Ceramic caps are round, lower voltage are brown higher voltage are generally light blue. All of these have silver plating inside. Tantalum capacitors older ones look like bullets or tic tacs, newer ones are little black boxes they will always have a polarity marking. These have a tantalum slug with silver plating on it inside. Foil mylar capacitors will be cylindrical or chicklet shaped most of these are green but bigger ones are any color. Electrolytic capacitors are generally small to large aluminum cylinders. The legendary mlcc capacitors are either rectangular dipped in a brownish coating or small brown chips on the board. These have palladium and silver inside.❤
Hey Mike, at 3:28 the little tiny capacitors between the resistor arrays are old style MLCCs. While not all of them will contain palladium, a lot of them will. They are really hard to get off sometimes, especially when they are surrounded by other items, but they will eventually add up. Take care..................Mike
Ah the 103's the tiny yellow ones are monolithic. I haven't really got into removing them but I do keep all my boards. I will eventually get around to it so much other stuff to get done. My garage is a mess let alone my backyard haha.
on the board there are letters and numbers that tell you what it is r for resistor c for capacitor just giving alittle help out on how to tell what component it is.
I have a question about the deposition of silver with palladium and how to separate the two from some and what materials are used and thank you very much.
Well I know most of the information that you say is is accurate but honestly by accident I accidentally broke a yellow one a square one one time like the ones you have on the tweezers and honestly it was an older board but I seen gold inside of it I don't know if that's the color of tantalum or not but I was just you know wanted to know is that is that what it's supposed to look like or because that was by accident did I accidentally broke them broke it with my pliers and I seen gold inside of it
I wish I could add a photo into the chat because I have a tube shape capacitor with plus symbols it’s black one side with the wire is silver. The other side of the capacitor is red with the wire coming out number 23033 cosmic 10MFV 15V. FROM JAPAN
Thanks a lot. Great video. Can you please tell us where you can sell these? In the Netherlands I cannot find a buyer. And for what price can you sell these?
That's a hard question as I live in America, here they pay around $25 pound for them. I looked for buyers in your area and found nothing. I don't know if the shipping cost would be worth it to sell them at all. Maybe if yo get a hundred pounds or so then it will be beneficial.
I believe there is only one place in the UK too, off the top of my head I can't think of the name of the company unfortunately but I'm sure it could be found easily enough but I do know they only buy 25 kilos upwards of electronic components.

Nice to find a fellow Alamo scrapper. Just moved back to shitty Chicago after 10 years in S.A. Can't wait to go back.

Alamo City Scrapping I know, hard to get used to this industry. wish I would have got into this 20 years ago
Would of been worth it I think. It has really taken off. Hopefully well see the prices of other metals increase as well.
👍👍👍

Thank you for that good video!
It shows me a lot.
I Love Scrappers !! A different breed man ! Lol...
the round capacitors contain silver just so u know
Thank you sir.
I thought palladium as well..
@@JamesBroxson yep that too
Hi there, just subed.I'll check out your other vid's when i get a chance. Thanks for your info,Kevin from New Zealand 👍
2:17 Could they be varistors?
Great Video Thanks
I have hundreds of pounds of this stuff . I found a bunch of the old capicuters the big ones....
I have a question about the deposition of silver with palladium and how to separate the two from some and what materials are used and thank you very much.
Where do u cash those in at?
Great info, new to your channel.
Do u suggest separating the yellow ones from the black ones
7:48 How do you know that black cap isn't a SMD Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor ?
Because their are manuals that you can look up to verify what you're looking at.
What shape are the ceramic caps?

Hey i I've in Alberta and I'm trying to find somone to buy theses capacitors any chance u can help me out
Sorry for the late response. I dont have any idea about Alberta I'm from down south. Might want to try and gloogle some buyers in Canada.
I'm also in Alberta 👋
I use a pair of pliers to remove them

Hi sir ♥
Is this contain silver??
Good vid
Good video I have supcride to your channel
Thanks

That is a great price. Thanks for your reply.
@Ian Thanks for your info.
I too live in the Netherlands and buy scrap from time to time. What sort of scrap do you have?
Quando costa un gramo di tantalum
I have in brazil
Il processo per tirare fuori tantalum perfavore grazzie
Most of them have pd .
Îmi placeee
Lol. Woah. I'm so confused "don't Dink"
What is the price per kilogram of this?
