Hey Eli. I started 3-4 weeks ago and based on all your videos I got the first five shoots under my belt by offering free bookings. On the fifth one, the agent said he was so satisfied with my work he was going to pay me. Your videos on outsourcing editing, HDR, equipment, and marketing have all been very helpful.

    A great example to copy.

To anyone questioning if Eli is the real deal.... 1000% he is... There are so many online classes and workshops out there, and I have tried almost all of them. Eli's class is the ONLY one I have found, that teaches in a way like you are actually with them. Every part of his class is useful, and helpful and helps build your business. I have been a professional photographer for over ten years, I took eli's online class and now my photography business is 100% real estate photography and video only.... If you have even considered his class for a second, do yourself a favor and take the course. !!!! Great stuff!!! Also anyone who reads this feel free to contact me directly, just so you know this isn't some BS marketing stuff!! I am an independent photographer who just believes in this course!!

Ryan. I have a question. I’m thinking about taking Eli’s course. Does it cover any of the back end business stuff (setting up business, LLC, liability insurance, things like that)? Thanks

I'm building a website and working to get started with a system that streamlines the delivery process to the client. I realized i have more research to do when you mentioned Full frame, and HD photo hub. Thank you

Thank you so much for your video! I had a question about real estate agents. What do you do when dealing with a difficult agent? I worked for a real estate company as a photographer and I had some agents tell me my photos were terrible, others were very late, and some didn’t show up while the homeowners were still home. I would love to offer great customer service and I’m wondering how you do that when dealing with difficult agents. Thank you!

Awesome video! Thank you! Just out of curiosity, what do you define as well dressed for this kind of job, especially in summer months? Do polos, and chino shorts suffice during hot months or would you still recommend wearing nice long chino pants? Thanks! :)

I really enjoyed this video and enjoyed the start up tips. I'm curious whats the process like of getting your pilot license and learning how to use your drone? I don't don't come from a graphics/creative background, would you say learning these platforms are difficult or time consuming?

The process for getting your Part 107 Certificate is pretty straight forward, you just need to learn the specific information, schedule and pay for your test and take the test. I found a great resource on youtube that is the only thing I used to study and passed first try, no problem.
      ua-cam.com/video/6_ucCKFJUCU/v-deo.html
What I did, was schedule my test about a month or so out, when forced me to have a deadline for studying, then I just dug into the information Tony provides in the video.
Learning to actually fly the drone just takes a bunch of practice.

Any suggestions for starting in a really saturated market? Seems like every cold call with an agent about a free or discounted shoot they say they have someone already.
I work full time Monday-Thursday with some flexibility. Would it be difficult to get book for real estate only being available 3 days a week?

Can you make a video about how to find and hire photographers and editors for your business? I would like to scale up where I just manage the business but I don't know where to start to find people I can trust. Do I train people or do I look for folks who are already in the industry?
Also when you say 45 min per shoot or 2 hours, does that include editing, and delivering?

    • @Coryo61827
      @Coryo61827 3 роки тому +2

I’m assuming the 45 minutes - 2 hours is just for the shooting of pictures alone. If he could shoot a house AND have it edited within just 45 minutes, that would be VERY impressive lol.
I’m not a business owner myself, but what I would do as far as hiring photographers to work for you is put some ads out there detailing exactly what basic skills the photographers you are looking to hire should have. So say you focus on more flash and drone photography for your business, you could say “Looking for photographers who are skilled with flash photography and use of drone aerial photography.”
If you think you have a more unique shooting style that you’d like your photographers to know, you might have to train them a little bit so that way they can shoot exactly to your liking and have consistency in your company with your clients. I would recommend this option if you’re truly struggling to find the right photographers you need. It will take a little longer and need more effort, but the results will be worth it in the end for you. Hope this helps! :)

As long as people see photography as a click, or they have a cousin that shoots on weekends with their hobby camera for 30 euros, or Hotels that shoot only on cellphones as long as they have costumers...we are doomed.
And some hotels or companies, when they really need a professional photographer they still want the cheapest guy ever even with bad photos. Here in Portugal I have competition charging 75 or 25 euros....
