Hi there! Just happened to stumble on your channel! I'm curious was it necessary to keep him handcuffed with the obvious burns! No disrespect to police just curious why!
Because until it’s determined he wasn’t armed or going to flee again he is under arrest. The initial 911 calls said he had pointed a gun at two different people.
In the Navy they use recorded video in subsequent training. For example, in fire fighting training you get to watch a video on the USS Forrestal. They should show videos like this one here during taser training. I mean it's pretty obvious you shouldn't use an ignition source near flammable substances, but sometimes seeing the direct outcome of stupid decisions helps you not make those same stupid decisions in the future.
This guy and his lawyer are going to have a field day with this one. It will be a very bad day for the police department. Optics here are horrendous even if the actual injuries are not. If you’re representing the plaintiff in a lawsuit, having video of him literally on fire because of the defendant’s negligence is pure gold. Using that taser within inches of raw gasoline will be impossible to explain away, and that driver’s prior conduct beforehand will not be nearly enough to mitigate it. Just my opinion of course…after practicing law for 40 years.
Truthfully, people who play stupid games get stupid prizes. This kid is going to feel this mistake for the rest of his life. Was it worth it? He’ll have to answer that one.
I don't think it was actually used. it looked like the officer tried to put the tazer back in the other officer's holster and it accidentally we t off.
A wise man once said something to the effect that a culture and society can be judged and reflected in how that society treats their prisoners. We as a Western culture like to think that we're the best but this video objectively shows us we've still got a LONG way to go.
I definitely won't deny that this was a really dumb move on the Deputy there to use his tazer after the other cops already acknowledged the gasoline spilling but let's not forget too that this is another crazy situation that never would have happened in the first place if he had stopped for them before but no he decided to continue to run and because of that the entire situation got a hell of alot worse than it would have been, people said that cops were called on him cause he pulled a gun on passing drivers on the road and thats why they were after him, I'm saying this because some people think that this was all over him doing wheelies cause it wasn't
For the cop involved that deployed the taser a learning lesson for all should be had, that cannot happen near gas, ever. For criminals like this young man, its a painful way to learn not to be a thug. Stop when the police are stopping you, or better yet don't be breaking the law in the first place, then when caught don't continue to be a thug and resist arrest. He just continued to make the situation worse.
From the outside looking in, it seems like tasers are only somewhat effective at best on any given day. Maybe you hit a your target, maybe it gets stuck in a jacket, and maybe you set a guy on fire. It doesn’t seem like a tool you can consistently depend on when you need it. One of those 60% of the time it works every time kind of deals.
@@MikeyMoVlogs Mikey, you might want to watch a few videos from England where a taser is the highest level weapon most officers carry. The show is called "Police Code Zero," and they show officers being attacked who are reluctant to even use their tasers! In one episode, a guy comes at an officer with a machete and cuts him up pretty badly and yet the officer did not attempt to tase the suspect. The premise of the show is that the police have this great resource--a button on their portable radio that alerts dispatchers to an emergency, something our officers have had for years as well! I enjoy and learn from your videos!
The sad unfortunate truth is sh***y accidents happen that could have been avoided but that is exactly the reason they are called accidents. When people get the adrenaline flowing fair reasoning goes out the window. They act instinctively to the emotions at the time.
Oh my gosh what a terrible incident , that truly could have been avoided. Now ALL of these mens lives are changed forever. It just shows officers are just people too , just making the best decisions they know how to in a high stress environment. I just wish he had thought this through better .
Wow that's crazy. Maybe it should be less of a reminder to cops and be more of a reminder to these criminals. That situation would have been prevented if he would have just pulled over. Also just wanted to say one more thing a criminal is always going to act tough until they get hurt and then they scream like a little girl as you seen in the video. Oh and I'm pretty sure he wasn't even from our country judging by his thick accent . But anyways shout-out to that officer with the fire extinguisher quick thinking and really smart 👍🏼. P.S I love each and every one of you brave officer's I really do appreciate your guy's commitment in making our community's safer if I ever see a officer in need of assistance I will assist my life to protect my friends in blue.

Unfortunate yes, but I guess I'm an asshole because I was laughing as he got a bit of HOT KARMA. Until I saw the extent of his injuries and no, he didn't deserve all that. I do believe that he's the instrument of his own destruction.

There was the same taser fire in a police lobby (midwest), big drunk guy. ETOH + Tazer= fire
Haha this escalating quickly..holy shit
Oh wow this is in Kissimmee, I wouldn't be surprised
Man what an unfortunate situation
I have been swarmed by teen boys on unregistered dirt bikes in Baltimore, no sympathy from me. Play stupid games win stupid prizes
I can’t imagine the lawsuit
Here we go everybody play stupid games as always you’re gonna win stupid prizes
Ouch
I remember this dude running with a gas can and was tazed. He lit up like a Christmas Tree.
Hey Mikey - Old are the dirt bike riders in you estimation ?
I feel bad for the officers not the 'kid'. Play stupid games get stupid prizes.
Yes and their newest generation one sucks. We’ve had very bad luck with them since they changed them.
Love the movie quote!
Let the video play and comment after
Sorry if I missed it, but was the cop that was on fire ok?
What I’m curious about is the fact if this incident had any consequences for the officer who deployed the taser?
Boy o boy!!! Multi million dollar lawsuit there!! Was overkill really worth it? Safety first!...😯
The sad unfortunate truth is sh***y accidents happen that could have been avoided but that is exactly the reason they are called accidents. When people get the adrenaline flowing fair reasoning goes out the window. They act instinctively to the emotions at the time.
Yes they do
Oh my gosh what a terrible incident , that truly could have been avoided. Now ALL of these mens lives are changed forever. It just shows officers are just people too , just making the best decisions they know how to in a high stress environment. I just wish he had thought this through better .
Just comply!!!
Yeaaaaaah someone is getting sued and or fired without question.
My God what a one track mind you can literally see the young man's skin burning like charcoals and instead of empathy or sympathy for his fellow MAN whose wrist and hands are clearly on fire and pain. The. Robot/ officer's MIND was have to put 🔥 burning body in ✋ hand cuffs HOW SAD WHAT WE HAVE BECOME. BUT STILL GREAT VIDEO OFFICER MIKEY
😭 to bad. That's what happens when you run or fight with the police.
Hey Mikey I thought you were in Ohio or somewhere near there not Florida lol I must've heard wrong a few vids ago lol
@5:20 “ Ignition On”!!! Yep, they ignited his ass!!!!!!
*Ignition: ON*
To be fair, the Ignition On was green lit.
Unfortunate yes, but I guess I'm an asshole because I was laughing as he got a bit of HOT KARMA. Until I saw the extent of his injuries and no, he didn't deserve all that. I do believe that he's the instrument of his own destruction.
Outrageous prices gat they keep touching him and even handcuffing him after.
Wow, their body cam audio sucks. They need to get with Mikey Mo and learn how to get some of the best audio in the country!
Stunt riding on bikes in our city is unfortunately happening more frequently. It's so unnerving and dangerous as heck! I've seen many a time.. how it didn't cause a major car pile up was a miracle. People who do these things have no regard for their fellow man. My hat's off to these cops for trying to deal with a tough situation as best they could. No it wasn't executed perfectly, but last time I checked humans aren't perfect yet.
The French found out the same way that tasers and pepper spray work about the same way too!
Yikes... that'll be huge lawsuit.
Not really.
AW POOR GUY GOT A LITTLE BURNT !
You know this someone will bring charges on that officer and the city,
