Thanks for watching :)
For the algorithm
They had a lot of stone masons in those days 😊
they sure did, ya wont find any building like this build these days
great history on the castle but you've butchered Gryffydd and Llewellyn pronunciation's. I grew up about 5 miles up the road from Caerphilly. (Hengoed) to help with the pronunciations next time try Llewellyn = (Thlew)(Elun/Elin) Thlewelin
Gryffydd = (Gri/Gru) (fid/fith) Grifith (not to be confused with Griffith, although similar sound) all in all the video was really informative and i enjoyed it. apart from the butchered Welsh name pronunciation. :)
Thanks for ya comment Yh some words in Welsh are not easy to pronounce lol
oh agreed :) lol@@Historic_Adventures_UK
I am glad a locally born person added the comment about pronunciations. Why was this not addressed before the recording? My mother-in-law was from the area and members of the family are still residing in the Rhymney Valley.
Can’t even pronounce Wales right alone the welsh names!!
Excellent video, but it's pronounced caer as in eye.
Take a shot of your favorite libation, each time the narrator includes the word "testament" in her telling this story. You just might empty your bottle. Seriously though, good account of an imposing, but in operation , rather useless pile of stone. How is it possible that an "imposing" force of 400 odd soldiers conquered a well provisioned defense in such a short period of time? Having such a a large layout, who thought 130 odd troops would be enough to cover the walls? Strange way of doing things in the olde merry England
Why is this not being reported by a Welsh narrator, are there not suitable Welsh actors etc. this would have been much more enjoyable if someone with a Welsh accent, and able to pronounce the Welsh place names correctly had been used. shame on you.
Unfortunately I don’t know an Welsh person who would do it for me, if I did, I would have to do the same with the Scottish, as we go all over the uk, thanks for comments
Woah There Myfanwy!!! Aka Anne Taylor! The reason it's not being reported by a Welsh narrator maybe just maybe because the person is English and you know they live in ENGLAND?
It's not all about what you want or need Annie Babes!
Seems a little racist towards English folk if you ask me ? Perhaps you should build a wall to defend yourself ? Stupid idea right? Just as stupid as your comment 🤣🤣
