I grew up listenin to Nas, Mobb Deep, ATCQ, Tip, Ll Cool J, NWA and most of the good ones in the 90s (which I would include Eminem & Bow in). THEY were Rappers. To me (just my 2 cents), Mumbling is a completely different subcategory of the HipHop genre. I've always been a content-strong lyrical rap fan (thank goodness Logic keeps it old school). The mumbling songs got fire beat/rhythm & mad 'beat drops' (im sorry i dunno what theyre properly called) but got 0% lyricism. I refuse to call those rap songs tho. They are just not.
