Excellent video David and explains so well why we ❤ this game so much - it has so many lessons for life as well. Every shot/day is a new opportunity and challenge. Carpe Diem. I really enjoy your focus and constant attention to mindset - too many golfers focus too much on swing mechanics and not enough on their attitude- when I hit a bad shot I simply say - “that’s interesting feedback” I had a great day yesterday. Walked up to a hole and used your overflowing water analogy, walked back 25 feet and sank it. I WILL remember that putt and the process I followed to achieve it. BTW- we are expecting 106F here in Melbourne on Monday. Won’t be playing golf.
Hi David. Good stuff as always. Had the most fun today, taking all my clubs above 5-iron out of the bag and experimented with hitting 5-iron or less off the tee. I’m a 19 HCP player, and my goal was to break 95 without woods and hybrids. I ended up with a 89 on the round. The real fun was anticipating good results on each shot, and seeing them come through. Had 33 putts, which helped.
Great way to see where your game is, shows much more consistency and better focus. If you can gain some distance off the tee with the longer clubs, then there’s a real chance to lower the score.
This is a fantastic video. It is very difficult to do the entire round. Most of us are out there to have fun and enjoy the challenge of the game. I really like your mindset and expectation videos. Thanks!
The Seniors Captain told me a story recently. A 20+ handicap player was playing with a friend who was a golf pro. The player hit a poor shot and then started berating himself. The golf pro asked him what his handicap was, and when he heard the 20+ figure, the pro said, "You're not good enough to get yourself annoyed by a bad shot!" Really was a reminder of understanding the level you should expect to play at; something you are very good at explaining.
Now I'm starting to sort my game out I get so much satisfaction from a good shot and I take your advice with me like keeping calm and focused....great advice!...By the way it looks very cold!🥶 Here in Perth W.A. we've already had two 40 degree days!🥵. Another great video David thanks.
Hi David. Just curious. What’s your club head speed with driver? It’s such an easy swing and you’re still knocking it 250 ish. I’m 61, play off 15 (12 on my home course). I’ve got what I consider a loose, easy swing but rarely get 220-230. Just wondering how it compares. Cheers. Glen 🏌️♂️
Another great video...your content promoting positive mental attitude has changed my game massively and they have helped to manage expectations of every shot.
Wonderful stuff David. Been playing poorly the last few weeks. Disappointing, but they don't pay me to wear the hat, so I can walk away, enjoying the company and the course.

My club head speed with the driver is between 100-105 mph, with a smash factor of 1.4-1.5 it gets me out to 240-250 yards
