"Same type of stoke just a different apparatus". Y'all might be surprised how many BMX riders listen to the show, I for one have heard every episode and tons of others listen every week. Cole and Roger are pretty much spot on with everything they said about bikes and definitely hit the nail on the head explaining some of those common misconceptions. Bike, skateboard, snowboard, scooter.. if you're in the streets getting buck you have my respect. Thanks for another killer episode boys.
I hate when salty skater pull up and tell me not to grind, its so fucked up, I have never destroyed any ledge, ever, not even a scratch and some motherfucker already try to kick me out of park. Cmon skaters, get your facts.
I was so surprised to see when I messaged Cole a couple months back that he replied like an hour later. It was so awesome because he is my favorite skater. Since we've had multiple conversations. He's such a humble guy. He's awesome!
I met Cole and Jamie at a demo in ATL circa 2005. It was bizarrely icy and snowy yet my mom still drove us to the little shop that was having the demo. Chris and Jamie were my heroes and were really great to us kids. They could have cancelled the event easy but still went there to meet and sign our shoes and hoodies. Jamie even gave me a prototype pair of his thunder trucks because I was decked out in fallen and zero clothes.
I didn't know anything about Chris Cole other than his amazing skating skills in the pictures and video parts I'd seen of him over the years. His skating is monumental in my mind. Also, he comes across as a very honest and down-to-earth, friendly dude. great intervirew!
Been waiting to watch this Chris Cole interview. He is from right around my way and was always someone I admired not just for his skating but for how he carry’s himself. A true dudes dude! Mad respect for the skate push too! A true pro
Much love for the nine club, much love for Texas skateboarding! Mike Crum, Todd Prince, Jake Nunn. Much love for skateboarding!!! Simon Woodstock, Anthony Scalamere, Scott Bourne
Chris Cole is one of the best skaters I've ever seen. He's a legend and super chill. Love his commentary for the sls events. He's soo smart and knows everything about the sport.
Dude I always used to dig down through skaters interviews to learn more about them and the Nine Club just sums it all up. + you get to see a bit of the skaters personality when they sit down for this long. This podcast is the best thing that happened to skateboarding in a while 🙏🏼
That was legitness... There’s something very comforting about Chris Coles voice. This made my Monday morning magical. I hope you guys watch HP after this. You will enjoy it
I started skateboarding the same day chris cole and the zero team came to my local skatepark for a demo. It was insane and seeing him do his thing was so special. 18 years later and I can still visualize that day over and over.
another hidden gem, chris explains alot of who he is in skateboarding. -he holds his ground game to a high standard and that's totally respectable because cole is a tech skateboarder legend.
this guy is the reason i started skating at 16 years old. I even grew my hair out dyed it black and started wearing tight ass pants. Been skating for 12 years now. All of them on youtube for you to watch. Thanks for finally getting him on here!
Tweaked my board setup after listening to Chris talk about his truck tightness and what not. I could listen to pros talk about their board setup and why it is that way forever- always super interesting info and insights
This is so awesome, so I grew up in the same town as Cole (he's like 7 years older than me) and I'm looking up all these local spots now that he's talking about. I've got new shit to skate now.
Not only is Cole the gnarliest tech dude, but he’s freaking hilarious. I come back to this one just for the laughs, dude is fast on the trigger with his humor.
Hearing them talk about Skaters Island brings back so many memories, I grew up in MA and Skaters Island had just closed when I started skating so I came up on so many stories about that place from older skaters, it sounded like heaven lol
I wonder what the core skate industry thinks about Dyrdeks MTV entertainer path. I hope he still skates- he definitely was ripping in the last footage I saw.
growing up chris was so good and i never really got huge into him just because i was into a different style of skating but he is the goat and he is so humble and cool. so much respect for this dude and his attitude
Fxck yes! i didnt think anyone else was down for that like i am. I love Pops! But i feel getting him on hear would be a whole ass mission in itself lol. considering how much convincing that had to do to even do his Epicly Later'd lol
A true sk8 warrior! I've picked up my board again and again because of watching Chris! Always a huge fan he has came so far and EARNED every last bit ! Never forget when we were skating at Karl's 30+ yrs ago and knocked his teeth out on a big spin flip that he landed but shot out on him. He was 11 I was 14. I saw the warrior in him way back! What a blessing to be able to witness all he has accomplished! Hope me and my son Jacob see ya at Prince or Bishop so we can Sk8 one day ! God bless Chris🙏 -Timmy
I recognize this a couple years late but I do appreciate hearing Chris acknowledge his body having a certain threshold as far as drops go. I'm not particularly fond of skating big drops/gaps but to hear a pro skater accept that his body has limits is oddly comforting.
Hearing you guys talk about the Chris Cole vs Chris Chann battle.. I think getting Chris Chann on here would be a great. Would love to see him on this and hear him talk more about himself and skateboarding. Yeah he may make UA-cam videos, but he's definitely a skateboarder at heart, no doubt about that whatsoever. Get Chris Chann on here!
Chris Cole is one of the most legitimate skateboarders ever... he approaches skating with PASSION... regardless what you pursue in life, being successful depends on how PASSIONATE you are.. like John Lennon or Kurt Cobain approached music, Michael Jordan approached basketball, Einstein approached physics, etc... if you want to be great at something, you have to understand it as much as possible and truly make it a life style. Cole is truly one of the greats. ...like Reynolds, it's not a job or a talent or a responsibility, it's a way of life.
Chris is 10 years older than me but I listened to his favorite band 10 years before he got into them. Still makes no sense to me haha. In the early 2000s Against Me! Sounded completely fucken different than they do now.
The "Permission to rip sir, permission granted soldier" rumor was spread by a photographer, according to Tim O'Connor who drew the word bubbles in a magazine in a 2011 Vice video as he made fun of everyone in the magazine. Now we just need a short list of all photographers who toured with Jamie Thomas and his various teams, and we can get to the bottom of this.
Speaking of Chris Chann, I think having him on the podcast would be really interesting. He is really the one UA-cam skater that is universally respected in the industry because he’s actually really fucking good. It would be interesting to hear him talk about the separation between core skaters and the “UA-cam” skaters.
mirraco323 that would be rad. I rlly wanna see Nigel Alexander for that same reason. He's so educated on both sides of the spectrum and he's a respected legend on both sides.
Chris grew up around where I did, he was a huge inspiration to me and I just found this. I remember seeing him at the park or on the street and knowing he was rad. Fucking AWESOME interview for an amazing dude.
too bad he's not entering BATB but i get his point, guys like cody, sewa, shane, luan, ... they're all great on flat but they just do the exact same tricks each time they get in offense, when guys like chris, pj, paul, colbourn, ... keep it mellow and just do a ton of tricks they know the other guys can probably do as well. I hope this year people will stop caring so much and just have fun cause those were the best games ever in my opinion.
Has Kelly not earned his graduation from the button yet? Almost 100 episodes and he still has to push to talk. For episode 100 you guys should get a table that can properly fit 4.
I used to skate with Chris a lot at Xtreme Skatepark in Ivyland all the time (AKA Ivyland Skatepark), he's always been a good guy and fun to skate with (it was totally more set up for BMX). Love Park did have some dudes that would jack some of the guys that looked intimidated and throw cups of piss on them. Totally forgot about Sonny (G-Spot) and that dude with dreads that was always with him.
them talking about how podcats work cracked me up. love this guy even more. I grew up watching chris cole with zero and circa. 15 mins outside of statesville skating is not common.
This dude, my top 3 for sure.
Add 7
The excitement I felt seeing Chris Cole's name and the nine club on the same video. Thank you crob. :)

As far as I know they're both from the east coast, so I'm assuming Jerry's his brother.
Where does he talk about cult?
coldworld5 thank you 🙏🏽
I hate when salty skater pull up and tell me not to grind, its so fucked up, I have never destroyed any ledge, ever, not even a scratch and some motherfucker already try to kick me out of park. Cmon skaters, get your facts.

I was so surprised to see when I messaged Cole a couple months back that he replied like an hour later. It was so awesome because he is my favorite skater. Since we've had multiple conversations. He's such a humble guy. He's awesome!
this made me absolutely love chris cole. his humor and humility is infectious. love him.
He's like the Jordan of Skate
I met Cole and Jamie at a demo in ATL circa 2005. It was bizarrely icy and snowy yet my mom still drove us to the little shop that was having the demo. Chris and Jamie were my heroes and were really great to us kids. They could have cancelled the event easy but still went there to meet and sign our shoes and hoodies. Jamie even gave me a prototype pair of his thunder trucks because I was decked out in fallen and zero clothes.
You should bring David Gravette. Dude definitely rips, but had a hard time with injuries lately. I'm sure he'd make for an interesting episode.

He’s still alive lmao that saying doesn’t quite work

I didn't know anything about Chris Cole other than his amazing skating skills in the pictures and video parts I'd seen of him over the years. His skating is monumental in my mind. Also, he comes across as a very honest and down-to-earth, friendly dude. great intervirew!
Been waiting to watch this Chris Cole interview. He is from right around my way and was always someone I admired not just for his skating but for how he carry’s himself. A true dudes dude! Mad respect for the skate push too! A true pro
I’m going to wait til I watch the whole episode, but “how did you feel wearing that camo?” was up there with the best of the show already..
This is an instant watch. One of the best (if not the best?) skateboarders in the last 15-20 years.
P.rod and nyjah too those three are the best of the best over the last 15 years
Loved every second of this interview. Chris Cole is the most humble person on the planet, especially considering how great and popular he is.
He is very kind.
"Permission to Rip Sir" "Permission Granted" was in a Skateboard Mag article back in like 2008ish for a Fallen tour.
Man Chris Cole is a legend, one of the absolute best watched his in bloom part about a thousand times back in the day!
So cool to find out that he’s now back on zero and fallen!! Feels like the early 2000s all over again! Chris Coles rules 🤘🏻🤘🏻
He is my fav skater of all time. So humble and funny.

Dude I always used to dig down through skaters interviews to learn more about them and the Nine Club just sums it all up. + you get to see a bit of the skaters personality when they sit down for this long. This podcast is the best thing that happened to skateboarding in a while 🙏🏼

I started skateboarding the same day chris cole and the zero team came to my local skatepark for a demo. It was insane and seeing him do his thing was so special. 18 years later and I can still visualize that day over and over.

Watching cole tre walenburg was one of my biggest inspirations in skating to keep getting back up and try again.
Watching this the same day that he went back to ZERO. Great timing 👍
this guy is the reason i started skating at 16 years old. I even grew my hair out dyed it black and started wearing tight ass pants. Been skating for 12 years now. All of them on youtube for you to watch. Thanks for finally getting him on here!
We need Rodney Mullen and Andy Anderson
Tweaked my board setup after listening to Chris talk about his truck tightness and what not. I could listen to pros talk about their board setup and why it is that way forever- always super interesting info and insights
This is so awesome, so I grew up in the same town as Cole (he's like 7 years older than me) and I'm looking up all these local spots now that he's talking about. I've got new shit to skate now.
I remember when I watched the dying to live video and his part is still ingrained into my memory. He’s the G.O.A.T.
This is my fourth time watching this😂 just make chris a regular on the show
Not only is Cole the gnarliest tech dude, but he’s freaking hilarious. I come back to this one just for the laughs, dude is fast on the trigger with his humor.
YES!!!! Love the last few guests! some of my favorite skaters! Mullen for 100?!
I like how you talked on a technical level about tricks. This is very interesting to me to hear the pros say it.
Who else here after the allegations? 😮
Hearing them talk about Skaters Island brings back so many memories, I grew up in MA and Skaters Island had just closed when I started skating so I came up on so many stories about that place from older skaters, it sounded like heaven lol
Nigel Alexander on the show! Awesome episode btw!!!
Victor Hedin that would be siiiiick!
Chris Cole is the raddest most humble guy
i can only HOPE Rob Dyrdek will get an episode one day. id love to hear him in interview mode instead of TV mode.
SefgerXD exactly bro
Yeah, I'd be curious to hear his rationale behind buying alien from DNA and leaving habitat behind and if he foresaw habitat over taking the workshop.
I wonder what the core skate industry thinks about Dyrdeks MTV entertainer path. I hope he still skates- he definitely was ripping in the last footage I saw.
ua-cam.com/video/z1fXr4ORF54/v-deo.html
This is a solid Dyrdek interview, the dude really knows how to be successful

lord of the nbd!
I've been checked out of skating for the past five years or so but this show has got me interested again. Keep it up.
Hearing you guys talk about the Chris Cole vs Chris Chann battle.. I think getting Chris Chann on here would be a
great. Would love to see him on this and hear him talk more about himself and skateboarding. Yeah he may make UA-cam videos, but he's definitely a skateboarder at heart, no doubt about that whatsoever. Get Chris Chann on here!

Finally the cobra is on! 9CLUBGANG!!
The most recognizable personality in skateboarding
Chris is 10 years older than me but I listened to his favorite band 10 years before he got into them. Still makes no sense to me haha. In the early 2000s Against Me! Sounded completely fucken different than they do now.

Send me a postcard darliing
The "Permission to rip sir, permission granted soldier" rumor was spread by a photographer, according to Tim O'Connor who drew the word bubbles in a magazine in a 2011 Vice video as he made fun of everyone in the magazine. Now we just need a short list of all photographers who toured with Jamie Thomas and his various teams, and we can get to the bottom of this.
I was gonna say Tim O'Connor too. I couldnt remember where I saw it though but that sounds about right.
Casual conversations with Chris Cole. I can see it now.
Speaking of Chris Chann, I think having him on the podcast would be really interesting. He is really the one UA-cam skater that is universally respected in the industry because he’s actually really fucking good. It would be interesting to hear him talk about the separation between core skaters and the “UA-cam” skaters.
mirraco323 that would be dope!!
i agree he's sick
mirraco323 that would be rad. I rlly wanna see Nigel Alexander for that same reason. He's so educated on both sides of the spectrum and he's a respected legend on both sides.
DreamStreet Skate Wecking ball was on the experience last week... I know he's Instagram, but still..
yeah but Weck had an article on Jenkem, big difference
Cole is so dope. Glad you guys finally got this one done.
Kelly's shirt is dope
I completely agree
It said Lotties like "lotti'es" so I was thinking it may be a collab between the skate shop in LA lotties, if so its a pretty fucking dope tee
Cole is the Man. One of the best Interviews!
Has Kelly not earned his graduation from the button yet? Almost 100 episodes and he still has to push to talk. For episode 100 you guys should get a table that can properly fit 4.
Give Rodg the button instead
Woah, I'm not trying to start any disent here. I'm saying no button not push the button on someone else.
I think they make him use the button because he laughs so much and it would be hard to hear the guests through the mic. Just my assumption.
He barely adds anything anyway
The amazing thing about Chris Cole is that he's not just a generational talent when it comes to skating... he's also extremely well spoken.
Is that same sunny that had that shop in New hope then moved to g spot I skated for them for couple months before I got arrested and went to jail 😳
them talking about how podcats work cracked me up. love this guy even more. I grew up watching chris cole with zero and circa. 15 mins outside of statesville skating is not common.
Wes Kremer, Marius Syvanen, or Brad Cromer
Every Nine Club is the best Nine Club ever
