On bigger half pipes I also find it important to keep your shoulders above your board. It's easy on something steep to fall back and almost have your shoulders level with your knees which can make you very unbalanced coming back in. Keeping your shoulders above your board and your knees helps lock it in.
Agreed! on bigger steeper ramps, the ramp definitely does the work for you but for doing them on smaller mellower ramps this is the technique which works for us!
That depends on how steep the ramp is/how chunky the coping is! For steeper ramps it’s better to let the coping do the work and for mellower popping will definitely help 🙂
You are absolutely right! We realised this as soon as we had posted it... we are street skaters by trade so our transition lingo isn’t always spot on 🥴🤣
when u gonna grab the board? but that was awesome anyway. you have some sick style a la remy stratton, jason jesse and Grant taylor. but those were ollies not fs airs don't forget that.
These are frontside ollies, frontside air is grabbing back hand on toe side toward the back of the board. The ollies hes showing is slightly harder. For both once you get to actual vert you dont pop, instead manual and let your back wheels bonk of the coping😊
Goddammit there is no "frontside Indy". It's just a frontside air. Indy airs are backside only. Same grab, but when you do it frontside, it's a frontside air.
@@TR7Skate Haha ok then. I'm an old 80s vert skater. To us, back then, tricks and grabs had actual names. Still a good tutorial though. Great frontside ollie.
@@GL64 there’s so many different tricks nowadays and as street skaters this is how we learnt to get air on transition so we just wanted to share it with people that it may help!
I’ve watched so many tutorials on this but this is the only one that has helped
👊🏻
Dude, the tip of moving your shoulders just before the ollie is just pure gold. Thanks so much!!
Great tip to look over the shoulder and spot the landing, I've had trouble launching right out and getting good height... so I think that might help.
Looking over the shoulder is a very useful tip for almost all frontside tricks on transition! Simple yet effective 👌🏻
Ok I had to watch this over and over but it really payed of thanks tr7
no worries!
Love these videos, keep up the good work guys 🤘
Cheers Brett!
Thanks I landed the trick after watching this video it really helped now I can do airs without a grab.

Great!
You're getting some huge air time. Got back in skateboarding at 49. Thanks bud. 🤘

That’s 20 years of experience 😜
Love you guys! I need help on FS tail stall/slide on transition... help a brother out please????
Consider it done!
I’ve been doing these so wrong this helped a lot best tutorial this helped more then any other ones
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻thanks for watching!!
What's the lowest quarterpipe to start on, a 6 foot?
thats a good size to go to, it woill work on smaller quaters as long as they are steep enough to whip you out ✊
@@TR7Skate aight thx man!
Do I pop hard or bounce of the coping
That depends on how steep the ramp is/how chunky the coping is! For steeper ramps it’s better to let the coping do the work and for mellower popping will definitely help 🙂
good video!!!!! Sadly, this is a frontside ollie on transition. the difference is that frontside airs, you grab them.
You are absolutely right! We realised this as soon as we had posted it... we are street skaters by trade so our transition lingo isn’t always spot on 🥴🤣
Btw there is no such thing as fs indy. But nice video tho.
A dream trick to master!!!!
🔥🔥🔥
i try it for 4 days but don t get it idk what i do false :/
Practice, Practice & more practice my friend!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cheers!

Thanks for your comment david! go check out our newer video, we realised our mistake and did a how to frontside air 2.0!

We realised this, hence the “how to frontside air 2.0” video 😜
this is not a fs air and there is no fs indy
but other than that you seem pretty mellow guys
just not what i was looking for
thanks for commenting!
I’m afraid to go ahead with the copping
Bro frontside air usually involves a grab. This trick is normally referred to as a frontside Ollie
Hence why we remade this video (how to frontside air 2.0)
I guess most poeople can fs disaster befor the fs air 😂
You really need to have Ollie perfected before doing this trick
it would certainly help!
Goddammit there is no "frontside Indy". It's just a frontside air. Indy airs are backside only. Same grab, but when you do it frontside, it's a frontside air.
We are street skaters so forgive us if the lingo isn’t 100%!
@@TR7Skate Haha ok then. I'm an old 80s vert skater. To us, back then, tricks and grabs had actual names. Still a good tutorial though. Great frontside ollie.
@@TR7Skate Also, to be fair I don't know what the hell a "hard flip" or a "laser flip" is, so we're even. Lol.
@@GL64 there’s so many different tricks nowadays and as street skaters this is how we learnt to get air on transition so we just wanted to share it with people that it may help!
@@TR7Skate It does I'm sure keep up the great work!
Bro if you don't fucking grab then it's not considered a frontside air it's a frontside Ollie.
Appreciate your feedback, we’ve already answer a comment like yours below so you can have a look at that 🙏🏻 take care and be kind 👊🏻
@@TR7Skate wow I thought I was being kind
No such thing as frontside Indy. Other than that, as you were!
Thanks for commenting! We did a new and improved fs air tutorial as we realised we were a bit wrong 😅
This is a frontside Ollie not a frontside air. No such thing as a frontside indie.
