Love Bob I emailed him one time and he wrote me back a hand written letter I still have to this day. He’s a smart fella and a world of music history in his background. I’ve heard the stories multiple times and always love them but this was nice to hear something different out of him. Thank y’all for inviting him to speak.

Hmm curious why my name changed and added numbers to the end. Weird.

I love listening to Bob, and love his not being afraid to share his opinion :). I got his book about 7 years ago and had him autograph it for me when we were all at Dayton....He has forgotten more than most of us have ever learned.

Sorry I missed the live. I would’ve asked more questions. Lol. Id like to see the circuit as well for that thing that goes between the radio and scope

When you put 500 feet of RG213 between your transmitter and antenna (2 db loss on 75 meters and 2.4 db loss on 40 meters) the round trip loss is twice that amount. This causes a high swr to appear much lower. Then you believe an antenna like the "coaxial" antenna appears to be broadband, when in fact it is nothing more than a dipole. Bob has been told this but he continues to promote the proven myths of the antenna.
The phased dipoles DO have a f/b ratio, but relatively low gain, in the range of 3-4 db. Couple this with the loss in 500 ft of coax (see above) and the net gain is nearly negligible.
