- I purchased a Cushion Lab Lumbar Pillow and a Seat Cushion (the seat cushion is THE BEST, it saves my back!!!) to use together to relieve back pain. Getting a lumbar support for office chair cushion makes sitting at my desk for hours easier on my body. I work from home on a computer.

Great video. I have been using the seat cushion backwards. No wonder I didn’t like it. When I saw they came out with a larger version, I was thinking that maybe that was the problem. But to be quite honest, I resented having to pay close to $100 for another pillow, that might not work out. And then on top of that if it didn’t work out, I would have to pay for return shipping. I am a senior, I work from home, I live on a fixed income, so I didn’t appreciate that I might have to buy a new pillow. But now, hopefully, by using it correctly, it may work out after all.

Thanks for this video. I couldn't figure out if the seat cushion was supposed to be placed all the way back in the chair because it seems like that the back cusion would cause my butt not to sit on the seat properly. I also felt my right leg (which I already had/have a problem with) sort of ache within a minute. I'm so glad you showed to move the seat cushion to be even with the front end of the chair because that makes sense, even though in a photo on one of the inserts included with the cusions they show the seat cushion pushed all the way back on the chair seat. I'll see how this feels/works after a week or so. 'Still trying to figure out if I've got the back cushion in the best place for me.
It does take some adjustments to get it right! How's it going? Mine is still comfortable, but I prefer the back to the seat cushion.
@@UnboxMattress Still have trouble figuring out how high the back cushion is supposed to be, plus it slides down, but I think that is only due to how my chair was made. I figure the back cushion is supposed to be a lot higher than I ususally have it, so that my butt has enough room to sit / be cupped by the back part of the seat cushion, as opposed to just sitting on the peaks(?) of it.

I can't believe I didn't share that in the video. I was so focused on the cushions.
I love this chair, I bought it on Wayfair. bit.ly/wayfair-office-chair (purchased by me but I may earn on sales). Before I found it I spent so much time looking. Then I bought a drafting chair and waited too long and couldn't return it. Still I use it so much I needed it to be comfortable.
There were chairs with better style or colors but this one is so comfortable. I almost settled - glad I didn't!
I have the seat and lumbar cushions on my Aeron chair at work, sitting at a desk all day has become a little more tolerable. I originally got this cushion for my daughter who has seating issues and worked so well that I got one for me. My co-worker copied me and also had one and hates it.
Wait, your coworker hates the Cushion Lab cushion or the one they had before getting a Cushion Lab?
@@UnboxMattress he hates the cushion lab seat cushion, he thought it did not live up to the hype. I on the other hand have 3 seat cushions and lumbar pillows...to me, they live up to the hype.

I bought one before Christmas, but just started using it. Mine is rock hard! It has no give a all!!! I have a bad hip, the whole reason I bought it, and it is painful to sit on.
Good thing they have a solid return policy. It definitely sounds too firm for you. Also try the Purple brand seat cushion that’s been used on wheelchairs.

what are the dimensions of the seat cushion?
It is 18 x 16 x 4 inches tall.
They have a larger one that's 21×18×4 but they are very hard and uncomfortable. In My opinion. I bought directly from cushion lab.

No, because it's too thick and my desk is lower than most. I like to fold my legs and there just wasn't enough space under my desk to. But I still have the back cushion and love it.
@@UnboxMattress they make the car seat version, thinner than the other.
I weigh around 215 lbs. from the look of the foam in this video, I feel like the seat cushion would quickly turn into a flat pancake under my weight.
I don't think that it would, it's actually quite supportive.
How are they holding up!?
I now only use the one on my back. Other than my cat using it and having to remove the cat hair, it's wonderful! I love it still. The bottom cushion made me sit too high for my desk height and it was too crowded. Unfortunately...

You think? I'm sitting here typing this and have used it every day since this video and I think it's just right - a medium feel. It's really saved my back. But it's subjective and that's why I'm glad they have a solid return policy.
@@UnboxMattress YES!! I KNOW!!!! I got the large size (the newest version) and I'm telling you, it's HARD AS A ROCK. You pay shipping, and return shipping. 30 day return is NOT "SOLID"...Christmas gifts are bought in advance. Anyway I HATE mine. The lumbar is VERY uncomfortable too.
@@sheilaw8995 I didn't know that you pay shipping and return shipping. Thanks for pointing that out. I wish I could go back and add that. I kept mine. I also bought it directly from Cushion Lab. I wanted the seat cushion to raise my chair height up a few inches (it was as far up as it can go and it's too low for me). However, I didn't like having to sort of climb up onto it. I also had to position it just right. So I just use the lumbar cushion now and need to sell the other one on eBay or something. I should've returned it in the 30 day window. However, at that point I still liked it enough to keep it. Now, I don't and it's in the closet.
@@UnboxMattress I'm so sorry you had that experience too. It's tough when the return window is 30 days, it's not enough time to really know if something works. For future reference, anytime you have a product past the return window, reach out to the company anyway. Sometimes they will allow the return anyway. Best to you, and Happy Holidays.
@@sheilaw8995 thank you for that tip! I do get product sent to me to review on this channel. In this case I was desperate for a comfortable office chair and bought it. I sit most of the day (editing videos, for example) and was getting back aches. I honestly wish I could have the feel of the Sleep Easy pillow in a seat cushion. I also tried the Purple but didn't love it. I'm still happy I kept the back cushion. It stays in place and is perfect for me. Happy holidays to you too, thanks for your comments!
