I am in complete awe and with tears running down my face! I don't believe this was written by Bill or Gloria. No. I believe they were simply taking dictation by the Holy Spirit. This performance truly touched the deepest part of my heart and soul.

Gloria wrote the lyrics but the music was borrowed from an old classic, " Finlandia" I played that in high school orchestra. The gaithers will freely admit it and they have before.
The tune is from a work of Jean Sibelius, a composer from my country. The piece is actually called "Finlandia" - and Finland happens to be my country :) Here's a link to the original piece: ua-cam.com/video/F5zg_af9b8c/v-deo.html The hymn part starts around the 6:08 mark in that video.
Oh, and I absolutely LOVE that this arrangement keeps the original harmonization of the tune :)

There is just something about this song that stirls a person to know that God is there. Life this year has been a tough one, He never gives us more than we can handle. The cross he asks us to bare st times feels like it will break your back. However, this is the time that he walks with you and tells your that all is well. A man went to Jesus and said," Lord, the cross you have given me is much to heavy and hard to carry. I am asking that you allow me to trade it in for another less heavy cross." God said" Then go into this room and pick the cross you want." The man entered the room and looked at all the crosses. He decided on a special one in the corner. He said" I will take that one and God said, that is the one you just returned.: How fortunate we are to have him in our life and lives that we care and loveso very much. Thank you for always reminding me that he is there.

I first heard this song a couple of years ago, and was immediately floored by it's depth and honesty, and above all it's earnestness. I come back to it often when I need a jolt to remind me of where my priorities need to be, rooted in the utter simplicity of the Gospel.
Such a message, coupled with incredible, dynamic arrangement puts me back in touch with those simple themes of Grace, forgiveness and love overpower me every time, and set me right back on course.
Listen to the Prestonwood Choir sing it. But get you some tissues. No better version ... EVER!

David Phelps and Gloria Gaither were truly inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the words to this wonderful hymn. It surely must rank up there with the greatest hymns. May God grant us the power of His Spirit to live out these words in a world crying for hope, for love, for service, for compassion

I fist heard this song about 5 years ago and it's impact is still the same as it touches your spirt. You are immediately reminded of the nature of God, and the importance of walking in pure LOVE, PEACE FORGIVENESS, SELFLESSNESS etc. This song helps one to walk in humility. Blessings upon the writers, singers, musicians and all helped to bring Ted powerful words to life.

Wow,everytime I listen to these guys sing this song it ministers to my soul and spirit.the anointing that I feel coming from this song is beyond explaining.God truely give Gloria the lyrics to this song,because it's just not any song. And no one can sing this song like this line up right here.
It's so hard to hear people testify feeling loved and forgiven and fed. I believed in the same god and didn't feel that way. Now I have to learn to love, forgive and feed myself. That is really hard. I am learning, I am growing for the first time in my life. But I would really like someone to take over, to do all those things through me. I know god was never the person to love and feed me. But I always hoped he would. Hearing people testify god does love and feed them still pierces through my soul and makes me feel really and deeply alone.
I am really sorry that you have not experienced God’s love and forgiveness. That is not something someone can do for you. I know it helps if you have someone or someone’s who have shown you love and forgiveness. God does love you. Jesus died on the cross to show his love for you. He died to pay for your sins and mine to restore our relationship with God. He arose from the grave to make a way for you and me to live with him forever. It doesn’t mean that life will be all easy and you won’t have troubles. But God will walk with you through the good and bad times.
You do need to love and forgive yourself before you can receive love and forgiveness from anyone else. But Jesus already forgives you. He did that on the cross because he loves you. You must accept it. Read the book of John in the Bible. Ask God to show himself to you and he will. I am praying for you! ❤❤
