tho.
Reptile Creation it's all good man, I watched your other videos explaining that. I guess I should've been a little more patient lol. Really helpfull video, I actually finished making my background today, and it turned out pretty good :) only difference between ours is when I sealed mine i used a Wood glue and water mixture. when it dries it's water proof, mold and mildew resistant and totally nontoxic, plus it actually adds detail to the background.

@@belloftheball4518 mix the premix with water like you would normally just make it a bit thinner, be patient and let the first layer dry so the next layers will stick better. Hope this helps
when cooking wood for an enclosure how hot for how long do you cook it for? the wood i have im not sure what type it is but it's been dead for a couple years now just sitting around in my house
I watched a video where you made underground tunnels and just used a base coat of paint then a top layer of paint mixed with sand. Were you not satisfied with it, what I am asking is why the move to using grout?
for a snake terrarium what sealant would you suggest after applying the grout. Do you know of any clear sealants (cause im going to be using acrylic paints on the structures after i put a white grout on for an aztec ruins build for a snake terrarium)
I'm trying to introduce my 2 female leopard geckos to one another but they arnt getting along should I keep trying or give up any help would be appreciated
Puffdaddy 117 Sometimes they just wont get along. It is possible that they were improperly sexed and one or both could be a male. If thats the case they may not get along for extended periods of time. If you keep trying to put them together if you are positive they are both female watch them carefully for the first while. If they seem stressed or if one is eating all the food they should be separated right away. Good luck and watch them closely. Some geckos never do well with a tank mate, just keep these things in mind
I mean.. All of your hides look the same. Once you've seen one video, you've seen all of the videos. I do appreciate yoy taking the time to post, at least. Not the most detailed, but sometimes simple is good.

@@dollyta a lot of people also use concrete mix. I think it actually gives more rock texture but haven’t tried it.
