It is strangely emotional for me to hear the audience recognizing and reacting to each piece of the piano medley--most of which weren't even songs you'd hear on the radio, you know? I don't usually take too much from feeling part of a community of fans, it's just not my thing, but this one made my heart swell. I want to hug everyone who gasped and said "Oh!" at the opening bars of Lady Grinning Soul. In some weird way, I feel like we've all survived a year together.
Beautiful comment Rebecca!! In tears a lot today.....never one day went by without Davids music or video past year. To hear Mike Garson's piano is heartbreaking.
Great video! Great night! Thank you for posting! Mike Garsom medley: - 0:24 Lady Grinning Soul - 0:50 Time - 1:05 Wild Is The Wind - 1:27 Bring Me The Disco King - 1:45 Ashes to Ashes - 2:05 Quicksand can't place the last one?
misspixie80 do you guys even know who the hell david bowie is before his death news went all around the channel? I dont think y'all such a big fan of bowie when he was alive. It happened to Michael Jackson as well. All of sudden many people become his fans. Am I wrong? This is an interesting phenomenon though
mrsAVFC wow calm down dude. could you please use better choice of words. It is you who cannot respect people. I am not trolling or doing whatever you said. I just want to share my opinion and surely I have freedom to do so
+Alex Beardsworth I am not a dude...... I'm female. I agree, I could have used better choice of words but they would be too offensive to other readers , I am very respectful of those people. Yes you have the freedom to share your opinion, just as I have the right to tell you that your opinion is unfounded, untrue and stupid. If not trolling, what are you doing making that kind of comment. Are you a Bowie fan?
I honestly think you are simply trolling. Trolling or being extremely ignorant, which is not your fault. I think your comment about Michael Jackson only confirmed it. If you are not a troll, maybe you are too young or have been living in a bubble during the past 20-30 years. Everybody knew who Bowie was and still everybody knows him. No one could seriously say that Bowie became famous only after his death, as you explicitely said on the first comment. Neither in terms of "fame" nor in terms of "recognition of his work". The "interesting phenomenon" you are talking about is only that after his death many people who never listened him in a "serious way" got some interest about his work, thus he got a bunch of new fans. That's true. But this didn't change anything about his "status". And even if you were slightly right: why do you point it as a bad, "unfortunate" thing? even if he got billions of new listeners around the world and became "suddenly famous" elsewhere, your comment seems just a piece of angry resentment.

The last one is Memory of a Free Festival!
"The sun machine, is coming down, and we're gonna have a party"
