probably the best engineering channel on youtube. appreciate the effort!
There's a lot that goes into making a jet engine. They are some of the most fascinating machines out there, and they work by harnessing the power of airflow. In this video, we break down how jet engines work, and appreciate the engineers who make them possible.
Just one word to define your effort: "Magnificent". Highly appreciated by your work. Thanks a lot.
Best engineering , I appreciate,
As a commercial pilot, I find this video very educational
Thanks a lot! from 777 pilot in Asia.
Look, there is a lot of videos on youtube trying to explain how turbofan engine works and preforms, but you just nailed it - the best content make I've seen! Thanks!
The sync of music with the valves shutting or opening is well made! Excellent quality overall as it was in the previous videos. Thank you!
This is incredible work. It's amazing how so much engineering resources goes into the creation of these engines.
Great demonstration and narrative as usual, thanks a lot for your precious works.
Thanks a lot our Hero..it's the best engineering channel for aircraft science and technology in UA-cam...I always wait for your new updates on GE 90 engine videos. Please make more videos on B777 aircraft and engine. And you can make videos a little longer. Will wait for the next video. Hats off for your hard work..
4:13 you moved right thrust lever to reduce power on engine left xd and i really like this video
thank you very much
greetings from Yemen
Our pleasure!
I finished my A&P school last year and you covered pretty much all of it here. Great job. We had an engine that was used in the A10 Warthog that was a good example of this here. We had P&W PT-6 and Allison 250 turbo shaft to take apart and rebuild. The PT-6 is a turbo prop engine and the Allison 250 was used in helicopters. You should do a study on those.
Thank you!
Not gonna lie, that sounds fun. Taking apart and rebuilding the engines, especially working with an engine used on an A-10 warthog, which is my personal favorite plane, and the reason I play DCS world. Would love to be able to work with that aircraft, but can't enter the airforce, yet..
@@demonman1234 Unfortunately we only had 1 of the A10 engines. We were only allowed to remove the accessories. The "turbine" class was only one semester so not enough time to tear down. We had teams of 4 working on the PT6 and Allisons. We had a dozen each of those. One of our instructors was from the Air Force. See had a job of working, remove and replace the jet engines on the B2 Stealth Bomber.
@@Erik-rp1hi Ah, either way still sounds quite fun. Even being able to see it close up honestly.
this content about the ge90-115b is amazing, my only feedback is lower the volume of the background music maybe
Could you maybe do a in-depth video about the modern Flap/Slat mechanism? I really like your graphics👌🏼
I would love to see the Braking system comprehensive series. I love the videos and in depth explanation wow
Slats and flaps are mechanisms on the wings of some jet airplanes that help to increase lift while takeoff and landing. The slats are attached to the leading edge of the wing and the flaps are attached to the trailing edge. When extended, they create more surface area on the wing, which produces more lift.
The flap slat mechanism is a complex system that helps jet engines operate more efficiently. By understanding how this system works, we can better understand how jet engines work as a whole.
Now, there is no need to divide the video in parts. Thanks for the post !

Awesome! Looking forward to the next instalment
Like every video "perfect"- the only thing I propose to approve is to reduce the volume of the background music- because for us non-native english speakers it makes it more difficult to understand the already complicated explicatians and contents..thx in advance =")
Nothing like the ghost of the 777 flying overhead on approach
What a beautiful accurate clear professional explanation.
These vids are really helpful. The graphics are excellent and well explained. Thanks
After watching this series of videos, I think I'm going to apply for a lead mechanic position for Lockheed...or maybe something higher up. It's not like it's rocket science or something....Anyway, I are smart now.
Awesome work, keep it up 👏👏
it's amazing that the engine works at all, nevermind that it works reliably and efficiently .... so much precision is required everywhere and the forces are so huge, like riding a bomb that is constantly exploding in a relatively smooth rearward direction
Last date of the year 2023 found Aero nautical engineer explained every thing
graphically is so amazing.
Great presentation.🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰
Please explain how centric main axle drive on trust bearings , on fluid or any other components .
Thanks
I’ve just studied this module on my ATPL course and I wish the material in the course was even half as good as this
Wonderful
Pinnacle of engineering
i love your videos please make more and longer is okay too haha.. thankyou
Very simple illustrations kept it up and kindly make it on A320N
Excellent, thorough explanation of very specific systems within these fascinating machines. My only critique about the video is the increasingly annoying music track behind the narration. It could be left off, altogether, or maybe turned down to half it's volume. It literally distracts from narration and that is unfortunate.
Thanks for the tips!
Excellent tutorials.
Excellent animation, technical explanation and clear and concise narration.
But the bloody music is *100% ANNOYING!*
🎉 really good video
Wow, so many systems run off of fuel pressure! Interesting!
Truly an engineering marvel! Spot on video
Great great video❤
Great job mate.
Thank you 🙏🏻
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you, thank you so much!
Honesty, everyone who needs to study boeings CBT should watch this first
and i thought my little software project was complex!
Music is unnecessary in videos like this.
Great video, but can you please remove the music??!!
I really love the video, I dont know too much about termination that they ussualy use in the video as HMU, etc. So please if somebody can help where to get the information about. I will very appreciate it
Thank you.
Beautiful!
Pumpa minyak pakek gerbok dapatkan rotor putaran pumpa kenceng
I wish the music was different.
Please release a version of your videos without any background music.
Yoyo pengenpintarnih hahah
Thank you for this amazing video! Have a question:why can't the high pressure compressor handle the airflow incoming from low pressure compressor when engine is at low power setting?
Đã được bao nhiêu nhưng anh thợ may đã hiểu biết hoàng toàn đâu
Good presentation, not helped by the "music".
Fan 뒷 부분의 철 회전력을 더 높여야 되는데 특수한 철 제질이 있어야 한다고 생각 합니다.
Very informative, easy to understand because you can imagine it.. can you do the A320? Please and thank you
I will try!
@@AircraftScience Thank you! 🙏🔥🔥
Fascinating 🤨
The steady drone of the background noise makes this video unwatchable
i dont understand why this was suggested to me and why i watched 3 of these videos
Bahan yang tebal kalo longgar baling baling diam harus jangan rapat
Super power
Good information, but grammar errors and the looping music was very annoying. Sorry
Jet engines are such fascinating pieces of technology, aren't they? The performance aspect of jet engines, as covered in Part 3 of this series, is particularly intriguing. It's amazing how these engines are designed to handle extreme conditions while providing immense power. The efficiency and power-to-weight ratio of jet engines make them vital in various applications, from commercial airliners to high-speed jets. It's always exciting to learn about the intricate details that make such powerful machinery work so smoothly and efficiently. What aspect of jet engine performance do you find most interesting? 🚀✈💡
Wonder if there any purely mechanical turbine left ?
Plz make video for boing787
One question, normally the N1 shaft and N2 Shaft turn in opposite directions (or not?), in GE90 this different shafts turn in same direction? Tks and congrats for this amazing channel!
The shafts turn in the same direction on the GE90 as on most turbofan engines. Latest engines such as the Trent(900, 1000, XWB, 7000) and GEnx have contra-rotating (opposite direction) shafts.
@@AircraftScience most old engines such: jt8d, cf6, cfm, two shaft, rotates in contra rotating way to reduce gyro momentum , i do not see reason to rotate in same direction, rr had 3 shaft same direction but...
Exhaust temp reaches 1000° Celsius or Fahrenheit? Thanks
1050°C (1922°F) is the operational EGT limit.
@@AircraftScience thanks for the response! Great video!
Sensor mesin diatur daricahaya
coooooooooooooool
Depan muterkan belakan lalu disemorot lalu muterkan depan hahah
Mesin semprot dari samping bahan tebal hahah comburion camber api roket hahah
yes and no
저는 자석개념이 괜찮다고 생각 합니다.
❤️❤️❤️
Muter semprot api roket hidupnya pake 1jt rpm bahan tebal
Thanks...great animations...but awful and deconcentring background music..😭
Hello ji
Maaf umur saya 27 tahun
Lose the background music. Extremely distracting and too loud!
these are the most easy. the most dfficult part is to make engine blades that can take huge load when its 1400 degree hot. smelting point of iron.
even you kitchen knife is not from iron it is ceramic matrix compound/single crystal....
@@makantahi3731 Yeah but those engine blades takes thousand of kilos load. Does your kitchen knife also handle thousands of kilo load when its at melting point?
@@oghuzkhan5117 you did not understand anything from my answer: first: blades are not made from iron, second they are cooled, third they are made from special material that keeps strength at high temps, fourth: even kitchen knife is made from some kind of inox and it has better strength on high temps than iron, and melting point of iron is not the same as for turbine blades, is now more clear or you still think that blades are made from iron and are on melting point-even on me262 turbine blades were not from iron
what's the exhaust temp?
1050 °C.
@@AircraftScience that hot yet no expansion??? Seems a little bit don’t you think? I’ve got video of a GE turbo jet engine flying at altitude of 30k up and the engine doesn’t look hot at all?
6:15 He says the exhaust gasses can reach a thousand degrees.
@@jjgillo that must be with the burners on

While the explanations might be accurate you literally ruin everything with that audio loop. It's not that hard to buy a soundtrack for 20 bucks come on
This annoying "music" compromise the comprehension of language (not all are skillful to understand velocity of speaking foreign language).
You seem to be the only one bothered by this 🙄
I love the music…it makes you feel focussed
so much for supporting and encouraging emerging content creators -_-
While I literally agree with your qualitative assessment of the muzak, you have literally misused the term ‘literally’. I suggest you seek out a music channel with background aviation visualization and narration, for a more aesthetic experience.
