Love the TWSBI ECO pens. They're great for "matchy-match" people who like their ink to correspond with the color of their pen. I've been using fountain pens since 1978, and some of my favorite pens are the TWSBI ECO. I have nine: various colors and nib sizes.
Is the TWSBI ECO a " gateway drug, turning normal people into full-blown pen addicts"? I can confidently say YES. Because I have been a TWSBI owner for a little over a month, if that, and I am already trying to justify buying another. I just had a firm conversation with myself just yesterday that I do not need to look at or drool over the TWSBI diamonds. Not to mention I an so itching to go ham an but a ton of pretty inks for my pens. The fight is real! :)

C- not now, they don't. I have 9 Ecos, 3 Diamond 580s and not one of them has cracked. I have dragged them from Key West, FL to Toronto CA and PEI, from Wilmington NC to Las Vegas NV, carried in baggage at the back of cars, trucks, and U-Hauls---not one leak or crack!
TWSBI may have had problems with their resin barrels in the beginning but they have definately put that problem to rest.

Twsbis Ecos are my absolute favorite pens and im only missing the turquoise one.
Its how I also got my best friend into fountain pens with a twsbi that she could use at work with a high ink capacity. Now she's hooked.
The TWSBI Eco special edition yellow is definitely one of my favorite fountain pens. Mine is currently inked up with ST DuPont Noir Intense Black, which is perfect right now. Love it 😍

Beginner or not it's a great pen for the price, along with being a great writing pen. To top it off TWSBI includes the wrench & grease to maintain the pen. Also, you don't have to worry about whether or not the pen comes with a converter. For a lot of "beginner" fountain pens you have to purchase a converter separately. I think this is a good pen for anybody. :-)
I have the Emerald Green Eco with of course the same color ink. Love it.
I love my eco-T clear demonstrator! Juiced with herbin pousierre de lune. Will get more colors in the future!

The ECO is nice, and I do own one. But I just received my TWSBI 580ALR Prussian Blue with a medium nib and this thing is gorgeous and writes great. I just wish I could get my car anodized this same color. 🙂

The video thumbnail is slightly misleading: I came to this video assuming that I would get to see all the different color variants available for this pen.
These are better than the Classic or Mini as they are so simple
As i have suffered from component failure of the nib units or the nib holders
You can change the nib section you’ll have to buy a nib section for the diamond mini to do so
The ink used in the writing sample is Sailor Manyo Sumire.
I loved my Eco, until just shy of the 1 year anniversary I noticed a tiny crack in the cap, and then a couple of weeks later a 1 cm crack in the section. After that heavy rotation is was not.
What is tge name of the blue ink you are using for the writing demo?

For the price starting at 30 dollars, I'll stick to my Bic and Fishers. At least I can afford refills for them.
