Asylum Seeker Attacks Ex-Muslim Roommate in UK, 'Motivated by Gaza'

- In a distressing case unfolding in the UK, 45-year-old Moroccan asylum seeker Ahmed Alid stands accused of murdering 70-year-old Terrence Carney and attempting to murder his housemate, Javed Nouri, in Hartlepool. The violence, according to the prosecution at Teesside Crown Court, was driven by Alid's reaction to the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza. Prosecutor Jonathan Sandiford KC described how Alid, harboring extreme views, assaulted Nouri on October 15, 2023, after breaking into his room at 4 AM. Alid, who shouted "Allahu Akbar" (God is Great), stabbed Nouri near the heart and continued attacking even as Nouri tried to defend himself. Alid reportedly acted out of a belief that Nouri, being a Christian convert, was an apostate deserving of death. Alid's rampage did not stop with Nouri; he fatally stabbed Carney several times as the pensioner was out for a morning walk. Sandiford highlighted Alid's motivation, stating he attacked to "further his desire that Palestine would be free from Zionists," and chillingly added, "the defendant said he would have killed more people if he had been able to do so." This case paints a grim picture of how deeply held beliefs can manifest into violent actions, impacting the lives of individuals and their communities.

I don't know what to say... even natives complain about idiot bureaucracy... but I think some westerners want to believe that if we put these religious people in our countries, their views will eventually change to become more tolerant and want to co-exist. Yet we hear nothing in the media about ex-muslims being persecuted in the west because the system or media don't profit from that. And the ones trying talk about this don't get a platform. Sometimes these people who threaten these individuals are working within the system too.

I trust the National Health Service will give Mr Nouri plastic surgery to mend his injuries to a large extent. To get a perfect cosmetic result, which would take longer, he would probably need to go to an expensive private plastic cosmetic surgeon.

Most Muslims don't even condemn this. They like that this muslim took an ex muslim's life. It's so obvious to anyone that isn't brainwashed by the belief that Islam is a religion of peace that most Muslims condone this. Silence is violence, and the silence from the majority of muslims is deafening.

It's not enough to not be a terrorist, they have to call out extremist Muslims for their savagery and bloodthirst. Just like with racism, it's not enough to just not be racist, racism needs to be called out and challenged directly. The left says that "silence is violence" yet I have yet to see them call out the "peaceful" Muslims on their silence. Like you said, many of them are okay with what the terrorists are doing because their book says that is what they need to do to apostates, non-believers, polytheists, wiccans, etc. No matter how nice the Muslim may be, they can still be okay with murder in the name of their religion and God. Just like a quote says: religion is an insult to humanity. With or without it, you would have good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things, but in order for a good person to do a bad thing that takes religion. I hope I didn't butcher that quote. That's what religion can do. People who are otherwise good people can have their minds warped by religion to the point where they would justify atrocities.

Morroccan apostate here , there is no reason for a morroccan to claim asylum unless he is gay because homosexuality is illegal and you can go to prison for up to 8 years but other than that , Morrocco is one of the most free societies of the arab world , it is a country that hasn't gone trough war for decades and that has a decent situation

The correct translation of "Allahu akbar" is "Allah is greater" not, I repeat NOT "God is great". Allah is not the name of the God of the Bible but the name of the god of the koran. The word 'greater' indicates precisely what they are talking about, that their god is 'greater' than the God of the Bible and all other gods. It is a triumphalist mantra by Muslims who always use it when committing atrocities against normal people.
