  • Locals in Paisley have been making the most of a community market offering affordable food as the cost of goods and energy bills surge by 54%.
For just £2.50 they can get £15 worth of food and household essentials.
The project was set up in lockdown at the Tannahill Community Centre to help those in need during the pandemic but it’s being continued in the hopes it’ll ease the financial burden of the cost of living crisis.
Up to 70 people a week use the market but organisers expect that will more than double in the coming weeks.
