No matter the size and variants, these speakers are so good and affordable, sound is detailed and balanced, what I just hate about JBL (and any other speakers) is that they still don't support fast charging despite having an updated type c charging for some reason, it could be very convenient especially if you forgot to charge and you're about to blast.

@@TarnaBarTM that depends on the voltage, that's why you see phones that can charge with more energy than laptops but I agree that, having a medium sized speaker and an extremely priced 2, and a go 2, I would buy the go 3 if it had fast chargin for use on my bike instead of my current bottle cage speaker.

I've had mine in very heavy use for over a year now and I must commend the team that designed this speaker. I legit think this is one of the goat speakers that people will remember with great nostalgia in a 15-20 years. Everyone I know who has one loves it.

I just got this speaker yesterday and it is pretty bad ass I love it it went for seven hours at my friends house and I didn’t have it above 75% volume the whole time. So it is one hell of a speaker and can last way longer than anything else I would imagine in that small of a form factor.
Just bought this speaker today, can concur that I love it. Very portable, very nice to hold, and very good sound quality. I don’t really feel the same way about the pause, I find is useful myself but I do recommend you turn it all the way up before playing the music if you find it irritating. I even have this same color. It can come with a 2 year protection plan from Walmart and I got that of course, only 4 extra dollars at my local. This review, I rate a 10/10 and the speaker I also rate a 10/10.
Unless you are constantly adjusting the volume, for what ever reason that I can't think of, the 100% clip doesn't bother me. Great review. Mines in the mail. I work in a kitchen and having such a durable and wet proof little speaker for some background tracks is wonderful!
We use a Language Interpreter at work with a JBL Pulse 2 hooked on as a speaker and when the pairing sound went on for this thing I immediately got nostalgia.
the reason they have a mute and sound at 100 % is to let people know that it is at max volume or you'd have people pressing the plus button more than they need to. It also makes in terms of a warning letting one know that the volume is now about to get louder.
I received mine as a prize, I had a choice of a few items & I'm so glad I chose this dynamite little Blast Box. The sound is awesome so evenly toned. My opinion is you can't go wrong if you get this JBL. I also wished they would shorten the charge time but I'm okay with it since the sound is super! I think the 100% thing is a way of telling the user that it's on max volume, otherwise you usually have to guess with other devices. Can you use it directly through the USB port or do you have to stream the music with bluetooth?
Bought it today, and when I tried 100 i just rolled my eyes thinking i got a foulty unit. Never had a way of telling me with other bt devices, glad to get it confirmed in this vid
It is every Bluetooth headset and speaker I've had does that lol gotta have something to complain about though can't every be 100% perfect but yeah a better battery life like 8-10 hours would be primo that's the only reason I have not bought one

GO3 is the best sound quality in a small box in one hand, there is no other speaker that sounds well. The midrange and treble are perfect. I installed a larger capacity lithium-ion battery because the original one is for 4 hours of listening at 75% volume.

That pause was made by the phone not by the speaker. It was made in case you listen to the headphones via bluetooth and the phone will tell you in that way (mine also on the screen via a message) that you are at a dangerous level for your ears.
I got an xb12 and $20 for a broken vape 5 years ago.. served me well til last year when it was passed on to my girlfriend.. then i got the go3 😎 we got good speaker tastes
It has a great sound. I just wish the battery life were a bit better. However, with the great sound this speaker puts out, you really wouldn't have to really crank it to really enjoy your music or other content. I'm sure audio books would sound great on this speaker as well.

Thrash metal is the best test for portable speakers. I suggest Cemetery Gates or Needled 24/7. If it doesn't explode after three minutes then it's good
The noise at 100% is to let you know you’ve reached full volume. I don’t think it would bother me. You’re not going to keep pressing it in a row in a normal situation.
11:40 that noise is to indicate that it is already at 100% volume. usually, in real life environment when you will be using this, you will not increase or decrease the volume looking at your source device.
Great review! Though some parts could have been shorter. I ABSOLUTELY agree how annoying those small sounds that stop the music are. It reminds me of my Sony headphones that take their time to tell me "noise cancelling off" while muting payback. As if I wouldn't otherwise know. They're doing this for the 5% of users who are just too dumb.
Maybe I'm too old and dumb but mine gives me nothing but trouble.. for instance, bluetooth is on: sound keeps stopping.. regularly every 20, 30 or 40 secs. my phone is only 3 meters away.. battery I guess is full since it's connected to the computer all the time, and I'm getting white light.. Apart from this, the speaker at certain low tones of base starts snorting, in o. words it can't handle it.. I regret having bought it..
I bought one today. Trying to drain the battery, so I started around 2pm. After 7pm it’s still holding strong, but the led red is blinking. After 9pm, still running strong. It’s still running strong as I’m typing. I’m very impress.
The sound 'Pause' @ 100% is to let you know that you can't go further, it pauses and gives the tone if you try again. You get the same prompt with JBL's headphones. Bose also give tone prompts on their headphones. It's not a bug, it's an actual feature
Just recently got a charge 5, it was a toss up between xtreme 3 and charge 5. My heart wanted the xtreme due to the amazing sound demo I had, but head said charge, as there were too many negatives on the xtreme for portability - not able to charge from car / van usb, and normal usb chargers, not able to use full power on battery, poor battery life when travelling, too large to be truly portable. The charge 5 has an amazing sound for its size, its portable, has excellent battery life, acts as a power bank, and fits in a ruck sack etc, can be charged from the van and car usb ports. But, even though I love my charge 5, I don’t think I’d be carrying it around when mointainbiking, or hiking, because it is 1kg and takes up a drinking bottle space. So although the charge 5 is my go to portable speaker, for situations where its still a bit big or heavy, I think the go3 would be perfect, especially with the belt loop to tie onto a backpack or similar - it’ll take up zero storage space. Definitely going to pick one up to be my ultra portable personal audio buddy.

I'm currently using JBL Go2 and it's one good Bluetooth speaker. Submerging it to water specially when swimming and also using it whenever I'm taking a shower.
JBL are super good. I have had the JBL Flip 5 for a while now, which sounds incredible, with plenty of bass. The Go 3 is a little power house, with decent enough bass for its size but the difference between them is pretty noticable if you play a bass heavy tune side by side to each other. If you really want to super pack light and still have a speaker with you, the Go 3 will do great but the Flip 5's sound is heaps better while still being pretty portable.
One of the best sound on that much small speaker.. That pause is for protecting the speaker on 100% and also the listener (similar as when hearing music on earphones on mobile, the warning comes after about 80% that so loud music might harm the ears).. here is for protecting the speaker..

It helps with battery life tough, those fast charging batteries are much more prone to die sooner.
They lack at details just get a hifi system and you will now what is detailed sound.
Battery size would have to be 2000mah or more to accept 2 amps of charging and 3000mah at 3 amps.

The pause indicates that you already reached the highest volume or the 100% even in my awei audio devices do the same way
Rightly mentioned. With no display one won't know the level. So as for me, the pause makes sense.
With my Charge 4, it still does the max volume chime but it doesn't pause the music. It only softens it.

You can stop the speackers from making those jingles or sounds in the app
Got mine for podcasts. Think I’ll like it. JBL speaker I have now has worked hard and lasted forever.
Just picked one up for travel. My Bose is also waterproof, but is almost 3X the size & weight.

Its an electronic device, it doesn't get TIRED like a living thing. You cant use it too much .

I'm currently using JBL Go2 and it's one good Bluetooth speaker. Submerging it to water specially when swimming and also using it whenever I'm taking a shower.

JBL are super good. I have had the JBL Flip 5 for a while now, which sounds incredible, with plenty of bass. The Go 3 is a little power house, with decent enough bass for its size but the difference between them is pretty noticable if you play a bass heavy tune side by side to each other. If you really want to super pack light and still have a speaker with you, the Go 3 will do great but the Flip 5's sound is heaps better while still being pretty portable.

One of the best sound on that much small speaker.. That pause is for protecting the speaker on 100% and also the listener (similar as when hearing music on earphones on mobile, the warning comes after about 80% that so loud music might harm the ears).. here is for protecting the speaker..
