Damn I'm glad this was in my recommended videos, even if it is 2 years later lol. That is a brilliant idea, going to make some of those tomorrow. Also, I tried the Diablo metal cut off wheel, it cut alright, a little slower. It was too loud for me though, had to use ear plugs with it so I went back to regular cut off wheels
Thanks, simple and brilliant! As soon as I have a working welder I'm definitely making some! If you used a super large one you could weld like a 6" piece of flat stock to each jaw to make a sheet metal brake!
Thanks for mentioning the cut off wheel. You make a good point about it lasting as it has. The project brings a lot of options. You really hit my peak interest when it came to bending metal. That could have helped me in the past. Now I know how to get around it.
Another outstanding idea !!! One question.......... if you had them to do all over again, would you have cut the handle of the wrench off LAST ? I fumble around so much that having something more substantial to hang on to while fabricating helps me.

The adjustment screw shouldn't slip for a single turn. After that the bolt is generally loose and a little slop isn't detrimental. But you can readjust after each rotation. Higher end adjustable wrenches have a more precise fitment and really don't slip at all. I didn't cut up my Proto just for this reason.
Very clever, I wonder if a universal socket would even be better. Try using a universal socket instead of a standard socket it might give you even more flexibility.
Here is another version that snap on makes but it is pricey part number ADCF8. You could just use a universal with this version. I don't know how much torque you could put on it.

Snap off had one of those back in the day I should of bought it on eBay it was like $35. If u watch videos of how to make a square hole u can add that to all the wrenches to give more torque using a long ratchet or extendable one. Nice video
Hey Moe you hit it out of the park with this one ⚾🎇🎇. A crowsfoot is not often needed but when it is there is no substitute. Now an adjustable crowsfoot, I have to say I did not see or use one before. Let see $59.00 for a sometimes used tool or lets give some old stripped sockets & a couple of disposable wrenches a new life & use. Always good to visit. Stay well, Joe Z

I just did something verrrrry similar for a small pipe wrench. They put these short af nips in a machine, and then built a frame around it haha. It was totally inaccessible for any kind of regular wrench. I didn’t weld mine, I used silicon bronze TIG.
a metric crescent wrench just what i need to change the muffler bearing LOL ITS AN AMAZING IDEA and I loved it!!!! i hope that the guy in the white rape van with the red letters doesn't steal that idea.
Please do a version 2.0. Drill a hole and insert the socket. This way if the protruding side causes a clearance issue. You have the ability to flip it over. Also this will mitigate the likelihood of rounding nuts by utilizing the fixed jaw to drive the torque.
Now if you can make a adjustable that is good for real tight places you would have something. The adjustable you made is limited to semi-tight places. Thanks
