Joelster, are they giving you a unit to demo or are you just going by the small time spent in a hotel suite which was how the dragon started yet there were no reviews for a long time and almost all reviews were from people who bought one themselves. I was very disappointed with the dragon and can’t believe a few people actually bought 2 or 4 additional subs made by Nakamichi for $2500-$4500 which brings the price up to $5-8k.
@Keithking4337 hopefully i get one for review, they offered me the dragon last year but I didn't accept it cause I don't have the space for it, this one also looks big, hopefully it fits in my space.
@@theartist25614well I had the dragon and was very disappointed with the lack of overhead effects and the 2 8” subs were god awful. I currently have the new Sonos ultra, 2 era 300’s and one gen 4 sub and it’s been superior to the dragon imo. Good luck. Don’t get fooled by these hotel suite demo’s as the dragon did this but they never sent units out to reviewers except for 2 guys and that was a year after. You need to hear it in your room and the demo’s sound great on almost every soundbar.
You want Sonos, you get Sonos. Want something better? Look into the theater quad or the citation surround system with the towers. Otherwise, it's best to move to proper speakers.
@@theartist25614 just depends on what your looking for man. Want the quads on a budget, everyone is selling their hta9 systems for cheap and they pretty much pull off the same thing. Super minimal speaker footprint for room filling surround.
@@Keithking4337 There was a firmware update that added bass to the original subs, v2.6. But personally, it feels like some people have too ambitious an expectation for the quad 8" drivers. They are 8" subs after all. The system actually sounded great with those original subs in my medium sized room, unless cranked to louder than comfortable volumes. Adding a single 12" totally changed the game though. The 12" sub is not your flubby JBL 1300X / Klipsch type of cheap soundbar subwoofer. Its a literal heavyweight with bass capabilities to match. Totally worth it!
Guys, NAKAMICHI basically paid youtube influencers like Joelster and others to hype up the product but under delivered just like their NAK Dragon, it's a Chinese quality product with Japanese Premium Price label on it☝️
@JoelsterG4k before you promote their new product for free, you at least try it at home because your integrity and credibility are on the line. NAK tend to overhype their sound bar but under delivered it. Their NAK Dragon 8" subwoofers sounded like a sub having an asthma when watching contents with dolby atmos.
@nahlho1807 This is not a review video, when I get one for review I will share how it really performs, this video is what I experienced at the show. I think what you are talking about is sound interference, I had that problem with their Shockwafe model and they fixed it with an update, I even made a video about it.
@@JoelsterG4k nope, not a sound interference .. that's why mate, you gotta test it yourself before they put your face and other youtube influencers to conclude and promote the Hype. Go see Andrew Robinson's unbiased review on NAKAMICHI DRAGON.
The soundbar is not ready for preorder but you can register for interest here.

@JoelsterG4k this is exactly what I meant🫣
10bit 5.1 DD audio can't work on my 8,Bit Receiver is there a way ? VIA Digital Optical or not ? Denon

@@Luke-qs2cg I just checked out the quads. I never knew they existed. My word. They seem like a masterpiece. Thanks

the Measurement on the Dragon were not that great on the Sub
That's last year's problem, that has been addressed
It's a very nice soundbar and I have the dragon
@@MrBjorn6 good to know
@@MrBjorn6addressed how? By purchasing 2 additional 12” subs for an extra $2500? I don’t see how that is fixing the problem?

Thanks Joelster. Nak. Makes good products.
