clearly a cata+ player right here, anyone who played since vanilla can easily feel the nostalgia and know how much a shittier game WoW is now.
Collectro I've been playing since vinilla, the game is much better now then it was pre-wotlk, playing a warrior was boring as shit back then compared to now and it now has a much higher skill cap.

dont get me wrong, i love the patch implements on bugs and UI etc etc in the game compared to vanilla... but some things like wall jumping just made it fun... i really miss same server BG, and even when they went to battlegroups it was still awesome, but community was so important back then. now its just a casual jump-in-a-random raid/dungeon and youre done. bring back summoning stones and DKP for me any day. the community is just shit and boring. which was half the reason why i miss those days.
That Trinket > Spell Reflect Cyclone > Bandage was pretty much the single most badass thing anyone has ever displayed in a PvP video.
Kinda felt like the druid threw that fight away. A feral druid was heavily favoured in a match-up against a warrior, and he was winning but for some reason he wanted to heal and didnt even trinket the cyclone
A lot of people back then did not even use trinket vs arms warriors.
the fight became a lot more one sided in swifty's favor i'm guessing the druid frontloaded his defensive CDs and the fight went on too long and he lost something he should have had a hand on.
And it was staged, Wence beat him like 6 times before this, then he let him get it off for the video
If you don't believe me, look closely at the debuffs, he trinkets the stun about 0.1s into casting cyclone, Wence has over a second to react and chooses not to.

To be honest, these unique items Swifty used in his Incredible warrior tricks videos such as that offhand that damages the player per second and makes a player run 60% faster. Furthermore the quest item that granted invulnerability for 10 seconds. Makes this game interesting and satisfying. While most of today's PvP revolves around an e-Sport orientated format where everything is balanced there is not as much innovation in item utilisation. I am definitely not implying that arena/bgs should change and admit overpowered items but just saying that they should implement a few of these interesting objects in some of the questing chains. And maybe you'd see skilled players trade an epic for a green with a pretty handy use feature.
I liked the old wow days a lot, where i googled for special items. It would take me forever to cross a continent. The world felt open and vast. Googling objects and reading quest text.
I don't mind it now either, infact I do enjoy playing WoW a lot even with my on/off subscription time. WoW has developed but I think its those initial memories that really bring back some of the best moments.
I understand you man, now in Pandaria what do you have? 6 talents and 3 glyphs, you can't go with different specs like in previous expansions, you can't equip PvE gear and one shot players because of PvP power, you can't do many things. I think the main goal of the Blizzard is to simplify the game and be different than the other MMOs.
Mare Kersme before the talent system there was 1 spec that was clearly better and if you didn't use it you were wrong, now you can change talents and glyphs depending on who or what you are fighting, being able to 1 shot someone in PvP isn't a good thing but you can also still do it, I have a warlock that has the best gear you can get atm and I can 1 shot people, it takes zero skill and doing arena where everybody has the same gear is much more fun plus a better test of skill, also the game is far more complex then it ever was in TBC, boss mechanics are harder, every classes now has many more spells and a more complex rotation, the gap between a good player and a bad player is much better then it ever was pre-wotlk.
You can't 1 shot level 90 pvp players.
Musically speaking, if it's Swifty or someone else, whoever picks the tracks for these videos is my brotha from anotha motha. We must have been born days apart.

I know that now is not that much to show ... they streamed lined the game like crazy but I would enjoy some good music and some PVP highlights! Make it happen Swifty, I know you want and I know you can, just cut the cord to endless streams and make another Great piece, to make this new generation of WOW players see that I know you can do! i loved TBC. when wow was truly a world you had to travel to get from one point to another. everything in the game had more value. wow got degraded when gone more and more mainstream for casual playing.

Don't worry buddy, flying mounts are not gonna be available in Draenor (even when you hit 100). For the first patch or so, but its' gonna be nice trying it out.
Lauritsdude i mind less the mounts and more the finders. finders kind of ruin the world - it makes it not a world anymore, but a teleportation game. mounts are valid after you achive many things in the quests and max lvl and requierments, it's ok, but the finders overall are not good. this is my opinion.
Swifty's haters should realize that is not him that got bad. But WoW. Why he is less active? Its obvious Wow became bullshit. Like admit it that back in TBC days you was atleast 8 hours on the PC. And now i log into wow for like to cap and log off.

I'm gonna have to disagree, Swifty did not get worse no, but the skill gab has been raised alot since tbc and he hasn't made an attempt to adapt. I don't blame him since i like watching him as an entertainer, not as a competitive player. Wow has enough of those.

I disagree. While yes, there is more competition then there was. It doesn't mean blizzard hasn't done anything wrong with wow. There may be more competition, but you need to put next to no effort to actually compete. You log in for you're cap every week, then you spend whatever day you want with what season in what month. It's because now, all you DO is compete, unless you want to pay you're subscription for nothing.
I never thought swifty was an amazing player. He is however, once to use game mechanics to his advantage. He is clever, nonetheless.
Sounds like you should just stop playing WoW if you don't like it.

There is a difference between nostalgia and realizing that wow has gone to shit lol. There's no purpose to commiting you're time to the game anymore. Log on, cap, log off till next week. That's you're only motivation. Unless you're a raider, than it's log on for 3 hour raids nights for 3 days a week, than log off, and those times to most raiding guilds is now considered semi-hardcore..

Resilience and PvP power killed WoWs PvP. Having a shit ton of resilience just kills the fun. Maybe if you were matched up against people who had the same resillience as you, it'd be different. Honestly if they want to fix PvP, they'd remove both stats
I completely agree. Hopefully in WOD they take it away.
well everybody has the same base resilience so most of the time you would be fighting people with the same resilience as you, only difference would be someone not wearing pvp trinkets which gives you a bonus, can you explain to me how having resilience kills the fun?

He's one of those mad PVPers who can't kill you in three shots.
Whenever I would go into pvp with all the resilience gear I could get my hands on, it would literally take me like 10 minutes to kill one person. While on the flip side, everyone else could down me really fast. Its tough building your core stats, while building pvp power and resilience on top of it.
Not to mention, they already nerf your core stats when you go into bg. I made a level 10 warrior twink, and by the time i was finished, he had a 70% chance to crit. However, when I joined a WSG, by crit chance was cut down to 20%, and I could barely get through a preists power word Shield. Now tell me, how is it fair if youre going to cut my crit chance by 50%, but you dont make changes to other peoples spells or abilities?
And yes, I am mad because I cant kill you in three shots. Because it takes 50 or even 60 just to get you to low hp.
BikouTenma its tough building your core stats while having the pvp stats? level 90 gear has both, if you are talking about low level twink PvP then you should know the game isn't balanced around that and never has been, also your stats don't get nerfed on your level 10 twink, your level is adjusted to 14 in the BG so you get less crit chance from the same about of crit stat.

so far from the truth, WoW during BC had a much lower skill cap then it does now, clearly you can't get above 1700rating...

The skillcap raised a lot when they removed shield abilities and stance dancing, very true LoL kids, very true.
Crau WoW still has stance dancing, still has shield abilities minus the need for a marco to do the work for you which took zero skill, plus more complex dps rotation, safeguard to banner/team mates to break roots, heroic leap, shockwave/storm bolt means warriors now have a controlled stun unlike in BC when you just hoped for a mace spec proc but yea the skill cap was higher back then, I got Gladiator in season 2 as a warrior and it was a faceroll compared to now.

Got to Share a server with this legend in Wrath. Highschool friends played on Darkspear so I transferred over. He would get swarmed in pvp whenever he popped up it was so funny but must have been frustrating. Was Horde but never ended up in a fight with him. Things had changed by Wotlk anyway. Players interacted with eachother differently then they did in Vanilla and TBC.

I miss the wall jumping...getting on top of the Throne in IF or the Bank or on the buildings between the parts of IF or ontop of IF (outside) or ontop of WSG or under WSG or or or or or or :(. PTR was fun in WSG. So many times did I grab the flag and hang out over the cap point for hours.
