H/H match update: ... Our returning champion matched first with Richard, and then Brett, and then Richard again, and now it's Fannie's turn to try! I'm glad to see some variety in the H/H match, and I really appreciate the current mega-champ for choosing different celebs rather than picking the same one over and over and over. But the important thing is that it's working great for her! She's raking it in! (As the title to the video says, she sets an all-time MG winnings record today.) Oh, let's not fret about poor Richard, he has played 19 of the past 23 H/H matches after all... Today's question: "________ Tie" Of course I immediately thought of bow tie. How could I not? After Gene asked the question, the camera panned to Fannie and her big black bow tie. There really is no other answer! Fannie took a moment, wrote slowly, considered it for another moment and finally slipped the card into the slot... ...And our contestant earned another 5K! This is Fannie's 10th H/H match, and her accuracy score advances from superior to incredible - a good 12 percentage points higher than either Brett or Richard, and almost 7 points higher than Charles and 5 points higher than Betty. Here's the updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 83.3% (5 wins in 6 attempts). TIE: Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Fannie - 52.6% (10 wins in 19 attempts). Betty - 46.9% (15 wins in 32 attempts). Charles - 45.2% (19 wins in 42 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Brett - 39.6% (19 wins in 48 attempts). Richard - 39.4% (122 wins in 310 attempts). Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 563, excluding the lost/missing episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
@@mehboobkm3728 Yes, I watched many of those “What’s My Line” shows here on UA-cam. Those were good, clean family shows. I miss that kind of television.
I loved Fannie and her misspelled words as a kid. It wasn't until a teacher spotted a pattern in Flagg's misspelled written answers on Match Game and sent her a note that she understood she had a learning disability. In fact, Flagg said she hadn't even heard of the disorder until she received that note.
Carol always comes up with bad 1st round answers, but has each time come back on the 2nd round to win. I wonder if that's her strategy or just real and has good luck with it.
Arlene Francis is actually the reason I'm watching this week of episodes again. I've recently been watching lots of What's My Line? episodes, and it's great to see Arlene Francis on Match Game after seeing her on many WML episodes. I agree that it would have been great to see Bennett Cerf on Match Game too! (I wonder if he was ever on the 1960s Match Game?)
The Cannon question was an obvious fat guy joke, how come nobody said "eats?" The contestant came closest with "bites," but everyone else had variations on "hits" or "beats up." I wonder if they would have matched "bites" and "eats?"

Wow Fannie really hung on for that hug.
I just love Fannie !!
She had “POLAL BEAR” as her answer!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
@@craigfoye6674 she was dyslexic
@@storylass9071 she was lysdexic
I always loved Arlene Francis. She was the epitome of class and elegance.

This was the first episode I saw 20 years ago in a tape trade!
It’s hard being in the third position all the good answers are already taken
Happy memories of 1975. Loved the 70s❤

Richard is so darn funny!!!!...."rocked himself to sleep trying to get up"...that really cracked me up. I've had a crush on him most of my life.
me too , i find him very handsome
I love Fannies Minnie Mouse sweater top
I love it when Gene does the foreign accents!😃

Does anybody know why Game Show Network only airs reruns from 1974, 1977 & 1978?
This is just a guess, probably because Buzzr has the rights to '75 and '76.
Bc they are dumb.
They are playing 75 and 76 in 2021.
I love how so many questions are actually advertisements
I don't understand the 25k limit it was so random. Like when they had a rule you couldn't pick the same celebrity 2x in a row then reversed it.
It was a network limit for all of CBS's game shows in those days so that they could get more contestants on their shows.
It's too bad Bennett Cerf died in 1971 at 73. Had he lived just a few more years I'm sure he would been on the 70s Match Game.

5:42 Richard sees eye to eye with Minnie!
Bob Barker’s voice sounds just like Jack Benny’s.
The godfather did not say oy vey.
No one really wanted to insult Cannon except the last two
Fannie wasn't a skinny Minnie either.
Panelists:
1. Bob Barker
2. Brett Somers
3. Charles Nelson Reilly

Bob Barker was long winded, wasn't he? He just went on and on.
dude rubs me the wrong way, seems full of himself.

I wonder...Did Match Game ever have a "Champions" edition?
Something like Jeopardy's Tournament of Champions? I don't think so, unless some newer version of Match Game has done it.
Mostly this was a game of luck but not of much real intelligence. I would not think so. Never saw it.
1:51 How Cold Is She?
Don’t want to be a fuddy-duddy but it’s either „Mon Cher“ or „Ma chérie“ but There is no „Mon Chérie“. Meanwhile love the game
Computer dating services existed in 1975?
Lol
Not to my knowledge but I was young. Most people were able meet in real life situations
Yes but you filled out a questionnaire that was put into a computer. Then the computer suggested possible matches. It wasn’t online dating.
