The 97 is a great 45. I sold my Sig P220 to buy it and no regrets. I changed the grips to blue aluminum that's a close match to my Shadow 2 SA with blue grips. I also have a 75 PCR KADET 2 with blue grips.
abyss1232 I agree completely. My understanding is that the PPQ 45 is only minutely bigger than the 9mm version. I carry a PPQ m1 9mm AIWB, and it is almost a compact weapon. I'd say if you plan on trying to carry your 45 this would be a no-brainer, provided you can handle the PPQ single action trigger and fairly light pull. I carry mine appendix, so you can imagine I trained intensively to know my trigger action well and trust it completely.
+Myanameis Beestingz Good to hear. Every weapon is only as good as its handler. PPQ is a great pistol. Might still get one and sneak it into the collection!
Hey! Took some time to test my installs and modifications. Been doing a lot of shooting!!!!! Plus had to save a locate my new beauty! As always, Thanks for watching!!
I saw one at my local range one day. I really really want one! The thing is though, we need a permit here in Finland and its very difficult to get. I'd like an old school steel frame CZ that makes a big hole! I think I'd want a non-fiber optic front sight for a more classic look, maybe wood grips too although I understand the aluminium ones are slimmer on a large pistol. The one I saw was one of the original ones. The finish was very nice glossy deep black. Veeery nice. Nice pistol sir, thanks for the review!

Love the cool pattern on the grips! Beautiful gun! I can't decide between this and the PPQ 45.
Both great guns. But both different beasts! Try handling both before you decide. CZ 97 has huge grip. Handles 45 acp very well though.

crockett616 It's a great pistol and handles the round very well! Great shooter if you can manage the grip.
Thanks for watching!
My 97b shoots a tighter group with the barrel bushing forced tight vs hand tight. Try using that wrench to screw in tight.
How tight are you wrenching down? I'm sure I can force it tight as possible to the next slot but it feels like I'm going to ruin the threads!
pretty tight.... it'll feel like you're going to strip it but you won't, just to the next slot which isn't too far away.
+D Yang Wow that feels terrible, haha. But I got it just like you said. Next time I go to the range, I'll Give it a shot!!!!!!
Hi. Are the grips plastic?
Aluminum
So the "B" means 45 ACP? Hmmm.
SGT SKUNK Haha. Well. . . . Not the "B"
But the "97"!!
@@abyss1232 The B is firing pin BLOCK safety (drop safe like a series 80 1911).
The BD version is DECOCKER instead of a manual safety.
