I love it. Only issue is the 6" limitation. I have a lot of 9" boards that I have to rip down before planning. It goes well with the DeWalt planner, check this out: ua-cam.com/video/sO-7mzlsi_A/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/X7FXjtZe88g/v-deo.html Thanks!
@@HomesteadEngineering Yeah, I would like at least an 8 inch jointer, but I can't find anything that has a good reputation unless I spend $3 to 5k, which is way more than I want to spend on a jointer. I tried the bench top kind (Wahuda) but it didnt go well. I would have had to rip and glue if I had had this Ridgid jointer on my latest bench project. Would have been annoying being limited to 6 inch jointing but not the end of the world I suppose. 6 inch would probably get me 70 to 80 percent of my projects done without glue ups, though.
@@MixingGBP It comes down to budget and how much you plan to use it. If you make a living woodworking then I would spend the extra money. For my use, I can't justify the significant added expense.
Excellent color match on the wheel locks to the jointer. LOL
I know right. I guess I will have to paint the DeWalt Planer locks yellow... :)
@@HomesteadEngineering good one all the best
How do you like that Ridgid jointer? Any issues with it? How was the accuracy out of the box?

@@HomesteadEngineering right. I'm just a serious hobbyist making things for my house.
@@MixingGBP Sounds like this Rigid could be the right machine for you.
