It's a very long job Ron. Did about 5 hours on it today, don't want to spoil any future videos but suffice to say it already looks a lot different 👍👍👍👍
Had one of them back in the day, real bunny basher, had theoben gas rams sirroco classic carbine was a beaut, bsa lightning se is only gas ram I have now and that's spot on😉
I look forward to this refurb. Be careful with the trigger guard/safety mechanism...I believe that the components are unavailable...or should I say on the early ones, similarly the early Elite Trigger units are like hens teeth. I've got an Early Mk 1 in .25 Flavour and it shoots so so smoothly and for a sub 12fpe rifle give a good 'thump' when it contacts the target 😉
@@vincentenglish8489 It's going to be interesting to see what you can do for her. I quite like the Japanese approach to restoration where they not only retain damage caused by use but make a feature of it.
After seeing your tool restoration videos Vin I can imagine this HW90 being better than when it came out of the factory pal.
This is my cup of tea...I dont need normal TV...
This is normal tv for me

Evening vin, hope your good mate
I shall await further developments eagerly. Just who would Hammarite a Weihrauch action? Madness.
I'm guessing that maybe it was a last ditch attempt to save the metal work? Underneath was quite pitted...😉👍👍

Nitromors is good for removing stubborn paint Vince..
Great stuff Vin. Are you a fan of the hw90 ?
Hi Vin, Try some thinners. Could be easy.
Thanks buddy, have to be careful using those, some of them will cause flash rusting and pitting if they're not cleaned off properly 👍👍👍👍
Yeah or try Nitromors can get it from Halfords, good stuff for removing any sort of paint..
