Wow! Huge variety of different kinds of fish! I really get bored with most fish farms and hatcheries mainly promoting the largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish combo. I know it works well and it's a pretty safe gamble, but really "variety is the spice of life."
It's incredible Mr. O'Reilly had the land, resources, knowledge and the vision to create, develope and manage this. Really a great accomplishment. Not likely to get many skinny or sickly fish in such a well manager environment either. Would fish taken from here, if you're allowed too take any for eating, have a much lower mercury level than most fish?
I don't know a thing about making lakes. Why do you have to stock it every year? Don't the fish breed fast enough to keep the lake full of them?....i mean, I know you're fishing, but Im curious.
Aaron, you are not allowed to fish the lake where the bass are pellet raised. Mike is creating gene pool and fish that spawn to produce larger fish. The eco system is very special not all of the fish get pellets. Just the main lake.
You can figure out the cost of building a basic lake or pond on www.aquahabitat.com/techfaqs.html What you have to decide is are you just building a hole in the ground or a real habitat.
That's amazing here in Wayne County next Detroit you can't even find a place to go fishing without catching something that's toxic or get a fishing ticket for fishing somewhere you're not supposed to be and no place is good to go fishing off of shore nowhere where does all the DNR money go your video makes them look so crooked go to Detroit and a skinny little kid if they've ever walk to go anywhere fishing or ride their bike good job man
Everyone wants to be your friend when you have a nice fishing place, especially like this

Valid question.. Also curious about this
mostly because people are constantly fishing the lake and so the population has to be constantly replenished in order to keep up with fish loss
You can fish there, my high school team used to go there once or twice a year.
Bennett Kisla how?
Do you know where it's located?
Angel Massie I do
I would love to fish that but it must cost a pretty penny on maintain.
