    Michael I love your instruction! Question: Is the whoosh drill, whereby both hands are on the club, considered an effective tool for teaching a late release?

    Restricting hips. Trying to downswing hard with restricted hips DOES cause back injury! Just ask Jason Day and other professionals who have hurt themselves doing just that. And for seniors who release the club too early - well - the arms reach the limit of forward motion and the upper body just snaps against the hips that have quit turning and BAM - low back injury.

    Agree with hip tips, but didn't agree with the tilt explanation. It's called secondary spine angle and 90% of setups incorporate it. Hope it's not bad on the back. I add some when i want to hit it higher too. Just saying...
