hello nitesh, the effort becomes effortless effort once the five nivarans become weaker, yes intially it seems to be a struggle, but if you keep practicing , patiently & persistently, the t he effort becomes effortless, and one important thing you mentioned was to keep your five precepts in daily life, that is a very important basis to get establised effortlessly in the practice much mettta to all ❤
I feel that ..one hour sitting is like we are pandling it is hard for that hour ..but afterwards in whole day we feel very easy to remain aware .....such a great and deep observation....some taste is there in remaining in dull state I am also victim of that.... but I am keep trying 😊hard
In Theravada Buddhism, the panca nivaranani are the five hindrances, or negative mental states that can prevent enlightenment and success with meditation: sensuous desire (kāmacchanda), ill-will (vyāpāda), sloth and torpor (thīna-middha), restlessness and scruples (uddhacca-kukkucca), and skeptical doubt (vicikicchā). The five hindrances can make it difficult to achieve nirvana, the ultimate state of liberation and freedom from suffering. The Theravada tradition also identifies five mental factors that can counteract the hindrances: Vitakka: Counteracts sloth-torpor Vicāra: Counteracts doubt Pīti: Counteracts ill-will Sukha: Counteracts restlessness-worry Ekaggatā: Counteracts sensory desire
How can we know that , the process is not becoming mechanical ? Even if sometimes I don't feel like to meditate but my mind tells just sit for few minutes , because it's became habitual pattern . So don't we creat another kind of pattern in form of meditation.
Right! Continuity of practice is the key to success.Never give up.
Well said !!
