How do you lower the legs of that first trailer you parked when you are an inch off the wall? And when reversing the trailer it looks at some point you lose sight of the back and side of it, i would be well nervous about hitting something
@@philm4682 good question, at the back and along side there is a stower looking and if something is not ok he blows a whisel. When thé trailer is in position they place a ferry under and lower thé unit on that where thé rigger-stower secure te unit with chains all along thé weather forecast. Bad weather is more chains sometimes up to 10 pieces.
21 years as a stevedore in Helsinki, of which 16 years driving tugmasters (all Sisu/ Kalmar in my workplace), straddle carriers and reach stackers. The smaller the vessel, the narrower the lanes, and the tighter the spot to place the trailer, the more I like it. Gotta love it no safety helmets on this video - I honestly hate them so much.
Hello Rumeel, on thé terminal whe normale don't crank thé landing gear. When whe drive onboard they have you be up because otherwise if you drive to topdeck of lowerhold off ship you damage one of theother...... and you have a damageclaim 🥴

Yes indeed, whe load and unload the norsky and norstream. They use to Sail on teesport but now on Tilbury, freight is increased and now whe have the norstream and bore-song on Tilbury
I work at the Immingham port RORO cars ect and the tugs are all over the place. It always fascinates me watching them maneuvering but batters my head how they do it.
It is Called OCZ. Opleiding center Zeebrugge. But it's a internal center, you have to Sine up first doe harbor employees and start at thé bottom. You van not do this straight away?
@@joegriffin9427 st 47 mate. But dont be fooled, we have about 4 maybe 5 newish tugs and a load of jalopies for the rest Haha. Plus a VMU fitters bay that only work mon-fri 9-5. 😒😒😒

@@andisadler2897 thank you, I loved my job but on pension since may. Good memories and great friends drivers. All good things come to a end.
Excellent. Do this job myself. At times hard and stressful but also rewarding. Great video!

@@photographycyclist that’s awesome. I bet you’ve moved some trailers in your time.

@@photographycyclist but doesn't the terminal trackor raise the landing gear? You lift a trailer way higher than what the landing gear can extend.
