    This is the scariest and most sorry I've ever felt for a zombie. It's not a mindless brain eating entity, it's a literal infected animal trapped in a state of feral, and in an empty body.

      @landonletterman831 Рік тому +84

      It's a sickness thing. He killed all of those dinosaurs in a "rabies" like rage. They're not turning. Evidenced by the bite that turned him, he kicked the little dinosaur and it hit so hard the body broke, and it literally couldn't go on (didn't keep crawling on, despite an intact skull). Brain (eye) went back to normal in the final moments, almost leading to believe this is a single monster itself, passing from host to host, and leading the host down a genocidal path of self destruction (can't find no more, transfer to a different host)
      Numb to pain, numb to damage, but not numb to death, it seems (also weird that the eye goes back to normal like it does, in the final moments, like there's some kind of magical origin to this sickness). This thing is just about like all the other monsters Spear and Fang have defeated with fire, desperately destroying its current host as it tries to infect one of them to continue on.

Its either because of the plague driving it nuts, the wounds it sustained, the organs deteriorated, the brain put past or beyond its limits, breaking the laws of its physiology or all of the above. Good thing it died in the molten lava but who knows how many it got infected or were infected prior to this poor thing's demise. Because if the infection could work on two hosts at the same time then why the first dinosaur died immediatly after infecting the sauropod ? And we never see another infected dinosaur after the sauropod was burned but he bites many other sauropods , so i dont think this infection can spread like that.

    This is still one of the best zombie pieces of media imo. The fact that they took a dinosaur that's normally portrayed as a gentle giant and turned it into a horrifying undead monster and then did it RIGHT is phenomenal. There's no dialog to tell how the main characters are feeling or what they're thinking, but the level of 'show, don't tell' of Primal overall speaks where Fang and Spear don't. When Spear looks down into the empty chest cavity of the mad sauropod, you can just tell that he cannot comprehend how it is alive and moving and just how terrifying that is for him. In the end, too, you're struck with this powerful emotion as you watch the episode come to a close. That's not even touching on how grotesque and perfect the visuals for both zombie dinosaurs are. It all just works so well together; Tartakovsky and his team blasted this one out of the park.
    tl;dr: Man The Land Before Time reboot gritty af.
