The Mac n Queso cheese pull did NOT disappoint and good call starting with that first! Since you are clearly a mac and cheese aficionado, I wondered what your favorite noodle(s) is for the dish!? 😋
This is my first review of your channel, and I have to say that I am very impressed with your honest opinion. I have a pending trip to the Swan in November, and I am bypassing the Bluezoo; now I am nuts for mac n cheese, and I will try that same menu you had at Rosa Mexicano. You have earned my subscription. Thank you very much. Stay safe 🙏.
Just checked out Bluezoo after watching your video and had to fork and knife the crab nachos, so it wasn't a fluke on your visit . Rosa Mexicano is very good, whereas Bluezoo is average .
Thanks for the review Kristen! I stay at the Swan a lot. Haven’t done Blue Zoo in a while but do enjoy Rosa Mexicano and also the bar at Shula’s, which stays open late.
Years ago, many years ago, when I was working in NYC, we'd go out after work to the bars with the best "happy hours" which translated into inexpensive drinks (usually buy two and the third was on the house) and a delicious buffet of "free food". I guess times they are a changing😂😢😂😢
I felt your struggle with those oysters 🥴 the black one made me remember your F&W video with the black lobster with the key lime butter Plus Effen Cucumber Vodka, lol - the name made me laugh…bahaha 🤣
Thanks, Kristen, for showing us these restaurants! Bummer that Blu Zoo didn't live up to expectations, but the drink prices were good! Thank you for bringing us along! 💜
Next trip I am insisting on Rosa Mexicano for the Mac n Queso, Birria Tacos and a pitcher of margaritas. They are gonna have to roll me out of there. 😂 Thanks for the review.
Next time you’re on the West coast take a trip down to Carlsbad Aqua Farm. They have tours and oyster tasting and they teach you to shuck. It’s an hour south of Disney. I’ll never eat oysters anywhere else.
Awesome review! I love all your videos so much and appreciate your honest reviews. Would you recommend the $5 queso pour for the birria tacos? Thank you for all your content!
My family and I went to Rosa’s for the first time this summer and it was absolutely delicious !!!! The table side Guacamole is hands down the best I have ever had and we are from Texas so we know good Guac. ❤ def going to make this a place we go every time we visit Disney.
West Coast Oysters had the Norovirus outbreak earlier this year. Supposedly they linked it to oysters from Mexico. Those are black and contaminated oysters they served her. Crazy how Florida is getting west coast seafood even tho they share the Gulf. It’s still crazy to know upper and lower peninsula on the east coast both have really good lobster. New England has the best oysters. I love mine with lemon and habanero salsa! East coast seafood all the way lol
Rosa is our MUST do every trip! Quinn & Kevin will hook you up! Frozen pomegranate Marg is 🔥 The table side Guac is like no other, half chicken dinner & Tampiquena dinner are my favorites!
@@wrightdownmainstreet Can’t wait to see your review! You have me wanting to try the Mac. I’m telling you, that mole on the half chicken is a bit of heaven and so are the roasted plantains! 🤤 Had it last week and gonna eat it again as soon as we get there this Friday. One last hurrah before summer break is over and I won’t be able to come for a while.
Orlando peeps: quesa loco has great birria tacos! Near winter park. Sometimes they have buy one get one free on Uber eats so it’s 16 dollars for 6 tacos and they have birria ramen!
I was cringing watching you eat the west coast oysters, yuk. Lesson learned ask which coast before ordering oysters. Soggy nachos also another yuk. So glad Rosa Mexicano was a win for you.
I knew they were west coast before ordering but I’ve never tried so I wanted to! I don’t think I can judge west coast oysters based on this experience. The quality was so poor
Re: the oysters, they are definitely not all equal, it may not be that all west coast oysters are like that, could be the particular species. I really disliked oysters from New Orleans, very muddy-ish to me. I can't explain it, but not my cup of tea. I think an indication of a place that know their stuff about oysters - they usually can tell you exactly where and which specie it is. Here in NZ we get Bluff oysters which are HUGE. I really enjoy your revies :)
I’ve never hear of east coast oysters being better, the PNW is literally known for their oysters! Coming from the PNW, I can’t do east coast oysters lol
I had a reservation for Rosa Mexicano, got it on Open Table. They have a lounge that has walk up seating. And at Bluezoo I just walked up & sat in the lounge.
Those oysters looked straight up offensive. And thank you for showing bc I shall never consume a West Coast oyster. Ew, gross. And I LOVVVE oysters. But I’ll stick to my East Coasters.
I definitely should have eaten them first now that I think about it. But if I paid $30 for those nachos & let them sit for 15 mins before eating I would be appalled.
West coast oysters are MUCH different than East coast, much smaller and much more briny. Most people either like one or the other. I would think if you like west coast oysters you would like the ones you tried. If you prefer East coast, then yeah…. The ones you had wouldn’t be your fav. Also, did you happen to ask why the price for the tartar was the same price at HH as the regular menu?
I think I wouldn’t mind west coast, this was just a case of very poor shucking & horrible quality. I was told that if shucked bad the oysters will bleed causing all of the black seen in mine.
So I was always taught oysters are best in months that end in R (Sept-Dec) idk if this only applies to the gulf coast but just sharing my knowledge. Much love from Bayou Lafourche, Louisiana🤍
You have great content. Since you and Promise are the Cheese Pull Experts, it would be fun to see the Best Of The Cheese Pull at Disney Springs.
Thanks so much!! A cheese pull off 😂😂
The Mac n Queso cheese pull did NOT disappoint and good call starting with that first! Since you are clearly a mac and cheese aficionado, I wondered what your favorite noodle(s) is for the dish!? 😋
Those oysters looked crazy! Bless your heart for eating as many as you did. The mac and queso cheese pull was awesome! Thanks for another great video!

Thanks for the great review as we will be staying at the Dolphin hotel this weekend and checking out those restaurants! I appreciate your honesty!
Thanks for the review Kristen! I stay at the Swan a lot.

Love to see more Rosa mexicano reviews!
A great review thank you
Nah girl. I’m from Tomales Bay in California- home of many oyster farms. Those oysters do not look good. Not a reflection of our West Coast.
Yeah, I am not judging west coast based on these. I feel like this was a case of really really bad quality
@@wrightdownmainstreet Well if you ever come to Nor Cal, we will hook you up right! Love your videos so much!!!! Keep ‘em coming. 😎
Agreed. I’m from California and Washington State and those oysters are not good examples of west coast oysters.
Thanks, Kristen, for showing us these restaurants!
Bummer that Blu Zoo didn't live up to expectations, but the drink prices were good!
Thank you for bringing us along! 💜
I heard Rosa Mexicano has great churro waffles for breakfast.
Yes! They look different from the ones at Disney too. I need to try them out
ok Jeannine, now I will be giving Rosa breakfast a try too!
Next trip I am insisting on Rosa Mexicano for the Mac n Queso, Birria Tacos and a pitcher of margaritas. They are gonna have to roll me out of there. 😂 Thanks for the review.
You’ve got the right idea!!
Next time you’re on the West coast take a trip down to Carlsbad Aqua Farm. They have tours and oyster tasting and they teach you to shuck. It’s an hour south of Disney. I’ll never eat oysters anywhere else.
Love the videos. I agree these oysters didn’t look amazing. Saw you on the 4th at Epcot. Next time I’ll say hi. :)
You are making me so hungry!!!
Sorry!! 😂😂
Hi! I love my oysters straight up. Interesting. I love the oysters at Chelsea’s market in Greenwich NYC.
Awesome review! I love all your videos so much and appreciate your honest reviews. Would you recommend the $5 queso pour for the birria tacos? Thank you for all your content!
Thanks so much!! Honestly I would be so tempted to try that hahaa I bet it would be amazing
I will only do YT would love to see that video here I will def check out that Rick’s if I move to Otown
Lee and Rick's looks cool! 😃
Those oysters looked rotten af!
Todd English is known for seafood. Alway s go for the guac ❤❤ You never mentioned how it is to stay there, perhaps you could dive into that!
My family and I went to Rosa’s for the first time this summer and it was absolutely delicious !!!! The table side Guacamole is hands down the best I have ever had and we are from Texas so we know good Guac. ❤ def going to make this a place we go every time we visit Disney.
Wow high praise!! I really love the guac from La Cava in Epcot. I’m curious to see how Rosa’s would stack up
You need to find Island Creek Oysters, nothing but the best. Love and appreciate your honesty
West coast oysters have so much more brine and they taste like the bottom of a pier. East coast all the way.

It’s def going to become a favorite of mine too! I must try the tableside guac next time

Went for a birthday dinner at Rosa's and the mexican fried rice was my husband's favorite. Everything was delicious but $$$.
Theres a rosa mexicano here in the northern virginia area at the national harbor theirfood is pretty solid :)
Todd English's restaurant in Massachusetts was subpar from what I remember as well; that was ages ago but...still.
Yeah, not sure if I’ll return there 😬
Orlando peeps: quesa loco has great birria tacos! Near winter park. Sometimes they have buy one get one free on Uber eats so it’s 16 dollars for 6 tacos and they have birria ramen!
Oh wow I’ll have to catch that Uber Eats deal!!
I was cringing watching you eat the west coast oysters, yuk. Lesson learned ask which coast before ordering oysters. Soggy nachos also another yuk. So glad Rosa Mexicano was a win for you.

I'm from southern California. The second I saw those oysters nuuh uh.
Gulf oysters!!!!
Those oysters looked grim! But that queso mac n cheese.. holy moly I want that in my face hole 😋😋😋
It seemed like you decided you didn’t like Blue Zoo before you actually tried the food.
Re: the oysters, they are definitely not all equal, it may not be that all west coast oysters are like that, could be the particular species. I really disliked oysters from New Orleans, very muddy-ish to me. I can't explain it, but not my cup of tea.

I really enjoy your revies :)
You are 100% correct pay the extra at Boathouse and get east coast real oysters.
The ones from the Boathouse were just so much better
I’ve never hear of east coast oysters being better, the PNW is literally known for their oysters! Coming from the PNW, I can’t do east coast oysters lol
Do you need reservation or can you do a walk up
I had a reservation for Rosa Mexicano, got it on Open Table. They have a lounge that has walk up seating. And at Bluezoo I just walked up & sat in the lounge.
Those are some scabby oysters 🤢
Yeah they were honestly foul
Omg i was praying they wouldnt make you sick with food poisoning 😢@@wrightdownmainstreet
I know where we are eating next trip! Take Promise there to enjoy that cheese pull! Everything looked so good, well except for those oysters. 🤮
Ohhhh I can’t wait
Those oysters looked straight up offensive. And thank you for showing bc I shall never consume a West Coast oyster. Ew, gross. And I LOVVVE oysters. But I’ll stick to my East Coasters.
Those oysters 🤢
The chips were soggy because they sat while you ate the oysters!!!!! Should have eaten them first!!!!!
I definitely should have eaten them first now that I think about it. But if I paid $30 for those nachos & let them sit for 15 mins before eating I would be appalled.
Put the Mac and cheese on the taco
looks like the happy hour prices are same as most restaurants regular prices. just sayin'.

It’s the wrong month for good oysters. You may have recently had good ones elsewhere but May, June, July and August are not months for Oysters. 🤷🏻♀️
The oysters are imported from cold water locations along both coasts
So I was always taught oysters are best in months that end in R (Sept-Dec) idk if this only applies to the gulf coast but just sharing my knowledge. Much love from Bayou Lafourche, Louisiana🤍
My cousin had told me the same thing!
I like your videos but can’t stand when u say beverage!! 😂
No oyster liquor, don’t eat it!
