I love that your teaching the pups not to run off when they get out of the goat pen. Hopefully you won’t have to go looking for them when they get older.
Just hope Nellie is okay when those eggs, which will rot, explode. The odor is going to be something you’ll never forget. It really doesn’t hurt to leash train, because if they get out it’s easier to put them on a leash and walk them back to the goat pen. You can practice walking them in the pen or to the house just until they learn it’s not their enemy and not to pull. When I was taking my dog to Tractor Supply to the vet, a man came in with his Great Pyrenees who was a livestock guardian dog. She was a total sweetie and did fine on the leash.

The purpose of the dandelions is to bring calcium to the soil. To get rid of the dandelions put calcium in your yard ❤

Great job putting in the new gate. I use "weed and feed" it fertilizes the grass and kills the dandelions. You get a green plush lawn without the weeds. The chicks are growing and look happy to have more room to roam. God Bless you and Grandma and thank you for another great video.

I am happy for the chickens, too! 😊Don't second-guess yourself about the puppy pen. Our Labs have always been crate trained, for their own safety. They also learned that they could only leave the large, fenced area of the yard when we were right with them. We chose to keep them on a long leash in the open area until they were reliably trained, however, because we are near a busy road.

We have a neighbor whose whole yard is full of dandelions and their purty flowers. Fortunately, he gets it mowed before the "puff balls" show up.👋😎
You should adapt the pups right now to the chicks then you could connect their pen to the big pen and let them free range in the big goat area . They could still come back to the coop at night to roost.
Trust me, those dogs are just going to be a bloody PEST to all other critters. A BIG MISTAKE!
@@alisonjones7747 excuse me ? They are Livestock guardian dogs that are bred to protect whatever animals they are with. Chickens can be hard with puppies because that flap around and run and puppies like to play. It just takes exposure to them and correction when they chase. Another U Tube channel has 2 pups identical to Ryley & Revel . They guard a whole flock of chicken and never bother them .

You do you, however you want to do it. There’s always somebody who will not agree with you. No explanations needed, period. The pups are happy and it was so fun to see them playing in the background while you were hanging the gate. So glad you got two of them. Enjoyed hearing the birds singing too. I’m sure the new birds were so happy to be out of the garage and the small pen.

Loved how that chicken jumped on your arm....lol She didn't want to get off. The puppers sure are growing fast. Have you tried the Redmond's goat rock on a rope? They have all the minerals goats need on a fun rope. Keeps them entertained as well as gives them the minerals they need.

I have never seen a that jack thing you used to get the pole out. We used to just cut them off at ground level. That is a handy tool.

If I were to adopt a dog now, I think I'd wait until they were about a year or so. I adopted my current cat when she was 14 months old. I don't have the energy to deal with them when they are as young as your two little ones. I got tired just watching their antics on TV.
I notice that Batman is very patient with them. I hope he continues.
Hope the young roosters sell promptly. Interesting to see how some of those chickens resisted leaving the cage.

The goats have gotten used to both dogs. Rylie and Revel are growing fast like weeds. Getting the other chickens out in their own area is wonderful. That one sitting on your hand/arm was so cute. Ralph, it's your property so do whatever you want to do with the dandelions, BUT those green leaves are very good in tossed salads. Chopped fine they would be good in scrambled eggs. Maybe you can share with the animals. The best homemade salad I have ever had was made with the leaves from radishes, from my brother's garden, and sliced strawberries. I just lightly sprinkled it with balsamic vinegar. The only thing I think may have improved it was fresh wild strawberries instead of the store-bought ones.

The gates must be much lighter and easier ,the pups are so cute and growing so fast ,glad you got the chickens in their outdoor pen makes a big difference and im sure the garage smells much sweeter now ,dandelions are great in a place you can manage they take over so quickly ,i mow half mine then when they start seeding they all get mowed i have enough flowers and trees for bees and birds ,i hope Miss kitty brings those babies out to see you soon must be nearly time for the formal introductions ,thankyou for taking me along i enjoyed the day ,have a really lovely week God bless ❤🙏🏻

It is still so strange to not see Smokey in the videos, but those puppies are going to be a great addition to your farm. They clearly come from good stock with great instincts, etc. They are beautiful. I hope they keep the colouring they have now because I can tell them apart for the time being, haha. If they lose their color, I'll be in big trouble!
